I also ran into a local that recommended I try their duck fat fries. The duck fat fries were delicious and topped with Parmesan and scallions with a creamy aioli for dipping. I don't know if the air conditioning was broken, not keeping up, or if they just don't have a/c but friends, this old gal could barely handle the heat. Came here on a Sunday, it had just snowed the night before so the restaurant wasn't super busy, but it still had a good crowd. We had heard of this place for a while and wanted to check it out and we're so glad we did. The food and service were amazing. Walking in it's a narrow restaurant, that has a bar on one side and tables on the other with kinda a rustic feel to it. We were seated immediately and our drink orders were taken. Since we hadn't been there before we got water and then pursued the menu a little for drinks. I had a question between two drinks and the server was very good at describing the drinks and ultimately decided to try the Darryl Strawberry, while my husband got the Nor'easter. The drinks came out and they were really good. They weren't overly strong, you could taste the bourbon in each of them, but it wasn't overpowering. For food we got the OPA! to start and then the Billy for me and the Mother Clucker for him. The OPA was awesome. It's pan seared feta with honey and served with fresh bread. The honey added a little extra sweetness to the feta which went really nicely with the crusty bread. The Billy had goat cheese, bacon, onions and, a tomato jam on it. It was delicious. The creamy goat cheese with the bacon and smokey tomato jam all went amazingly together. I got onion rings as my side, which were crunchy hot and so so good. The Mother Clucker was also really good. I only had a bite of it to try, but was definitely impressed. My husband upgraded to the duck fat fries which were out of this world. Super crunchy, great flavor. Our server kept checking back on us the whole time making sure we were satisfied with our drinks and food, but we had absolutely no complaints. The beer was a little warm, but I like that they have partnered with a local brewery. We had the mother clucker sandwich and regular fries with an additional side of onion rings.
