I am writing to formally express my deep disappointment and concern regarding the extremely poor and unprofessional customer service I received at your restaurant's drive-thru on November 12 between 4:00 and 4:15 PM. I have been a loyal McDonald's customer for many years, and I have never experienced anything remotely as disrespectful as what occurred that afternoon. I pulled into drive-thru lane #2 and provided the young lady at the speaker with my mobile app code. She entered it incorrectly multiple times and began to sound irritated as I politely repeated it for her not once, but four separate times. When she finally claimed the code had expired, I calmly explained that I had just generated it, refreshed the app several times, and that the same code kept appearing. She insisted I close and reopen the app again, to which I replied that I had already done so multiple times. At this point, the employee mumbled something under her breath. When I asked her politely to repeat herself, she snapped, yelling loudly and unprofessionally into her headset, saying, "What is it that you're trying to order?" Her tone was aggressive, frustrated, and blatantly disrespectful. Taken aback by her behavior, I replied that my order was simply a Happy Meal and added, "There's no need to give me an attitude." I then asked for her name so that I could speak to a manager. She flatly refused to identify herself (which is fine) and told me to pull up to the window instead. When I reached the first window, I asked the employee there if she was the same person who had been speaking with me. She became visibly nervous, stumbled over her words, and denied it which, given her reaction, did not seem truthful. When I asked again to speak to a manager, she closed the window and turned to speak privately with another employee for about two minutes, a clear indication that she was likely explaining the situation and attempting to avoid accountability. After a delay, a woman who identified herself as a manager came to the window. I calmly recounted the entire interaction. She informed me that she had heard the entire exchange over the headset and agreed that the behavior was inappropriate. She apologized and attempted to excuse the employee's actions by saying the restaurant was extremely busy, and the employee was likely frustrated. While I appreciate her honesty, that explanation is unacceptable. McDonald's is a fast-paced environment every day, and anyone working in a customer-facing position should be trained and expected to maintain professionalism under pressure. The manager then took my order, had me pull to the second window, and another team member handed me my food. Even as I received my order, I was shaken by the lack of respect and professionalism I had just experienced. I immediately called the store after leaving the drive-thru and spoke with Cam, who was professional, courteous, and empathetic. She listened carefully, apologized sincerely, and assured me that the General Manager would be informed and that such behavior is not tolerated. I appreciated her professionalism and prompt response. That said, I remain deeply disappointed and frankly appalled by the way I was treated. I am the Director of Operations in the customer service industry, with over 20 years of experience overseeing staff, managers, and frontline teams. If one of my employees ever behaved this way toward a customer, raising their voice, refusing to provide their name, and deflecting accountability; immediate disciplinary action and retraining would follow. McDonald's, as a global brand built on consistent service and family values, should hold its employees to the same high standard. This incident not only reflects poorly on the individual employee but also raises concerns about the training, supervision, and culture within this location. The employee clearly lacked both emotional control and customer service professionalism, and the interaction demonstrated an urgent need for customer service retraining and accountability measures. No paying customer or human being, for that matter, should ever be yelled at, disrespected, or dismissed while attempting to place a simple order. The fact that multiple employees and a manager heard this interaction unfold over the headset makes it even more concerning, as it suggests a breakdown in leadership response at that moment. I respectfully request that this matter be escalated to the General Manager and Area Supervisor for review and that appropriate corrective action and retraining be taken to ensure this type of behavior never occurs again. I would appreciate a follow-up communication confirming that this issue has been addressed and that McDonald's continues to uphold its commitment to quality service and respect for all customers. You will not get what you ordered. We live within 5 minutes of this McDonalds, but we drive to other McDonald's locations because this one has botched our order 5 out of 5 times. Today we gave it one last chance, they asked us to pull over so they could make one of our two different breakfast sandwiches fresh, then gave us two of the same anyway after we waited. My husband doesn't eat that type, so had to make his own breakfast anyway. Ordering breakfast here is aggravating. You order online on the app before the breakfast period ends show up at the drive thru around the transition period between lunch and breakfast and it seems like they enjoy to tell you that they can't make your order. Who runs a business this way? read more

Excellent service from the staff at this location, in fact the best service at any McDonald's in all Kitsap County. They even returned to the table to ask if everything was alright, which they're supposed to do but no other McDonald's (or fast food joint for that matter) does. I don't know what the deal is with the parent company that owns these McDonalds franchises, but they literally cannot make up their minds on what system to use at which restaurant when it comes to deliveries being picked up. One minute it is "come to the doors to pick up your order", the next it is " wait in the drive thru line to pick up the order". If you are going to flipflop on what to do like this, drivers will get mad and say something. If going through the drive thru is what the end decision is, then have both freaking lanes of the drive thru open at each store so things flow easier. New is always good but I sure hope they start paying attention to the lobby a little more, of course I don't understand people trashing the place when you are just having a burger & Fries. New Long table with Bar Stools is unique, but dining area is pretty small at this McDonald's. They have a new flatscreen TV hanging in the dining area but haven't seen it operational. Drove thru last night. At the window to get my food a guy with long reddish/light hair told me it would be few minutes for my fries so I should park in space 1. Before I did that I asked him if I had said I wanted 2 hot mustard sauces for my nuggets? He seemed annoyed and said he didn't know if he could do that. I thought ok. Seemed strange but I parked. He brought me my food. I asked for ranch and he said he couldn't do that. I said I'd pay. He acted very annoyed and told me I would have to go in to the counter. There was 1 car in line at the window. Funny how he was so put out at me for asking for sauces. When I looked in my bag he had given me 4 hot mustards. That was not what I asked for. I only asked for two. He obviously thought i wanted more. He didnt listen to what i had originally said. I don't know if this guy was on drugs or what. His customer service and attitude sucked. Nobody wants to go park and have their food brought to them. They want to get it at the window. So your really putting the customer out when you ask us to do that. I'm at the point now that I don't think I'm Going to be returning to this McDonalds. I have never been to a fast food place before and got raw food once much less twice. About 3 months ago I went there and got a Double Quarter Pounder Deluxe and it was all raw, only cooked on the outside. Today I went there and got an Ultimate Chicken sandwich and the chicken was completely raw, not cooked at all. My girlfriend called them up and told them and one of the girls told the lady on the phone that that was impossible, that she had been checking the temps on the chicken, I took and extended lunch went back down there and showed them the raw chicken. I was pissed, and I made sure they knew it. I told them it's one thing with raw beef, but a whole different thing with chicken. One girl told me that it wasn't uncommon for customers to bring back raw food...WHAT? You want $15/hour and can't even be bothered to do some quality control? They got rid of one of the only non-carbonated low-calorie beverage options in favor of super-sugary fruit punch but now they charge a dollar for water! Where they were awful before - messing up orders, not listening to instructions, disregarding the fact their customer was diabetic when dealing with the ordering of diet beverages and giving them sugary versions with ZERO remorse - now they are to a point where I can safely say the only reason this place continues to exist is due to the fact it is a franchise of something people are addicted to. I just tried to go into McDonald's East Bremerton and they have a sign on the door that said LOBBY CLOSED. When I asked one of the customers, he said this "THEY DID NOT HAVE ENOUGH EMPLOYEES TO COVER both the lobby and the drive-thru." . So I was feeling especially lazy today, as was in the mood for random chicken part substitute products. To McDonalds! I pulled up to the drive thru, and there were two hipsters without a car attempting to order through the drive thru. As they let me pass, I rolled down my window and shouted "Your fixie bikes don't have enough mass to set off the sensors, hipsters! Also, PItchfork Media only gives Of Montreal good reviews because they claim to be from Montreal!" They gave me ironically disapproving glances as I drove off. (Unrelated side note: I'm not sure if drive thrus use sensors.) After my tirade, I pulled up to pay for my corn-based substitute items, when the elderly woman working the drive thru asked me if I wanted any sauces. I responded "I WANT ALL OF THEM!!! ALLLL THE SAUCES!!!!" Sensing my irrational frothing rage, she responded, "Sir, we aren't allowed to give you all of the sauces." I tried to calmly articulate why I desired a great deal of sauces, but it didn't come out quite like that. All I can really remember is shouting about how I was Goddamn Electric. After receiving my corn and preservative contructs, I sped off. Take Me Home Tonight came up on my non-iPod mp3 player, so I cranked the volume up and shouted along as I drove home in the wrong lane. So I came here last night, excited after a long day, because I had a free frappe with the McDonald's app (which btw is an awesome app; every 5th frappe is free, any size and a whole lot of other deals). So I ordered my large caramel frappe with extra caramel and man these things have become my new addiction. So how the deal works is every 5th frappe you get is free, all you have to do is either order the other 4 frappes on the app, or have them scan the barcode when you go through the drive thru. It keeps track and even if the first 4 frappes were all small (only $2) your free one can be an extra large. Well in order to get my free one, the drive-thru employee has to scan my free barcode at checkout, however as soon as I went to hand the young gentlemen my phone, it died! And I didn't have a charger with me, and I had no cash nor my debit card. So there i was, not sure what to do. I asked them if they could make it a small frappe and I'd find $2 in quarters or change in my car. But then the employee OFFERED TO BUY THE FRAPPE FOR ME! He is a young Kid, but without Hesitation he pulled out his wallet fully prepared and happy to make sure I got my frappe. Now, when they aren't free, the large frappe is just over $5, and I refused to let the kid buy it for me. I wouldn't be able to live with myself so I told him absolutely not, and over walked his manager and he explained the situation to her, and she instantly comped the frappe and made sure to add extra caramel to it also :) I was so moved by not only the customer service, but by the generosity of The young male employee. I know it's only a damn frappe, but the kindness almost had me in tears. I had a terrible day that day, Had a bad fight with my boyfriend, had to pay unexpected bills, early that day I had spilled coffee on my new cashmere scarf, so the free frappe was really the only mood builder I had, and instead on turning me away and telling me to come back when my phone is charged, these few McDonald's workers truly made my day. And it just goes to show, it doesn't have to be some 5 star restaurant to impress. The kindness and care given to customers and just given to our fellow humans is so important. Tried getting some nuggets for the dog cause he is a good boy and so I didn't have enough so I said "scratch them nuggets off my order miss" and when I got the food they insisted I checked in the bag to make sure I had everything I was in a hurry and didn't really look so I leave. Friday the 19th I came to McDonald's and my Medium Fry was great! Hot too! But unfortunately the lady name SHARIKA if I'm correct, was rude to one of the other employees ( who's disabled) right in front of customers smh. She may have not even realize it, but if I were the lady she made the comment to I would've been embarrassed. After the girl took my order I walked over to the side to wait for my fry and Sharika comes up to the girl at the front counter and says loud enough for everybody to hear " you need to pull down your shirt" and the girl pulls down her shirt and takes the next order.. Wow!! So I'm not just giving this a 1 Star because of one visit, but rather 3 different visits. I used to find this location convenient because it was on the way to the ferry and I would try and grab a quick bite before work. First bad experience: The restaurant was empty, it was 555am- and I was there was a car behind me- it took them 15 minutes to bring out my order from start to finish. Where's the convince in that? And as I sat at the window waiting for my food 2 walk up customers inside had ordered and already received their food minutes before mine!!! 2nd experience- same as the first- so I swore never to come here again in the morning. 3 and final lousy experience- My family came through the drive through a couple months after my less than good drive through visits. It was 10:20AM and although we only had 10 minutes left before breakfast ended- we were still able to order our food. After we finished order, someone came out and changed the menu from breakfast to lunch. When we pulled up to the 1st window to pay- what does the lady say?! " Sorry, but we are no longer serving breakfast- we can't fill your order". Oh hell NO broad! Are you serious? I quickly correct her by explaining it is 1028- we had placed our order 8 minutes ago with 10 minutes left for breakfast, they were required to fulfilling our order because they took it without any type of explanation they may not be able to fulfill it. She said they were not. You can not understand my disbelief in their horrible and incompetent service. Literally as if the owners of this restaurant good care less about customer service and more about lining their pockets. ( I of course have made sure to steer all family and friends away from this establishment with lots of success) So without paying I go to the 2nd window- quickly ass for the manager and explain to her that she is obligated to fulfill our order because of the time we had placed it, i even had the receipt from the first window to show her the time it was ordered at. She begrudgingly obliged but not after talking under her breath at how ridiculous i was being. Lady it's the principle here. I could care less about the culinary experience or lack of that McDonalds has to offer. They are down right the worst food out there. The quality of the food has really gone down hill. We keep trying them hoping they get better but always a disappointment and waste of our hard earned money. My hubby wanted a crispy chicken sandwich. It rang up as the "ultimate chicken sandwich". What a joke...it was ultimate alright. Ultimately burnt!! Had 2 pickles on it and a fan of mayo or something.
