This is the slowest McDonald's I have ever been to. It is the closest one to my house and time after time, it is always slow. Plus, the food is extremely poor quality. Fries are cold and soggy. TERRIBLE! Canfield Ohio McDonalds - a black shift manager with pink hair that was from the Austintown store argued, and verbally assaulted my mother that is 75 years old over a happy meal and her order, while the drive thru girl stood over her shoulder also arguing and being loud with my mom. When my mom tried to explain what she ordered, the woman told her "no, youre wrong so take what im giving you" when my mom asked for the manager she said "I am the manager" my mom said "of the whole store" the girl said, thats none of your business" then my mom said, okay.... what is your name please - then the girl said " I dont have to give you that either". My mom said, " you realize your hair is pink and I can simply describe you" - at that point the lady tossed the bag through the window and closed the drivethru window. My mom was visibly shaken, as she goes there just about everyday. Im disgusted and appauled this behavior is allowed. This place was closed down before for over a year because things like this along with insane wait times were happening. EVERYONE hoped it would be bette under new management , and for the first few months it was. Sadly, this is behavior is being permitted again. Okay, it's official. The all new McDonalds is open. The old reviews (any before 5/31/2019) are not applicable anymore. This location now has a 100% new building, 100% new staff, 100% new owners (that bought this specific franchise location from the owners that let the older McDonalds go to pot), and a 100% new dynamic. In other words: the old reviews don't have any relevance in judging this location, it's not the same place. Given the all of the above, this McDonalds is worth another look. Incredibly rude employees kept insisting I owed money when the app said I paid in full

Writing a review for a mcdonalds is like writing a review for wal-mart. No one cares, they will make their cash regardless. But, in this area, the only two mcdonalds that won't try to actively poison you, and really sell food that meets mcdonalds standards, are the canfield and AUSTINTOWN locations. The ice creak machine was down? HA! The west side Youngstown location had a broken shake machine for OVER A YEAR! Beat THAT! Well, when you have an owner who really doesn't care, what do you expect? The canfield and AUSTINTOWN mcdonalds are actually usually good. Usual late night complaints, don't get fries at night, they will have been there for half an hour. You know, food cost. Potatoes are SO expensive. And anyone who orders a filet o fish at night gets what they deserve. A dried out piece of glued together fish parts and a bun that is just this side of hard as a rock. Again, have to assume the late night swing manager does not have authority to toss old food. Stopped again at night, 10pm, and again, lousy cold fries. Why go to this place except for fries? It literally takes three minutes to cook the fries, but they hang onto them until they are like strips of lukewarm styrofoam. Changing to one star, because the only reason I even go to mcdonalds is the fries. If these folks can't get THAT right, what the F? Other than those minor issues not bad at all. read more

This is hands down the "ONLY" Mcdonalds within a 20 mile radius of this location that knows how to serve fresh hot food!!!!.........awesome!!!!!!!. ....maybe it was a freak experience i don't know.... time will tell when i go back. ....but my fries were very hot and fresh(i asked for fresh hot fries when ordering and they said "no problem"with a smile)....burgers were hot and buns were very fresh....coke was very fizzy....and apple pie was fresh and hot. ...i am getting hungry writing this :) well worth a try if your in the mood for Mcdonald's. just a side note: seems with Mcdonalds these days it is hit or miss and its come down to,when they say at the drive thru "will that be all" you have to tell them "can i get my cheese on my burger melted and could i get fresh fries?" and hope they don't get mad for you asking......pretty sad when you have to ask for fresh hot food when that should be a given. .....but the Canfield Mcdonald's workers are kind and courteous and serve fresh food....but id still ask for fresh fries....well worth the wait. .......no rocket science to fast food success "hot fresh food with friendly service = more business"....keep up the good work Canfield Mcdonalds! read more

This McDonalds is not managed well. The other night we wanted some ice cream. Keep in mind that it is about 10:30 at night and still around 80 degrees, so this is prime ice cream weather. It was late and there were only a few places still open that served ice cream. We pulled through the drive through and all the ice cream menu items were covered with black tape. When I inquired about ice cream, they said their machine was broken and they would not be serving ice cream until they got a new one. We ordered a drink and pulled around to pay. Their air conditioning must have been out of service also because they had fans running and the employees were sweating profusely. I felt bad for them, but obviously this was not a very appetizing situation. This restaurant is old and run down. It needs an infusion of capital to bring it up to average McDonalds standards. read more

I promise you that you do not want to visit this McDonald's. It is the dirtiest McDonald's I have ever seen and I've been to Thailand. The girl at the counter was super rude and unprofessional. She had that stereotypical im too good to work fast food attitude. After waiting for 15 minutes I finally get my food. Fries with the taste of cardboard because the heat lamps dried them out probably for hours, and nuggets with the consistency of a brick. I will never ever visit this one again. Have been going to this McDonald's ever since the new owners have taken over. All of the crew has improved as a whole from speed, language, and proper made orders. There's this wonderful young lady I believe her name is Carma, she's always very pleasant through the drive thru and looks like she helps the crew as much as she can.
