This place deserves zero stars, but 1 is the lowest Yelp allows. Worst fast food experience of my life. Waited 40 minutes for 2 Happy Meals; there were no other customers when I arrived, but the restaurant was backed up by the end of my visit. Watched while staff there routinely tried to pass off wrong orders to every customer in line. Then they lied and said they had called my order number and that I didn't retrieve my order when I was there at the counter waiting for my food the whole time. Had to ask 6 different staff for my food. Finally got Happy Meals, and one had cold food, and both had hot apples. What the heck were they doing for 40 minutes? No apology. No concern. Do NOT eat here! I stopped at this McDonalds location W. Peace St in Canton, MS, on Saturday, May 6 at about 3:25 PM. This location is another example of what happens with absentee ownership of a restaurant. This McDonald's restaurant was FILTHY and one of the kitchen staff was cursing a blue streak for the roughly 5 minutes I was inside. She used the F-bomb and M-F'er bomb a half- dozen times at least, even after the shift lead went into the kitchen and told her that there were customers at the counter. I'm a grown man and the use of course language is not gonna hurt me at all. However, since this woman looked directly at me while she was cursing out her co-workers, and specifically said "I don't care" when her Shift Lead tried to stop her, I have to imagine she would have said the same even if there had been children or the faint-of-heart present. This is not a good look for the Store Management or for the presumably absentee owners of this restaurant. As an amusing aside, the thing this woman seemed to be yelling at her co-workers about was that (this is a direct quote, except I don't spell out the F-bomb) "I never said I wanted to be a M'F'ing manager". --- I'm gonna go out on a limb right now and say I don't think she ever has to worry about that happening. The dining room floor was filthy and sticky throughout the entire restaurant. Even though the dining room was completely empty - except for the Shift Lead and some of her friends sitting at a table in the corner - half of the tables were visibly dirty and covered with crumbs and smears and scraps of straw wrappers, etc. In addition, the Men's bathroom was filthy, had no soap, and had greasy hand prints on the wall above the urinal. I'm going to guess that neither the dining room or the Men's room had been cleaned at all on this day. On a positive note, the food was exactly what you would expect to get at most McDonald's. The fries were warm-ish (not hot, not crispy) and the burger was okay. I also received a 3 piece chicken nugget and TWO hot mustard dips, though I had ordered a 4 piece and 1 dip packet (via the mobile app). That worked out 1 and 1/2 nuggets per dip packet. Seems like more dip than needed for 3 nuggets, but it'not my money being thrown away. Not recommended. read more

This place has an extremely busy 2 drive thru lanes set up. The food is always fresh, but you definitely need to check your order before leaving the window. The employees were very nice this visit. I saw the lines at both drive thru lanes, went inside where there was no line! read more

Quite possibly the worst McDonald's I have ever been to. We were on the way back home from a long drive and stopped by the nearest McDonald's for food. The line is incredibly slow, they completely screwed up our order, their speakers are horrific -- you cannot hear what they're saying and they cannot hear you very well either. I have been to many horrible McDonald's during my lifetime and this McDonald's is by far the worst. Would absolutely not recommend. Go to the Popeyes across from here or the Burger King beside it. Even in the world of McDonald's restaurants, this McDonald's blows! The staff here is not generally concerned with what customers want, not concerned with the fact that most of their customers are probably road-weary Travelers needing a pick-me-up or a bathroom, or anything else in life I would imagine. They just didn't seem to give a shit about anything. Two or three of the employees didn't even know how to make my coffee, the bathroom was dirty and did I mention the fact that the employees didn't really seem to give a shit about anything? Oh, and the bathroom situation was no bueno. First of all, when you're located right off of the interstate in a desolate part of the state, I would think that you would want to have more than one urinal and one stall in the bathroom. People drive for long periods of time and they commonly need to use the bathroom when they make a stop. Additionally there were cigarette ashes in the stall all over the floor. So somebody, probably an employee that doesn't give a shit about anything in life, was smoking while they were dropping a deuce in the stall. So pretty much fugg this place. read more

Visited this location on a stopover trip headed back to Memphis. They were busy, this was a Sunday right after church I presume. But the staff was a little unorganized. They didn't seem to have things quite "together" enough to handle to crowd. They were out of change in the register. The ice machine was broken. There were flies taking over the self-service drink machine . The fries were COLD AND SOGGY. If I stop off of this exit again, I'll try Wendy's or Popeyes to satisfy the hunger cravings across the street. Service was slow and the food was underwhelming. read more

The worst McDonald's I have ever been to. Placed my order for two extra value meals one being a Big Mac and the other a quarter pounder with cheese deluxe at 8:37pm inside the restaurant. There were two people that had ordered before us. Our order wasn't ready until 8:57. We get the food it's cold. We decided to eat in the restaurant big huge tremendous mistake- there is a constant beeping from multiple sources behind the counter, employees are complaining about the noise and so are the customers but no one is doing anything to stop it. I had to walk out not finishing my cold meal. If I were to have complained about that I would have been there another 30 minutes - no thank you! We stopped on our way home to Minnesota for a "quick " bite. We had to wait to order because no one was at the register . Finally someone came a took our order. It looked like they had plenty of help, but they would leave the customers in the restaurant and wait on drive through. Then when someone's order came they made them wait for their drinks while they kept waiting on drive through. We waited about 25 minutes for a small (quarter pounder meal and a smoothie) order. This is unquestionably, without doubt or reservation the worst McDonald's on the planet! No kidding. I have never seen as many flies in restaurant as this one. I mean hundreds. The soda machine was down which was undisclosed after my 20 minute wait to place an order. 30 minutes after the order I still had not received my food perhaps due to the manager getting in a loud vocal argument on the phone with an employee who had some employment issues. Screaming out loud!!! When I got finally got the 35 minutes after ordering , I fought off the flies to get the hell out asap. Visited this Mc Donald's while returning from Louisiana for a funeral. Firstly the employees attitude was horrible. Employees make smart comments after customers are served. Team leaders/trainers don't know how to take simple orders. New employee did not know how to input my request nor did her trainer. And they just stood there looking at the computer. We stood in line for 15 minutes with only one couple ahead of us. The restaurant had more flies inside than customers. One customer asked for fresh coffee and to have her cinnamon roll heated. The Employees response was the coffee is always fresh and the roll is hot. As she walked away with customers in line the employee muttered "what did she think this is". I have never seen anything like this I was appalled and did not order. This place needs serious ovehaul I don't think training can help these Employees, because you have to have people who want to be trained. Close this restaurant, clean it and get newly trained Employees who desire to work and provide a service. DON'T EAT AT THIS MCDONALD'S!!! read more

The food tasted fine, but I had good reason to be wary of it. We were traveling through and stopped in with our four kids. The bathroom was the worst we'd seen in the four days of our travels from the northwest. An employee was just walking out, which irritated me because in both stalls, toilet paper littered the ground and pee was on the seat. In one of the stalls, there was no toilet paper at all. The place smelled like it hadn't been cleaned all day. Surely, that employee noticed how unclean it was, but I guess they didn't care, 'cause they didn't come back to clean it. As my husband was getting drinks, he noticed chewed up gum sitting on top of the lids. Extremely noticeable. And the place wasn't busy! There were employees walking all around, but who was cleaning?! Anyway, I started to worry about the quality of the food if the quality and cleanliness was not very good. My husband told the manager and she came to apologize, which I appreciated, but when you're a parent, and you understand that kids NEVER think about where their hands have been, you just wish that an establishment like McDonalds would be better managed. read more

This was the worst McDonalds I have ever been to. It took forever for them to take our order and there was only one person in line in front of us (it was not the customers fault it took so long). We waited for a while to get our food and after fixing our drinks they did not have any straws so we asked one of the workers for some straws and she forgot to give them to us. I then had to ask two other workers for straws before I finally received them. I waited a ridiculous amount of time for my iced coffee and when I received it, it was an old white color and tasted like sweet milk. They must have not put coffee in it. I went to throw it away and they didn't have trash bags in the trash bins and the trash bins were not even where they were supposed to be. All of the workers were moving in slow motion and showed no concern for the customers. If I could give it 0 stars I would. read more

I have been irritated since my experience at McDonalds in Canton, Ms on 03/17/2018. I'm going to try to shorten my comment as best I can. I rated this facility a 1 star because it is ran very lousy and unprofessional. The Manager has no idea what Customer Service means. Her lack of professionalism made me so angry that I wanted to punch her in the face and mop the entire floor with her. Orders get screwed up and she does not take the initiative to properly fix them. As a manager, if you care about McDonald's reputation and Customer Satisfaction you would have not had a customer waiting more than 15 minutes for an order that was not taken correctly in the first place and given stale French fries. What really made me angry was that I asked for a large cup of water. The Manager didn't care that I had waited more than 15 minutes for my order, she sent a worker out with my order and a small tea cup size cup with no water in it at all. By now I am very upset and approach the MANAGER with my complaint. She tells me that I needed to pay a $1 for a large cup of water. No consideration for me, The Customer. After reminding her of my wait time she reluctantly gave me a large cup. I am not a violent person but I could have grab her by her boy cut hair style and mopped the floor with her. Today is 03/20 and I am still fuming from that experience. McDonalds is not that great of a place to eat as is but I was traveling and my grand baby wanted a Happy Meal, therefore we all ordered something so we wouldn't have to stop again.
