The boy at the window didn't add my code and told me to exit and go back into the app. Then he said, you can't use a code now. Well, no duh. That's how the app works. I explained it to the manager who seemed just as dense as the boy at the window. I ended up telling them to cancel my order since they couldn't figure out that the fry was supposed to be zeroed out. I know it's a Yelp sin to review fast food places, but I can't help it. This is one of the absolute worst McDonald's I have ever been to. There's nothing fast about this food. It's like pulling teeth getting food here, even for a simple one person order. And when you get it, chances are it won't be right. The last.... Three or so? Times that my friend and I have come by, one of us had a wrong order. Which is terrible not only because it's 1) not what I paid for but also 2) it is going to take another eternity for them to remake it and fix the problem. Most of the time it's just not worth it. There are a million other fast food places in Carbondale, and I would rather go to any of them (except maybe Wendy's) than go here again. read more

We came through the drive through today, Sunday, Nov 26th around 10:40am, and wanted to order 1 Sausage Egg & Cheese Biscuit and 2 Sausage Burritos. Both items are "All day breakfast" items. We were told they "didn't have any burritos rolled" so I couldn't order those. So I ordered 2 Sausage Egg & Cheese Biscuits instead. When we got to the window to receive our order, we had to wait about 5 minutes, and the employee came to the window and asked if we ordered 2 Sausage Egg & Cheese biscuits, which I replied that I had, so he took out 1 Bacon Egg and Cheese biscuit and made us wait another few minutes while they tried to get our order correct. When we finally received our order, it was still incorrect. There were two biscuits with only sausage on them. I decided to go inside and ask for a refund and was told "There was no manager in the building because they had to go get another employee" so no one could give me a refund. THERE WAS NO MANAGER ON PREMISES DURING THIS EVENT. They offered to take my name and phone number and call me when the manager returned. I told them this was unacceptable, and I'll just take what I actually paid for. (Since I basically had no other choice). At no point during this entire visit did anyone offer any kind of apology. read more

Never before have I ordered a cheese burger to receive a bun with condiments but no burger? Really McDonalds? Cheese burger but leave the meat off? Sad to say this location needs better trained staff. I should have learned better from the one time I went through the drive through and the woman handed me my bag and I got a quick glance at her nails and thought EWWW. and even said it loud enough for her to hear it. I try not to give bad reviews, because sh*t happens and I understand, but this is seriously the worst McDonald's anywhere. I've never had a good experience here. It's a 24 hour restaurant and I arrived at 10pm to be told that they were closed. I ask why it says 24 hours and I get no comment back. I pull up to the window and see 3 other cars still waiting on their food. I think they were open and just didn't want to serve anyone. Even if you do get your food it's most likely going to be wrong and just thrown together all willy nilly. This is the worst most unfriendly place I have ever been. If I could give 0 stars I would. There's 2 other McDonald's in town that are also not great but they are still miles above this one. Save yourself the time and frustration and just go somewhere else. read more

I paid for a COCKROACH in my ice coffee. If anyone knows anything about bugs, where there is one there is many. Not to mention this was a baby cockroach. Disgusting! I drank a decent amount of my coffee and saw it crawling around the inside of my cup! It was still ALIVE. I am calling the health department. Do Not Go Here!! No exaggeration, I was on the verge of puking when I got home. You're in the food business. Your number one, top priority is safe food. I know it was midnight and the workers were probably "over it". But this last visit was most disappointing. The young lady at the window sounded upset that I drove through to get some food. She was not very friendly at the window, either. Then, when I got to the second window, 2 different people approached the window without even greeting me properly. One looked like a manager that was having a bad night. And when I finally got my food, my fries were nowhere near hot. They were barely warm. I waited in line a good 15 minutes to get my crispy snack wrap and mcflurry. By time I got to the window, the girl tried to charge me for someone elses order and then had to re-ring up my order. She then verified if I wanted my snackwrap grilled or crispy, and again I said crispy. As I'm driving away, I open up my snackwrap to see that it's grilled.... Seriously people? Dropped by this McDonald's after a night of drinking at siu's unofficial and I really just wanted to get in and out so I could get on the road... So first thing, I go into their bathroom and it's disgusting: used tampons and pad and toilet paper all over both stalls.. So I choose the least gross, lock the door and sit down to do my business.. Well I guess the lock was broken or some shit because I hear a girl come in the bathroom and she walks right in on me.. So yeah, I tried to brush that off and went to order my food.. I get a simple order, a number 3 with an orange juice.. I get the orange juice right away but then I wait like 10 minutes while people who ordered after me get their meals.. I go up to the counter to ask about my food and it literally takes them 5 seconds after that to hand me my order... So I waited 10 fucking minutes for an order that they could have had done in 2 seconds... Food was alright though I guess... read more

Terrible service! I went through the drive through specifically to get some French fries for French Fry Friday (celebrated in my household some weeks). I got a couple other items and they forgot my fries! I called and they made me go back through the line, made me Show my receipt and then was rude about it. I will never get food at this McDonald's again! Another instance is when I went to get breakfast before work. And had to take my receipt without food and get a refund later because I waited so long I was beginning to run behind. Come on mcdonalds! Do not let your standards slip!!! read more
