We have had several bad experiences in a row here at this McDonald's, and would not recommend it to anyone. My young adult kids were there a few days ago and said they waited FOREVER on their food. When it was finally brought out, there was no real apology or attempt to make anything right, and all of my kids thought that the staff seemed like they legitimately were on drugs. Tonight we ordered a single value meal- a DOUBLE filet of fish with extra tartar sauce, fries, and a drink. When we got home with our meal, the sandwich was only a single filet with no tartar sauce, the bun was mangled and partially smashed, the fries were not very full, and the drink had basically no ice and was lukewarm. We tried to call the store probably 15 times over the course of an hour but no one ever picked up the phone and the recording said that the voicemail was full. Apparently, this franchise is under new ownership and it is just AWFUL. We've lived in this local area for nearly four decades and have never seen this local McDonald's in this bad of a state. We absolutely will NOT be going back. read more

Every time we go to the McDonalds in Chillicothe, IL the Ice cream machine is always down! Ridiculous! Why don't you get it fixed?

I ordered ahead through the app to give them time to prepare as we were just passing through town. We waited 10 mins on 2 McChickens, regular and we got 2 spicy mcChickens instead. I also ordered a 10 piece nugget meal and they forgot our fries which was my sons. The lady apologized twice; I don't know if she was completely by herself but seemed to be. Super disappointed by service. Ordered on the mobile app and had to wait over 45 minutes to even get someone to talk to me. They basically told me they weren't open and to go away. The staff was super disrespectful when talking. Didn't even offer when they opened or when things would be up. They also told us no refund because they never apparently received the order. They open at 5 am. It's now 6 am and still no food and they aren't "open". Ive tried to hold off on making a review but this plus my experience with EXPIRED food is my limit. The McDonald's Chillicothe Illinois, I have to rate high. They honor Veterans. The service is good. They give Veterans a discount and sometimes I get a free Coke. The fokes here are hard working, and I enjoy being there. read more

Slowest drive through ever... each car taking no less than five minutes once they reach the window...

I waited at the counter for over 10 minutes along with a woman that just needed ketchup. All of the Kiosks except one were working, and the drink station was filthy. Come to think of it, it is filthy every time I go in there. I know fast food businesses are short staffed all over, but their negligence on customers and cleanliness leaves me speechless. Tl;dr: saw a mouse in the drink dispenser. Stopped here halfway through a road trip because I have kids, and this location has a playplace. First of all, the restaurant, at least back in the play area, is filthy. The floor, the tables, the play equipment...all look like they haven't been cleaned in years. The surfaces of the climbing gym are sticky with grime, and it is littered with trash and debris. Second, and most disturbing, when I was refilling my soft drink at the drink dispenser, I saw a live mouse poke its little face out of the machine, turn around, and climb back up into the machine. Now all I can think about are the scores of diseases that could be incubating in my body after having already consumed an entire cup of mouse pop. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT GO HERE. Went through drive thru, speaking clear English to the speaker, they still can't get the order correct, pull up to pay window and order is still not correct. Restaurant manager is at window and I explain how almost every time I go through drive thru never getting the orders correct and constantly forgetting to put items ordered in bag. And to add insult to injury, receiving attitude from regular employees whom don't listen to their manager right in front of me as the customer. Just So Done!!!! read more

The food is good but the service is always really slow and sucks. Doesn't matter the time you want food there is always two long lines at this place. It's a huge change from the peoria ones. They also get my coffee drinks wrong a few times. read more
