Char Grilled Maxwell Street Polish Sausage Fries Chocolate Cake Shake

Had a delightful dinner here before leaving town. The Maxwell St. polish sausage is so good, loaded with grilled onions and mustard. My friend needed to order dogs to go to take home, they were able to keep all the toppings and the bun separate so no soggy dogs! And you can't beat a cake shake!! Food was quick and came out hot.

Been to one in Chicago many years ago, but this was my first visit here. I went recently specifically for the Italian beef and Chicago dog. That's what I ordered, but even though there was a poster advertising, a Chicago dog combo, the lady at the register told me they don't have that combo. Kind of confusing. Anyway, I got the Chicago dog, onion rings and an Italian beef with hot peppers. The food was good. The atmosphere was decent as well. I'll be back imagine.

Pretty sure this isn't a hotdog w/ everything on it.

Messed up order 2 times! Went back a second time the order was STILL wrong! Do better! Handing out chocolate cake because you messed up the order! At this rate you will never have any cake left!

Great prices for really good hot Italian beef sandwiches, Chicago hot dogs and chocolate cake. Bonus! Great fresh iced tea. It's busy. Be ready to wait a little bit. Lots of dirty tables, had to beg to get a cloth to wash. Recommended

I love Chicago Hot Dogs. And I loved going to Portillo's in Naperville when I lived there. So it's nice to see a Portillos in Peoria. Now if they just open one in Florida....oh yeah, there's a Portillos in Orlando and Tampa and St Pete. Love Portillos!

Burgers are one of the best in town. Italian beef one of the best too. The staff sometimes pretty good.

Whoo. This was a rough one. From the moment we walked in, things felt off. We told a server we'd…read morelike to dine in, and she looked genuinely puzzled, muttered something unintelligible, and vaguely pointed across the room for us to seat ourselves. There was only one other occupied table--a group of six young men--and a few people at the bar, so it wasn't busy. Our food came out fairly quickly, which was one of the few positives. My partner ordered the bison burger because he'd never tried one before. I grew up eating bison and know what a properly cooked bison burger should be like. This one was incredibly dry,far drier than it should have been. Unfortunately, our server disappeared after dropping off the food. She never returned to check whether everything was correct, ask if we needed anything, or see how the meal was. We waited and waited, but she never came back. Eventually my partner went to the bar and asked to speak with the manager. When the manager came to our table, it turned out to be our server. The same server who had ignored us while spending plenty of time chatting and flirting with the table of young men. She approached carrying the check, not asking what the issue was or how she could help. When we explained that the burger was extremely dry, she argued that it didn't look dry to her. I spoke up because I had tried it too, and it absolutely was dry. Then she claimed that bison burgers are *supposed* to be dry. If that's the case, why argue that it wasn't dry in the first place? After a back-and-forth discussion, she finally agreed to let my partner order something else. The bigger issue, though, was the service. In my 50-plus years, this was one of the most unfriendly and unprofessional server/manager interactions I've ever experienced. It takes a lot for me to complain or argue with restaurant staff, but this situation was handled poorly from start to finish. This was our first visit to Khaki Jack's, and unfortunately it will also be our last.

And we highly recommend a visit, especially if you are familiar with the brand! Like the BloNo location there are at least two entrances - the one further west is for a good sized hosting/ordering/waiting area while the one closest to the ballpark has more direct access to the bar area, but is way more space-restricted and will likely be a traffic jam on game days. If you're looking for a table, both entrances open to the rest of the cool 'industrial chic' dining areas in the form of a large street-level open concept dining area and a good sized split-level (up 3-4 steps) back room - which despite having wide entrances that make it feel part of the larger space, likely can easily be cordoned-off for private functions. One visit in and the lady and I (plus our friend and former Ptown bartender) can say that the food was every bit the same top-quality, large portion, methodically cooked and creatively accented sandwiches and wraps, served in old school pie pans with red-white check paper liners, that we are used to. The weekend special shaved ribeye Cali burrito was particularly epic, cementing what seems to be the first of the 3 or 4 things that keep the crowds coming back. The second thing is the creativity and discernment applied to bar side - in the form of the beer menu, which is initially focused on bottles/cans since they just received the liquor license the day before our arrival. Despite this there was a good mix of 'domestics' and at least 20 quality craft options from 6 or 8 fantastic breweries representing a good variety of styles but leaning like those at the original location - that is, a few more IPAs and 'sweet sours'. They also maintain a thoughtful and inventive cocktail list and will NO DOUBT start building up the whiskey/bourbon collection in the coming weeks. Although having high quality and fairly compensated employees helps immensely, the last thing that really drives their business is something we often say three times - location... In this case, it's literally less than a block from home plate. Easy to find. Easy to love. We'll certainly be back!

Seeing the constant influx of customers right at supper time told me this place has to be good. Everything is sold separately and they have a little bit of something for everyone. This had to be the best chicken in town. Crispy outside and juicy Inside makes for a great tender (or tendo as they call them), these come with some of the best pickles and toast. Honestly, I could probably have used a few more pickles but that's me. You can choose your heat level too. The potatoes with dill were so good! Portions are decent too. I saw someone leaving with what looked like a milkshake that I'm getting next time. It looked like the perfect way to cool off on there hot summer days. I think I'll have to try a burger next time.
