This was the first time I've been to McDonald's in a while. Unfortunately, I did not like what I saw. It seems that they've leaned very heavily on the digital ordering system, yet that's done very little to make their food more affordable. When I pulled said food out of the bag, I was very surprised that that little amount of food was as expensive as it was. Also, part of my order was messed up, which I feel is a reflection of the touch-screen ordering process. As for the positives, and what I think saves it from a one-star review, is that I loved the Christmas decorations (despite the fact that they were very corporate), and that the few interactions that I had with the staff were very positive. However, I don't see myself coming back to this McDonald's, or any other McDonald's any time soon. read more

Sign outside says open 24/7 .. NOT TRUE!! I went to order breakfast for my soldier graduating today, parking lot was empty and I pulled into the drive thru. Worker was very rude, told me they don't open until 6 am, mind you it was 4 am and my graduating soldier was very hungry. She has not been able to eat good food since arriving to boot camp, I just wanted to treat her with some breakfast. Will not be coming back ANY TIME SOON. Horrible manners and terrible service. First time visiting Columbia and I would not recommend to anyone in the area. Talk about appreciating America's hardworking soldiers. What a shame on this place. read more

My electricity went out so I decided to go to the gym. On the way there I decided to stop at McDonalds (yes I was going to the gym don't judge me) anyway. I pulled in. I normally do not go to McDonalds because the staff and speed of service is always subpar. But this trip was very pleasant the cashier was very friendly and even told me "well I know you said one but we have a special on two. So you can pay $5.99 for one or $5.00 for two. The service was quick and the same cashier ask later if everything was ok. I have never gotten this good of service at any other McDonalds EVER! read more

Employees will do whatever they can to get out of making the order. If you can get food it will be wrong or made as lazily as possible. Count on waiting a long time they like to try to hold up the line unnecessarily. read more

Absolutely awful service. I'm two cars back from where you order and I've been sitting here for 20 minutes. And this isn't the first time this has happened either. From past experience, the workers are rude, give out the wrong orders, and don't have the ability to understand what the customers order. Please just go to Bojangles or PDQ instead. read more

The two stars are for the food only, the service, well.... Long wait for breakfast. The young girl processing the order acted like she didn't want to be there when I visited three weeks ago. I couldn't wait to get out of there, and head home to Sumter. Customers beware! I made a point of stopping instead at a nearby Chic-a-Fila the following two weeks on my Cola trips. This particular McDonald's is lackluster at best. The staff generally provides poor service, orders are usually very wrong, or take multiple explanations to get right. On SEVERAL occasions this location has been limited to water and iced coffee as beverages. Additionally the speed or service is poor, at times the wait has exceeded 20 minutes with only a handful of cars in line, or the staff is only answering one side of the drive-thru. If you can help it avoid this McDonald's. read more

Sat in the drive thru at 10:00 at night behind only one car for fifteen minutes. Not only that, when I finally got to the speaker to order, I sat THERE for a good three minutes before anyone even spoke. The milkshake that I ordered was delicious, however there should be no excuse for that long of a wait behind one car at that time of night. I suggest if you drive through this location that you don't have anywhere to be, because you're going to be sitting there awhile. read more

Waited 5 minutes for an employee to even come to the cash register to take our order, when they clearly saw us and a line of 10 others behind us waiting. Ordered normal breakfast items, sausage egg and cheese biscuit and hash brown for the husband, and a breakfast burrito for myself. After taking a few bites of my luke-warm breakfast burrito I saw a sticker on the wrapper saying it was supposed to be sold by 6:53am and it was 9:40am. Pretty foul to get a burrito that even has a label telling these idiot slow workers when to toss it out and they still serve it 3 hours later. Didn't even bother to have them make a new one. Clearly they have no standards for food safety here. DHEC needs to check on this place asap. read more

Haven't been eating McDonald's for a while cause frankly they use cheap meat. I ordered the quarter pounder and was pretty tasty but my girlfriend wanted breakfast and ordered the sausage egg McMuffin. By far the worst McDonald's I've been too. I've tried this location 3 times late night and each time at different times of the night the were "close for mandatory breaks" I understand that the staff needs a break but every time I visitedbthis location they have a closure. Terrible! Tried to order an iced coffee, was told that there was none made..settled for hot with nonfat milk. I got there at 10:55am, because everyone in the entire world knows that McDonald's starts serving lunch at 10:30am, and I wanted a burger. When I tried to order I was if I wouldn't mind waiting 5 minutes to place my order. It was at this point that the very nice lady at the counter explained to me that this one particular McDonald's starts serving lunch at 11am on Saturdays, and that she would "get cussed out" if she sent in a lunch order even one minute before then... When I pointed out that the giant menu was showing lunch, and that no breakfast items were listed, her and the other lady at the counter sort of rolled their eyes in such a manner as to imply they have had to go through this speech many times....
