First time trying out Henry's Restaurant and Bar. This food was so delicious! My husband and I ordered the Shrimp Philly. The shrimp philly was so full of amazing flavor. From the peppers, onions and mushrooms! I could have eaten that by itself, haha. Yes, the veggies were good, but the shrimp was soft and tender with bursts of flavor from each bite! It also came with seasoned french fries. My husband ordered the Carolina Burger with tator tots. The way he was eating that burger and rolling his eyes at the back of his head, haha I knew it tasted miraculous. He stated it was juicy, flavorful and the homemade pimento cheese was delicious. We also tried the Hush Puppies with cinnamon butter, and they were so good it's hard to just stop popping them in your mouth! We also ordered the Dijon Encrusted Salmon sandwich and all I can say is it was good and scrumptious:) I am so full you can imagine how many typos were in this review, haha. Henry's Restaurant & Bar we are coming back! It would be crazy for me not to have round two:) It was too crowded for pictures, but customer service was good, the place was clean, and the restaurant was packed! Overall, I enjoyed everything. First time here and I tried the smoked salmon BLT. They should have been ashamed giving such a small piece of salmon on that long loaf of bread. Least the bacon covered the whole bread. The flavor was good however. Their sweet potato fries were spectacular, I love when they come with cinnamon and sugar. The sweet tea was on point too. Parking lot is kinda small so I can imagine on a wkend or a game night it could be hard to find close parking. read more

Henry's is pretty nasty. I stopped in to grab a drink, and the restaurant felt pretty gross. My beer was a little bit more expensive than the same drink at other restaurants, and the bartender was obnoxious as well. She was talking very loudly about some stuff that should probably remain private, and there's really no need to speak that loudly as well. All-in-all, I did not like Henry's, would not recommend it, and most likely will not be coming back. read more

This is a great place to eat. They have chicken sandwiches, burgers, cheesesteaks, salads, and so much more. The burgers are big and delicious. They even have a pimento cheese burger, which tends to be my go-to. There is a variety of food and beverages here. He will probably enjoy anything you order. The service was very good. However, the parking is very challenging. The restaurant has a very small parking lot, so you will likely have to park somewhere on the street. There was a 3.5% "fee" on my bill. I asked the server if it was for credit card use because I would pay with cash. They said the fee was on all bills but they didn't know what it was for. If you eat at Henry's check your bill and question unexpected charges. read more

The service here is absolutely awful we didn't get checked on for 45 minutes and my friend got her food after an hour and 20 minutes then mine took an additional 30 minutes. Not busy at all and our server was rude and complained the entire time. I have never been to a worse restaurant in my life. This is absolutely insane i've worked in restaurants all my life and i can't imagine the management that allows this.Our servers name was Sara so maybe just don't ask for her she was so rude and after my food took almost 2 hours she wouldn't even get me a box to it home. this is insane. read more

Another great experience at Henry's! The staff is always nice and helpful. This time I got the chicken Cesar salad wrap with raw fries. (8/10) - tasted pretty good! We also got the build your own burger - medium well down with blue cheese crumbles and blue cheese with tots. The restaurant is always clean and includes great seating options and tv's. I've been here twice so far. On a positive, they have a beer on tap that I enjoy and they make their fries in-house which I appreciate. The main meal is hit or miss. I had a burger and it was good, but the chicken sandwich was dry and oddly burned pointing to being previously cooked and reheated in a pan. Other folks that I've gone with have gotten wraps and have been very disappointed. I also get a bit of a judgy vibe here from other patrons. read more

This is my 2nd time coming here and I'm so glad we did. My parents came to town to drop my daughter back off from vacation with them and we had just got back from vacation as well. We wanted to take my parents somewhere with good brunch/ lunch options. We had a group of 7 during peak brunch hours so I'm glad we were lucky enough to get a table. My dad got salmon blt and they gave him a whole cut of salmon! It looked so bomb. It must have been good cuz he ate the entire thing. My mom got the house burger and she tore hers up too lol. It's pretty safe to say they enjoyed their meal. Our waiter seemed pretty slow at taking our order so that would be the only complaint but other than that he did pretty well in serving a big table. My bf and I ordered crab cake Benedict and the Texas burger with crispy tator tots. I'm not a fan of poached eggs but the crab cake Benedict was so good. The crab cake was thick and had a lot of meat and I loved the creamy hollandaise sauce. The burger was my fav part. The meat was tender and flavorful with Chipotle sauce and bacon. The tator tots were so crispy and crunchy, it went so well as a side for the burger. We also got $3 mimosas since it was sunday..if you have a chance definitely try them out. read more

Great atmosphere to watch a game at. Everything was cooked to order and had great taste. You get a generous serving of fries with your burger. I got the Henry's burger with sweet potato fries. The fries are okay but missing a little bit of flavor but they were super fresh. I would probably still order them again. Servers are nice and attentive. Came to visit on a rainy afternoon. It was slightly crowded but there was plenty of seating on the covered patio. My friend and I ordered the fried pickles to start and they were so delicious! They were piping hot, not too salty or greasy. I ordered the bacon burger and my friend got the Texas burger on a regular bun. The ingredients were fresh but the burgers were a little over cooked to my liking. They have plenty of special throughout the week. Delicious bar food and great service. Devine Street has plenty of high quality restaurants to choose from so it can be tough to reach all of them. A couple friends and I decided to try out Henry's for lunch after hearing great things. The inside was a bit crowded, so it took a minute for us to get seated. Once seated, I wasted so time on getting an order of friend pickles in. The pickles came out in a well-sized portion and tasted quite fresh. Out of all the appetizers, I definitely recommend trying out the pickles. I ended up ordering the Texas Burger which one paper seemed like the most exciting and filling burger. The food came out promptly and I was shocked at the size of the burger. It was huge with lots of topping complimenting it well. The burger was delicious and offered plenty of flavor and spice as well. The fries were packed with flavor with a delicious seasoning scattered on them. Satisfaction levels were through the roof with my party as we were left full and ready for a nap. read more

Henry's is a decent burger joint amidst the many in Columbia. I would not say it's bad - it simply doesn't stick out to me in comparison with all of the other options around. Located on Devine street, it has some street parking as well as a private lot, though the lot can be a bit annoying to enter and exit at times as it is cramped. The interior is akin to most sports bars - lots of TVs, a bar, etc. It can be fairly loud depending on how busy it is. No complaints about the service, it was fast and efficient! As I stated, the food is decent and the reason why I gave it 3 stars. My girlfriend and I ordered two different burgers (signature and I believe the jalapeño burger) and we were whelmed. I could be convinced to come back and try other burgers and foods they have until I find one that stands out to me, but again, given the abundance of local options, I'd most likely go elsewhere. They also served a lot of fries that were a bit too salty for my taste also. I would not recommend against coming here - I believe most restaurants should be given a fair chance and it seems like Henry's is well-liked overall. read more

Typical bar in Columbia. Not super comfortable seating with everyone at individual tables crowded close together. Not a lot of privacy in the space and I would recommend if you want to have a private conversation. Food was well done but options were typical of a burger joint. Sweet potato fries done well. Low carb options available if you just let them know what you need. No issue with getting a lettuce bun or extra butter for keto. Had two random arcade games in the back that surprised me. They also have a large community table so if you are feeling extroverted I'm sure it would be fun. Our original lunch option had too long of a wait so this met our needs but it's not anything noteworthy. Just a good spot for some lunch chow and it's mostly reasonable price wise. read more

We were coming into Columbia for my son's boot camp graduation so I did a little research on the area and the local food spots. When we travel out of state we like to eat at non-chains so we ended our evening at Henry's. The staff was friendly and attentive from the moment we walked in. Living in Georgia for 12 years and northern VA for 9 you get lost in all the hustle of the city but I never forgot the good southern hospitality. Wow. After the horrible serve last night at the other place (look through my reviews) we decided to come to Henry's Wow. The other place needs to take note. My wife brought her 5 months old schnoodle. The waitress took our drink orders we got the drinks in least than 5 min and she even brought a water bowl for the dog. I am very impressed. Food is awesome as always. The restaurant is clean the outside part nice. The young clueless kids giving them self lung cancer was annoying when their smoke blow over on us. Went for brunch and the food and portions were great. Mimosas include a full bottle of champagne and a glass of juice. Sat outside on the patio and there was good space and social distancing. The atmosphere was very laid back and family friendly. The only drawback is the limited parking. read more

Actually a 3 and a half stars. My whole family came to celebration a UofSC graduation and the service was really slow. Once we sat down, the food took over 30 minutes to even get to us. Our waiter was nice even though it was her first day. I got to order their BBQ fries which really good, not too spicy. I also ordered their fried chicken sandwich with American cheese which was yummy and had enough crunch to it. My boyfriend had the surf and turf burger (add with a burger since it only comes with seafood originally), which he enjoyed as well but not sure if it was worth the add on. My parents said their meals were okay. I would try this restaurant again but only go if you have time to wait around for food. It is hot when it comes out though. They do offer military discounts but only for those in uniforms, which doesn't make sense and needs to be changed for everyone in uniform. read more

The food is very good! But the service is not so great!! They are generally always full, which means they're good. They get a lot of college kids. They have a wonderful outside area (it's covered). They have a small bar, but it's always very lively. I got the crab Benedict, because I was craving one from charleston. It was soooo good! I did not care for the bass brown casserole. They French toast was SO good. My husband also got fresh fruit (very ripe and sweet) and the shrimp and grits. He is pretty picky about his shrimp and grits so I was worried. He loved them. I would of given this a higher rating if our server was more timely. This is only our third time going, and every single time, it just seems that they have more people than the servers can handle. The food is great, I wouldn't recommend if you're in a hurry. This is a laid back place, and I would say you're AT LEAST going to spend an hour here. By the way, their brunch is great. Henry's, Henry's, Henry's. I've been wanting to come for a couple of months and finally got the chance today. It was rather good. When you go in it's basically a bar and serves the purpose of mostly being a bar. My only real complaint is that the restaurant portion is very small. I'm talking like only being nine or ten tables. I ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries and the two people with me both got burgers. The buffalo chicken sandwich was excellent. Melt in your mouth chicken and really good buffalo sauce. I got sweet potato fries which were good. They had cinnamon on them which didn't really pair terribly well with a buffalo chicken sandwich. I dunk my fries in ranch because I'm a true Southerner and ranch plus cinnamon isn't a great mix. Anyway, the food in general was excellent. Staff were alert and on top of everything. The wait time was quick and we all enjoyed our food. The burger folks I was with said their burgers were excellent. I definitely want to go back. They have a lot of chicken options for me and in general everything is under ten dollars. At it's heart Henry's is bar food. Really good bar food. read more

Came here for brunch to meet some friends. I ordered the Hungry Bennet because I couldn't decide what I wanted and everything on it sounded good. It was delicious but, oh my gosh, it was HUGE! I ended up taking the majority of it home and had breakfast for 3 more days. My friends the southwest omelette, shrimp and grits, and French toast. They all said theirs was good, too. Nice area to sit outside and of course mimosas! Beware the glasses for mimosas are flexible so don't grab them too tightly. read more
