I just want to thank the amazing staff today at the Commerce, Tx Mcdonalds! I had an impromptu birthday party for my 6 year old and they made sure we had absolutely everything we needed, had the BEST attitudes and smiles! You guys were rock stars today!! I visited this morning and the food and service were great, as usual. But I had to tell an idiot sitting behind me to stop singing out loud as if he was on "Star Search". The whole restaurant could hear him, but I was the only person with the guts to tell him to "knock it off ". He started out with his music playing way too loud, but I guess that wasn't annoying enough, so he started singing too. It's the restaurant manager's responsibility to maintain order. We stop at the Commerce McDonalds every weekend. The food is good and hot the customer service is good. They never have a problem giving us extra condiments. The restaurant is always clean as are the restrooms. read more

The only time I wouldn't recommend this particular McDonald's is late at night. Often we've had a sporting event or something going on that lead us to this location late at night. They usually don't seem to have many employees so it takes a while to get your order. Sometimes the drink machine, ice cream machine etc. is not offered and the quality of the food isn't as good. The worst part is they take cash only and somehow I always forget and am never prepared with cash. However when I go morning through afternoon the food is much better and gets to you a lot quicker. The price at this McDonald's is also cheaper than other McDonald's locations which is nice. Overall if you're going to eat McDonald's this location is better than most. read more

Ok- this is weird because I'm about to review mcdonalds...BUT... The other morning I was searching for breakfast in commerce, tx. And do you know that there are only 2 options in all if commerce....mcdonalds and sonic. Since I had just driven 2 hours to get to commerce, I was NOT into sitting in my car while eating. So, I said- what the heck- I'll try Mcdonalds. I was actually pleasantly surprised! It has been a long time since I have partaken in mcdonalds and My first surprise was the decor. It was clean and kinda cool in there. There were these cool red lights and some modern fixtures and accessories. There was also a huge flat screen tv playing CNN! so I really enjoyed that. Best of all- free wi-fi! I plopped my stuff down and went to order. Next surprise- not only did they have the calorie counts there next to each item on the menu, they also had some low calorie options! So I ordered a breakfast combo that had scrambled eggs, a hash brown, a sausage patty, a biscuit and I got a coffee with it. I don't eat scrambled eggs all that often, but they tasted real to me! The sausage patty tasted like something that I probably shouldn't have eaten.....but the biscuit was REALLY good. Especially with butter on it. And the hash brown was as awesome as I remember it. I guess there is a reason why it hasn't changed since I was a kid. The coffee was very good as well. So, all in all, with the bright sunny interior, CNN on the tv, free wi-fi and a decent breakfast that didn't cost me a lot or run up the calorie count, it was a successful breakfast. I will be back! Visited this morning. The big girl at the second window handed me our food and then a drink tray with several drinks. They had soda all over the outside of the cups. I asked for napkins and she just threw them into the drink tray and walked off. I asked her to wipe them off and she then said bye then walked off. I again asked her to wipe them off and she gave more attitude so I asked for the manager. She said walked off again. When she came back I asked for the managers name. She said bye again. I then asked for the managers name AGAIN! She finally said it. Then I asked for her name Nd she refused to answer. Just said BYE! At this point I was quite upset. The 1st shift here seems good and fine. 2nd shift is decent getting the order correct @ 80% of the time. 3rd shift is absolutely horrible. You are lucky to get your order correct 20% of the time. Lady doing drive thru tonight should be moved to cooking or somewhere other than talking to people. We pulled up to the menu eventually ( they had a line ). Immediately this lady has an attitude/tone right off the bat asking us to wait and that they were cash only at night. I asked why cash only and was told because they have to reset their system once a day. FYI it is depending on their system setup etc a 5-30 minute ordeal to reboot system. But i said fine whatever i have cash no biggie. At this point I am trying to talk to my wife beside me to see what she wants. The moment I ask my wife what she wants the Employee immediately and rudely tells me to hold on. To which I replied that I was talking to my wife. I then again ask my wife what she wants. Wife informs me she wants nuggets. I said ok well they got a 20 piece, 10 piece, or i see a 6 piece with small fries for... Lady again come through the speaker much louder and much more attitude telling me to wait and that she has already asked me to wait. At this point I am getting aggaited by this lady. So I raised my voice back telling her Look I heard you the first time and I told you ok. I have told you already I am trying to talk to my wife and you keep interrupting me. This lady then starts telling me Don't you raise your voice at me. I said that she raised her voice first, she keeps interrupting me every time I try to speak to my wife and that I do not know what is going on that has her so upset but she needs to not be trying to take that out on me. At this point she responds with if I am going to cuss at her I need to leave. Obviously I am like umm wtf as I have not said any cuss words up to this point whatsoever. I finally asked for her manager. Not sure exactly what she told manager as at first manager came across rudely and was instantly trying to defend her employee until she let me speak and then found out what was going on. The manager then apologized and blamed it on a miscommunication / misunderstanding. We left and went to taco bell as at this point no way was I going to trust my food being prepared from them at that point. When someone blatantly lies saying I was cussing at them when no words that came out of my mouth were anywhere near a cuss word. If I could give this place a 0 I would. My family n I have been sitting in their drive thru for 20 mins waiting on our food. Noone has came up to the window or nothing. Everytime we flag someone down they look at us and walk away. The nite time crew here sucks majorly. When someone finally came to the window they asked us to move up n we did n we waited another 30 mins. We finally get our food n my daughter's nuggets n fries are cold . While day shift is great, I never come here at night because the ice cream machine is always mysteriously "broken", food takes 15 minutes to come out, and it's usually not the cleanest past 8 p.m. The playplace is exceptional for the kids and the actual restaurant is modern for a Mcdonald's. read more

During the great winter storm of 2022, all my friends and I wanted was a warm breakfast. What we received was worth more than the entire menu combined in terms of joy and satisfaction. We were were stuffed four people deep in the back of my friends truck as we began the trek through the icy storm. Along the journey we passed several broken trees and a couple of stuck cars. Much to our disappointment, the door was locked as we arrived, but a worker quickly came and let us in and allowed the warmth to embrace us as they allowed us to stay inside and eat. I have never eaten such a wonderfully made McDonald's meal. The care and love was flooding into the taste of every fry that I've eaten. This McDonald's is one the worst I've been to. They've all gotten really slow as of late, but this one, if you go and there are more than 4 cars in line, you will be sitting in the drive-thru for at least 20 minutes. The chicken nuggets I got last night were disgusting and some of my fries were undercooked. After I waited 30 minutes for them! Also, I have decided never to get the Filet-o-Fish at this location after lunch time ever again. Last couple of times it gave me mild food poisoning, a problem I've never had with that sandwich. I believe that they don't cook the fish regularly so if you go to this location late in the evening, you may be eating a fish fillet that was cooked at 11am but didn't sell. I've gone and gotten the sandwich at around 1pm and experienced no issues, so what does that say? This location has two lines and I went at around 11:30pm. Given that this is a college town, there tends to always be a bit of a crowd at around 11pm-midnight. I got stuck at the speaker box and sat for 10 minutes and then continued to watch as they took orders on the other line one after another. Someone came outside to officially close the lane I was in, as they do at around midnight every night and I had to flag the lady down and ask if they were still taking orders at the inside line because I'd sat there in silence for 10 minutes. She apologized and then someone promptly answered the speaker. I place my order, get to the first window, and lo and behind the same lady who went outside to close the lane was the same lady taking the orders! So she knew the inside line was still open but just wasn't servicing it? Where is the management at this place? ALSO, this location DOES NOT TAKE CARDS AFTER MIDNIGHT. They say it's because they have to reset their system between 12am and 2am every night. They finally put a sign on the speaker box, but the way this place operates, by the time you get to the box to see they only take cash, you will have already wasted 20 minutes just getting to the speaker. read more

This is one of the worst McDonald's that I have ever been to in my entire life. The management here is very poor and they show no regards to the people that come here. One night I had my girlfriend go and grab us a bite to eat. When she comes back and hands me my food I get ready to bite and she gasps. I look over and there is an ENTIRE RECEIPT (Picture Attached to Review) a receipt, ink, items and all, smack dab in the middle of the burger right under the cheese. These careless employees literally put a receipt on the burger and closed it. You had one job McDonald's employee and you failed. Nobody in their right mind should go here unless their budget just can't handle anything else. Braums and LuLu's are the better options in this town, but putting a receipt on burgers and having reckless college freshmen working here not fully doing their jobs is a disaster waiting to happen. When I go back up to the place irate about what happened, the manager sees me filming the entire ordeal and hides his face from the camera but his voice is very noticeable and identifiable. This is my favourite McDonald's. Very clean with a freindly attentive manager and staff. Many college students work there with friendly attitudes. Really fun to visit after a football game or graduation. Bring your csmera. Don't miss out on yummy burger or those great fries. A simple friendly place. She again repeated it back to me incorrect and so I was about to repeat my order once more and she cut me off and said "I got you, $5-- at the window" Absolutely horrible customer service and the staff really needs a change. Food quality is nasty, service is subpar, cooks cant read, managers look like they are deers in headlights when confronted about their lack of any product resembling edible food.
