Friday, April 14th 2026, approximately 0930. Went through the drive through to order an unsweet tea. Cashier at window 1, took my payment, then immediately walked away without giving me a receipt. I tried to get her attention, but she walked around the corner, so I tapped on the window to get her attention. When she finally returned, and I asked for my receipt, she proceed to lecture me about tapping on the glass. I asked her how I was supposed to get her attention if she was no where in sight. She told me to honk my horn and that my receipt would be available at the next window. She also failed to resolve the simple problem, but attempted to escalate the problem she created. When I got to the next window, the woman (whom I assumed was a manager) told me that she didn't have my receipt and that the whole store didn't have any receipt paper. The girl from window 1 was now at window 2 and knew she gave me the wrong information. The pale skinned woman working at the second window was also covered in hickeys (neck and chest) which gave off a very unprofessional impression. I'm not sure it is legal to operate an establishment without the ability to provide a receipt for payment. The staff needs a lot of training on customer service and business management. read more

Located just off 65 in Decatur, this McDonalds is just like the rest, and that's ok. Stand alone location, plenty of parking, in good shape and kept fairly clean for a McDonalds. Popped in a recent road trip and decided to go inside. Front counter is not regularly staffed, only by request. There are four self order screens in the lobby, which I used with no issue. There was only one other person in the lobby, and it still took close to 10 minutes to get my order which consisted of a McDouble, Fry and Sweet Tea. This time makes sense if ordering a quarter pounder, but not so much with the basics. Service/interactions are minimal with the screens. Only interaction was when they called my number. Outside of being a bit slow on service, the food was as ordered. Overall, standard McDonalds location. Happy to swing through when passing by. read more

We hit the drive through at 9 am. The kitchen and window was running efficient and we were on the road pretty quickly. The person running the window was really friendly. I ordered hash brown and McMuffin. The hash brown was a little greasy and smelled of old, teetering on the edge of burned oil. (-2stars) The McMuffin was great. read more

Nasty. Breaking all the health department rules & regulations. First, we walked in on May 17, 2025. A manager was standing right behind the counter with another employee and they were talking about someone VOMITING and having DIARRHEA. It was crude, gross, and not allowed at any restaurant we've ever worked at. We only continued to order because we were about 4 miles from a friend's house and were picking up food for them. We ordered... had to use the kiosk... While we waited; the guy (looked like another manager or someone of some authority --- his clothes didn't match everyone else's but he did have a McDonald's polo-style shirt with a nametag. This guy was building burgers while standing there with his mouth wide open as he CHEWED & SMACKED a big wad of GUM. I made a comment and the person who had been talking about diarrhea (appeared to be a manager or something just like the gum chewing guy), she said there are no regulations against chewing gum !!! The McDonalds is a mess and gets worse with each visit. I keep going out of convenience, but it's definitely off the list now. Orders have been hit or miss (sometimes plain sloppy). An employee was cussing near the front counter. One night the floors were wet (apparently being washed, but it wasn't draining so workers were walking around in puddles of dirty, soapy water). It's saving grace is that most employees are nice and doing their best with what they have. Managers are trying but I wonder if the owner knows or cares what their restaurant looks like behind the counter. read more

This McDonalds has horrible staff. Every time I come here they have terrible attitudes and act as if the customers are forcing them to work. I came inside because the drive thru was taking forever when there were maybe 5-6 people in the drive-thru, so it really shouldn't take that long. Come inside and see exactly why everything is taking so long. I have been sitting here for 30 minutes watching them do absolutely nothing. I order 2 things and it should not take 30 minutes to prepare a burger and fries, but it does when the employees are standing around socializing and on their phone instead of doing their actual jobs. read more

Can't really explain my affinity for McDonalds hotcakes. Pretty sure they're just a trio of frozen dough circles tossed into the microwave for a few moments. But I mean, I'm a simple man with simple needs. In contrast to the other reviews I've read, the wait for my cakes was nothing terrible. There were a lot of patrons making moves that morning, both in-house and in the drive-thru so I mean, slight delays were just going to happen. I made brief small talk with a patron regarding my Seattle SuperSonics hoodie (he was a Shawn Kemp fan many moons ago) and a moment later, my order was up. I'm not going to front like my cakes were expertly crafted or anything. But respect for offering up butter that isn't already melted. I want to be able to see those golden arches staring back at me when I fork my butter chunk onto the top cake. Pro-tip: chop a piece of that butter and stash it randomly between your three cakes for a mid-meal surprise of tasty goodness (sort of like a New Orleans king cake baby but without the risk of accidentally eating a baby). Bonus points: The butter provided was in adequate proportion to the syrup. I've noticed that McDonalds sometimes has this habit of providing something like two to three vats of syrup for three hotcakes while offering up just one butter. That's enough syrup to caramelize a kitten, let alone accentuate the taste of morning flapjacks. This McDonalds... this McDonalds was on its game. read more

Food was good and fast. However, the lights were out in both the main restrooms so we were directed to the family restroom in the playground area. It was a complete disaster. There was at least toilet paper but the water pressure (both hot and cold) were almost non-existent. So I've said this before about McDonalds. For me giving a three star isn't a bad review at all. After a horrible experience at Hardee's across the street I came here. Really clean looking from the outside I pulled up to the drive through. Huge bonus, they actually responded and asked me what I wanted to order. Getting a Large Sweet Tea and a Sausage Biscuit I proceeded to window 1 to pay. The girl could have been friendly, basically took money and motioned me forward. Kind of expected thee same as I was given my food, but this person was actually really pleasant greeting me at the window and wishing a nice day as I drove away. Sweet Tea was typical for McDonalds, and not bad. Sausage Biscuit was warm. Biscuit itself was kind of crispy, kind of over-cooked. Sausage wasn't too bad. Overall, for McDonalds they aren't bad. Given the choice of here are the Hardee's across the street there is really no comparison.....I would return here 100 out of 100 times. read more

Why do you stop in to McDonald's? Why do you choose it over another other burger joint? For me, it's because I need to grab some thorn quickly, I don't want to spend much, and I want consistent quality. What do I mean by quality? I'm not saying it's good, I'm just saying I know what I'm going to get, I know what they have, and I know it's going to be reasonably clean and about the same as every other McDonald's. So, based on that, you can imagine how disappointing this experience was in order for me to give a McDonald's a one star rating. There was a line for the drive through so I went in. It wasn't the cleanest I've seen but not bad. It was 1:15 so I just figured they hadn't cleaned up from the lunch rush. There was only one person ahead of me in line. Tons of employees. I placed my order. Cheeseburger and small fry with a drink. I paid and was given a cup. Here's where it went downhill. First, the soda fountain had paper taped over the Diet Coke heads with out of order written on them. So I went back to the counter to see if they could fill me up from the drive through dispensers. It took a little while to get anyone's attention (remember, this place was packed with employees at the time) but I finally was able to ask someone and was told that they were completely out of Diet Coke. How does that happen? And shouldn't they have a sign on the door or at least tell you when you order? I took the high road, ok, no problem (seething inside) and waited for my order which actually should have been out by now. And I waited. And waited. The crowd built as other people placed their orders. The only people that seemed to be getting food were at the drive through. According to the time on my receipt it took almost 15 minutes for them to give me a cheeseburger and my fries. So I went out to my car and drove away thinking well, at least I should have fresh food. Nope. The burger patty was actually burned. I don't think I've ever had a burned patty at a McDonald's before. And there are we enough ketchup on this thing for 4 hamburgers. It was drowning in ketchup. And nasty. The fries were room temperature. It was pretty gross. Do yourself a favor and avoid this McDonalds. This exit has a Krystal (if your not from the South, try it, they're great), a Wendy's, Subway, and a Dairy Queen. Try anything but the McDonald's. read more

My husband and I stopped at this McDs during a long trip. It was near closing and it was obvious that staff members were working on end of shift chores. Often at this hour, the food is dry from sitting too long. But, everything tasted fresh and service was also good. The biggie though, is that I found that this is a group of honest people! After I got home several hours later (near Nashville), I realized that I didn't have my purse! I had left it at the McDonald's! I could picture where I had hung it on a chair at our table. That was terrifying! The store was closed and we couldn't get hold of anyone at that time. After a sleepless night, I called at 5:00 a.m. They had my purse in their safe! I drove immediately back to Alabama and a very nice woman in management gave me my purse (after I gave her identifying info). Everything was still in there! Nothing was missing... money, credit cards, etc.! I wish that I had gotten the names of people involved so I could personally give them a huge thank you! Went through the drive thru this morning. One or two cars ahead of me. They gave me my coffee and asked me to pull up and wait for my one breakfast sandwich. After sitting there for a minute or so I set a five minute timer on my phone. My coffee was scorched. After more than 5 minutes I couldn't wait any longer. I drove off without my food. Tried to do this on the McDonald's Corp site. Clicked submit, it never would take it. This location has gotten to the point that if you don't have 10 to 15 minutes. Don't bother stopping. read more

Check your bag of food before you leave. It will be wrong. One time went thru drive-thru and ordered 2 plain, no-salt hamburgers. Didn't check bag but it felt light-weight. When I got home, I had 1 burger with everything on it. How can you not be able to count to 2? Another time I went inside to order. This time I ordered double cheeseburger with mustard only and 1 plain burger with no-salt french fries. Saw special order tickets on my food when I checked bag after receiving it. Arrived home, put food on plate, whole order was wrong. Both burgers had everything on them the way they always prepare them. They do not bother looking at tickets, just shove whatever is already made into bag after sticking special order tickets on top of wrapper. Can't complain to manager. Will be told to bring food back and they will correct it. Should get it right the first time. They don't really care. Just a job until they graduate high school. Repeat. Stopped in this morning to get breakfast around 9:30am. Went inside to place my order and dined in. I counted 18 employees inside and this has to be one of the SLOWEST and unorganized staff I have ever seen at a McDonald's establishment. While waiting on my order to be taken, three separate drive-thru customers came inside with the wrong orders. The senior citizen couple in line ahead of me had their order wrong and were charged for items they did not order. I got what I ordered (biscuit with sausage gravy and sweet tea) but had to wait an additional 5 minutes to receive a plastic fork and knife to eat it with. And, of course, I had to ask for the utensils. Most of the employees seemed bothered they were even asked anything by the patrons inside. This staff needs additional training and a shift manager who can provide direction and motivation towards customer satisfaction and service besides "Can I take someone's order?". How about "Hello. Welcome to McDonald's. How may I help YOU today?" read more
