The girl who took our order was incredibly friendly, and the service was quick from the moment we walked in. I ordered Dad's Egg Sandwich, and Mom got the Vegetable Frittata. The bacon on my sandwich was the standout--nice, thick, and perfectly cooked. My only complaint is that the menu mentioned garlic, but I honestly couldn't taste any. If you're going to promise garlic, I want to taste garlic! Mom really enjoyed her frittata, although I think she's getting a little tired of egg dishes lately. She especially loved the toast and whatever butter they served with it. It almost tasted like maple butter, and it was delicious. The fresh fruit was also excellent (I happily finished Mom's!). My only real complaint is the size of the restaurant. It's a cozy space, but I can see it getting crowded very quickly during the breakfast rush. Overall, everything was wonderful. Friendly staff, fast service, and a delicious breakfast. We'll definitely be back!

As a few others have stated, although the space inside is quite large, parking is pretty limited. There's a little more room in the back, though the lot isn't as even back there. Parking aside, it's a beautiful inside space, super clean and modern with lots of design details that pay homage to Middle Eastern culture. I met two friends visiting from out of town here and we had plenty of room to relax and didn't feel like we were hogging the space despite our long visit since there was always room for other guests to find a spot to sit. The menu is fairly large and they also offer a great deal of both savory and sweet pastries. The service was friendly and eager to help or answer questions. The cashier/barista was unable to answer some of our questions about the contents of some of the drinks due to her not being Yemeni, but she was quick to ask the owners who were available and happy to assist. I wanted to get their semi-viral pistachio latte, which looked gorgeous, but unfortunately they had run out of the pistachio syrup. I guess that happens when you go viral in Huntsville, hah. Oh well, a good reason to return soon. I was also wanting a pastry but for the most part their more Middle Eastern inspired goods had sold out and they were left with cheesecakes. Nothing wrong with that - they were all gorgeous slices - but again, I'll just have to come back soon to snag the goods. I wound up ordering a latte with dark chocolate. My pals got two different special Yemeni teas; I missed the names. One pal is severely lactose intolerant and asked for her drink to be made with oat milk instead of cow's milk and was informed it was no longer authentic that way, which...I mean, sure! She admired the commitment to authenticity, lol. Both pals enjoyed their drinks and remarked on the strength and depth of flavor in the tea. They were also wowed by the beauty of the space. We enjoyed almost two hours of uninterrupted time together and we felt welcome and right at home. My latte with dark chocolate was rich, complex, and pleasantly but not overwhelmingly sweet. Maybe a teeeeeeny bit heavy on the milk, but I'm nit-picking here mostly. Solid drink! Once they get the opening jitters down I have no doubt this place will be a gem. I'm super excited to return and try some of the products I couldn't get on my first try, and to enjoy the beautiful environment and friendly service once again!

Getting new tires in Athens the other week, I (sadly) noticed an obituary on their bulletin board for Cheryl Prince Sendowski who owned the coffee shoppe from 1998 until it was sold in 2013. This was one spot my Birthday Club group met at in the late 80s and early 90s. We enjoyed their simplistic sandwiches and iced teas. I'm not a coffee snob by any stretch, and their coffee doesn't evoke great memories for me; however, I do recall it being "fair trade," even back then. The sandwiches were good, the place was nice to relax in, and the back patio was even more eclectic with various statuary and just "stuff" hanging from the fence. Sandwiches were nothing you can't make at home, but they were good, edible, quick and filling! The community bulletin board was always clustered with fliers and business cards for music lessons, missing pets, and pressure washers. It's a local's place for locals and had one regular, Mike Maples who was conferred with the title "Mayor" of Ole Town Coffee. The gazebo out front is quaint to sit in. Do know parking is tight. There aren't many spaces out front to park. I think the back alley may have some spots. For a slice of Huntsville, I would recommend visiting OTC!

They have cute merchandise and even dedicated items and areas to keep little ones entertained. There's seating indoors and a couple of patio tables and chairs outside too. Service was pleasant enough. We didn't chat much but I was greeted and smiled at and my beverage was ready in a timely manner, so that's all you really need. The menu has coffee classics and then a few seasonal specials. There's matcha too, at least currently. There are supposed to be some baked goods for snackage, but when I visited at about 10:30 on Monday, they only had a few cookies and a brownie. I was hoping for something more in the realm of banana bread or a muffin, but they were wiped out. Maybe Monday is a restock day. They're only open til 2 PM, so definitely a morning/early afternoon hangout only. I got an iced salted caramel latte to go, and I enjoyed it well enough. To me, I really didn't taste any salted caramel, but it was a good iced latte: rich, smooth, almost buttery, and not too bitter. Not as sweet as I'd like but that's often the case with what I consider more "serious" coffee places like this one. If you enjoy coffee, I think you'll like this coffee. This was today and maybe staff wasn't having a good day but service was extremely poor. The lady in front of us asked for something and they didn't have it which she seemed ok with but the staff seemed annoyed she even asked lol. We gave the benefit of the doubt thinking maybe the staff had been asked for the same item multiple times or something but when it was our turn they seemed so annoyed and like they couldn't be bothered at all. The inside of the place is beautiful though and the little booths seemed cozy. Maybe it was just one of those days and we got unlucky but I wouldn't make the trip again.
