I'm diabetic. I asked for a diet soda. They didn't give me a diet soda. I almost went into a coma.

Had a nice visit catching up with my dear friend today. Lattes and frappes and fa-la-la-la-la all around. Good times, will be back.

They recently have reworked the inside some and have a new candy station that is full of all kinds of seasonal goodies. When I worked down the street, I would often come for their cold brew coffee, fir an afternoon pick me up. They also serve some pretty amazing breakfast and lunch sandwiches on New York bagels. Weekend hours are longer over the summer and early fall staying open until 10pm but as they hit October the hours shift to close by 9 o'clock on the weekends. They have cute ice cream cone seating tables as well as an old time soda bar. Definitely our families go-to ice cream splurge. I love that it's on Main Street with all the cute boutiques, shopping and local events.

Even when we stop by other coffee shops in STL or Saint Charles, Corner Cup is still our favorite. My go-to is an iced pistachio latte with honey drizzle (the first time I came here they had a seasonal Baklava Latte and it was sooo good) and my husband gets an iced hazelnut latte. I've also tried their iced chai and it is delicious--not too sweet and just the right amount of spices. My favorite, savory baked food is their spinach and feta danish. I highly recommend getting one with your coffee for a light breakfast. The baristas are so kind and welcoming, and they always remember my name because I go there so much haha. The shop itself is very cute, and their furniture is quaint and unique, and they always have fun, coffee-related knick-knacks for sale. Must-try spot in Festus! Also, you can order large, to-go drinks which I did on a Saturday because they're closed Sunday and Monday.

I grabbed a strong cup of coffee that could revive the dead and a savory spinach and feta pastry of course. We love savory things. I'm alive again! Their coffee of the week was White Chocolate Irish Cream, and I could not resist that! It came out hot, but not so hot that I could not drink it, and it was just the right sweetness. Their "little somethings" were a variety of muffins, scones, and cinnamon rolls. Maybe something else, but I stopped his recitation over the phone after he said "cinnamon rolls". Another winner, but next time I will take up their offer of heating it up. At the time I wasn't sure I was going to eat it right away, but I do love some drippy icing! They are still take-out only, and you can either call in your order, which I did, or you can appear outside their door and they will come out to take your order. I was very happy that the young lady who came out with my goodies was wearing a mask! Service was quick, and what I had was good, so give them a try if you're in the area!

When you enter, it's very small but very well put together décor wise. Each area had signs that discouraged movement of their furniture and had its own kind of theme. I was meeting up with a friend and her daughter and unfortunately did not realize they had the typical café hours (closed at 2pm) so my visit was very quick (30 minutes) and I had to rush my conversation. I ordered an iced Monstera Mint latte and chocolate coffee cake slice. When the barista called up my order, I repeated my order asking if it's mine (they don't use a name system) and apparently *I* mispronounced MONSTERA because she turned her back and said within earshot to her coworker how I did not pronounce it correctly and why do people say it incorrectly. I am not a big plant person so excuse me for not knowing how every single plant name is pronounced. I know people vent at work, but it made me feel uncomfortable the rest of my visit, so I was glad it was almost time to leave before they closed. Vent after customers leave if you have to.... Anyways, my MONSTER-AH mint latte was good, but the chocolate coffee cake was a bit too dry for me. And service could have been a bit more professional in my opinion.
