So to clarify, if you like a smash burger done on a flat grill, while you sit at the "bar" and watch the magic, and love fresh hot shoestring fries, and a soda with a consistently accurate post-mix, the you really need to try Gordon's. Make sure you have cash or use their helpful ATM. Service is fast and friendly, atmosphere is the true diner experience and never is heard a discouraging word. They no longer have the counter in the back to order and its more table service with a cash register and order station more for to-go and ice cream. Lilly was our server and she was really sweet and checked in on us regularly. Refilled the tea glasses often and helped answer questions. We were able to do individual checks by couple so we could use our passports. Each couple ordered an appetizer; we went with the provel bites. They were smaller than they appeared in the pictures I saw but there were quite a few in the order. They were a table favorite! Buffalo boneless chicken wings were also very good, as was the ranch that came with them. The onion rings were HUGE! They were decent, I like skinny ones so they were just not my type. I ordered the house salad with no cheese, it came out correct and had mixed greens, onion, tomato, cucumbers, and croutons. I ordered the small and it was still a good size. My pizza choice was Margarita, it is becoming a habit! This one was good, puffy, chewy crust and a good amount of toppings to compliment, I dipped the crust in ranch - only if the ranch is good! The menu has quite a bit to choose from and unfortunately I feel like the prices have gone up and the quantity doesn't match what you are paying for. I ordered the fried shrimp. I asked for fries instead of the rice & beans. For $17.50 I'm expecting 8-10 shrimp...I got 5. They gave me the rice & beans and when they brought out the missing fries, they were stone cold. I was informed that since I didn't get the fries originally there, would be no substitution charge and that the rice & beans were on the house. My husband ordered the jambalaya entree that came with cornbread and a salad. Cornbread was a sliver but it appears he had the best meal of the night. Our friends ordered the chicken sandwich and it came with stone cold fries. The other ordered a burger that came without the cheese he requested (then was charged for asking for it) and stone cold fries. All fries were discarded and fresh ones brought out after awhile. 1 out of the 4 meals ordered was the only thing that turned out right. I kinda expected an apology or something for all the issues with our meals but nothing. The company we had was great. The dining experience was a let down.
