Highway road stop. Got here just after breakfast ended. Bummer. Went in to grab coffee and use the restroom. An employee was just leaving the ladies after cleaning it. The men's was recently cleaned. Good sign at 11 am. Newer styled Mcd's with self service kiosks and one counter manned. Not usually the case in these stores with kiosks. The dining room was mostly full. On this morning, groups of people sharing smiles and weekend news. Seeing so many customers, decided to pit stop for a quick meal. Food was McDonald's perfect and the fries surprisingly good. These days I do not care much for them, but these, they were the right form and warmth. With highway exits, best to expect the worst especially since the pandemic. This was good. read more

We had a really bad experience here. It took us about 15 minutes for our order to be taken. Beyond that it took roughly another 15 minutes to get our food. They forgot an entire meal in our order. When they brought it out to us, the meal was made incorrectly. The fries were cold and stale. The salt packets that were self-serve were wet, so the salt was coming out chunky. read more

I've never felt so unwelcome at a fast food restaurant in my life. My friends and I walked into McDonald's just to sit down and chill for a bit, one of us happened to be holding a small item from Arby's -- not a full meal, not a bag of food, just a single curly fry. Apparently, that was enough to commit a crime against the Golden Arches. A worker immediately told us we had to leave, like we were some kind of fast food fugitives. You'd think we walked in with a Chick-fil-A cow and a megaphone yelling "Eat More Beef." The way the staff handled it was just plain rude. No friendly conversation, no chill explanation -- just straight to the boot. We weren't disruptive, we weren't making a mess, we weren't even sitting near other people. But instead of welcoming paying customers, they chose to kick us out for daring to stray from the sacred McNugget path. The irony? Half their tables were empty, and the place smelled like burnt fries and disappointment. Honestly, I expected more from a place whose mascot is a clown. If you're looking for kindness, respect, or even just a neutral place to sit, go literally anywhere else. Stopped by a few days back and the service was a bit slower than usual and the breakfast a bit dry :(. I LOVE me some McDonald's and it always satisfies. I just just a bit bummed that during a slower time when I was the only one in line it took quite some time for the food and it clearly had been sitting on the warmer a bit too long. As a self proclaimed McDonald's professional eater I am well versed in judging the quality of Ronald's product. Dewitt kills it every night, son! I regularly eat two bacon mcdoubles, you know like a regular human being would nightly. The night crew kills it, shout out to them all! Word on the street is there's an underground war going on between the Saint Johns McDonalds and the Dewitt one. How do I know this? Well let me tell you about the time I was kidnapped by the hamburglar and grimace! I could deal with the hamburglar, but grimace? That purple SOB had me in a headlock and went for the finish. But suddenly out of nowhere, in comes who else but Mayor McCheese! Did I mention he was carrying twin glocks and took no bleep from anyone? Anyways, the two bacon mcdoubles were a delicious little treat that we got not only fresh but tasty too. All I order are chocolate chip cookies and this is the second time I've waited 20 minutes for them. However, when I walked in asking how much longer they had forgotten about my order. Not that any Mcdonalds is that great but this one goes above and beyond to make your experience miserable. Last time my husband and I stopped it was late, and they were the only place open in the area. I wanted a chicken sandwhich, to which we received the reply, 'we're not making those anymore tonight'. Okay...how about the chicken wrap? 'Nope. Not those either. Or the nuggets.' Seriously. If you're going to be open 24hrs at least keep one chicken option open. So, yesterday, we decide to try them again even though I begged not to go there. My husband asked for a crispy chicken wrap meal. No problem. They hand us the drink and two seconds later say we would need to pull forward because they only had grilled chicken and it would be 12 mins! Pretty sure fryers are quicker than that right? Are people just sleeping in there waiting for customers?? So we say no thanks and ask for a refund in which she replied, 'we cant' refund the drink because you already drank from it'. Where to begin, food is made very sloppy, they can't even get the meat cheese and bun on a fish sandwich aligned, it's all over and when you get it the cheese had melted so you can not fix it, for some reason no one can completely fill a fry container it's always way short of product. Drive through orders are generally wrong and I hate having to pull ahead and wait because they don't have my order ready. Staff at times is very unprofessional and had no motivation. Place is normally clean but I highly suggest using a different location and not to use one in DeWitt. read more

They promote a new 30 second guarantee in the drive thru. What do you get when it's more than 30 seconds? I'll tell you. You get to pull aside, wait over 5 minutes and when the food finally comes its missing an item. So 30 second guarantee means you pay more for less food and get to wait 5 minutes. RIP OFF stop promoting something EVERYONE knows you can't fulfill. read more

Went here one day after work. Sat in the first drive thru lane for 10 minutes and either the speaker wasnt working or no one was taking orders. I then proceeded to go to the first window where a very rude employee tells me I either need to go back in line or go in to the lobby where lines have accumulated. I stopped on my lunch hour to buy an Angus burger with just ketchup. After giving up my money and being asked to pull forward to wait while they made up this "special" order, I waited for 5 to 7 minutes while other cars zipped right through. I'd just unbuckled my seatbelt to go in and say "Never mind - Give me my money back and I'll go somewhere else" when they came out with my bag which seemed a bit heavy. Since so much of my lunch hour had been eaten up by waiting in line, then waiting for them to take and confirm my order, then waiting for the cashier, then waiting even longer for them to bring my order, I didn't check the bag. I got back to my office and found out I'd gotten someone else's special order of 5 special burgers with all sorts of slop on them, some kind of wrap, and three small fries. No Angus burger with ketchup. This McDonalds is truly hit-and-miss. It seems that if you go before or after lunch hour, there doesn't seem to be a problem. Get more than three or four people in the drive-through and you can probably expect some kind of screw up with your order. Moral of the story: bring a stopwatch with you. If you are told that they need a minute to make up a special order of "hamburger with ketchup", wait 2 minutes before going in to demand your money back. Learn from my bad experience that waiting any longer than 2 minutes gives them time to REALLY screw up your order. You'd be better off with that money in your pocket to spend somewhere else that won't waste your time and your money. read more

These guys literally can't get the simplest of tasks right. Not because they're not smart, rather, talking and joking with their coworkers is first on their priority. They seem to have the hardest time with kids meals. Usually forgetting sauces, or exchanging the sauces with a different kind closer to them, forgetting the toys etc. Today they forgot the fries for both kid meals even after I asked if they were in there. I come back to get them and they act as though I'm lying about it. Take forever to give me the fries so I left and got them Arby's fries. How do you screw up coffee? Ordered an iced caramel coffee and a white chocolate latte. Both large. Had to pull ahead. Great, that means the coffee must be fresh? Nope. Received an iced mocha with chocolate syrup. Not caramel at all, and the white chocolate latte was missing the white chocolate. Paid almost $4 for a coffee with whipped cream on top.
