According to the menu, the diner is a "One-Master Model 15-Stool Valentine steel building," made by Valentine Manufacturing Company of Wichita, Kansas, in 1955. They have a small parking lot in back of the diner. I parked there and then saw a bathroom entrance sign -- after a 2 1/2-hour trip, nature was calling. It is a very clean bathroom located at the rear of the building, with a separate entrance from the parking lot. There is no access to the restroom from inside the diner -- a unique and nostalgic feature you don't see much anymore. I walked around to the front of the building, entered, sat down on a stool, and was greeted with, "Y'all having a good day so far?" I had a half sweet/half unsweet tea and the Cheeseburger Deluxe with no mayonnaise. It came with lettuce, tomato, pickle chips, onions, French fries, and cole slaw. I put ketchup on the fries, but the fresh tomato alone provided plenty of flavor for the juicy, delicious burger. The French fries were crispy and delicious -- exactly what you hope for at a classic diner. The cole slaw was outstanding and clearly tasted homemade. The pies looked incredible, and because the cheeseburger platter was so good, I had a piece of blueberry buttermilk cake topped with whipped cream -- wow! There is also a clearly posted 3% surcharge if paying with a credit card. Prices are reasonable, so it didn't feel like an issue. This was a great overall experience, and I would recommend this classic, nostalgic mid-20th-century diner to anyone traveling through Farmville. It closes at 2 pm, so plan accordingly!

Avoid this McDonalds at all costs. We have a growing family of 5 kids and more on the way. There is always an assortment of drug addicts and scary people hanging out in the dining area by the bathrooms. Our family is subjected to all sorts of loud and foul language right in the dining room. Plus these people are always smoking right outside the exit door (which I thought was illegal). The manager of this location appears to be oblivious to all this. The final straw was when they recently started charging for the very small water cups. We have been in this location several times prior to this and they know we only allow out kids to have water. We aren't trying to cheat them by getting free soda in those cups as we don't want our kids to have soda. Despite explaining this to the manager, they refused to budge. Our solution was to pay for one large soda and fill it up with water and have the kids pass it around. Pretty sad you have to go through such actions merely to have your kids drink water. I guess the owner, Fred Russell, doesn't care about any of the above since he has a monopoly in the Farmville area with regard to McDonalds and is making millions off this franchise location. It's pretty sad when people make so much money they forgot about basic human decency and don't care if families choose not to dine at their restaurant anymore. Well Mr. Russell, there are other fast food dining options in Farmville and until the above problems aren't resolved we won't be supporting your business anymore. Your bottom line won't be affect by our absence, so I don't expect you to do anything. Maybe one day your conscience will bother you enough to clean up your act in Farmville and make your McDonalds more family friendly. read more

Customer Service is TERRIBLE!! I ordered a quarter pounder meal and had to wait 45 minutes and it was only three PEOPLE inside the whole damn restaurant!! Then I asked what is the holdup and the Little girl rolls her eyes and doesn't even respond. Then she leaves her post to talk to her boyfriend outside(WTF). The guy that was supposed to be making my food said(loud enough for customers to hear) "I have to s@#$t". This ghetto ass Mcdonald's need to be shut down FR. The only person with respect for customers was the only white guy working that night. I am black myself and I am soooo disgusted right now. #ShuTitDown read more

Overall it's an OK McDonald's. The service has improved dramatically in the last 6 months, but the sweet tea is still the most Go-awfullest stuff on the planet. I've even spoken to the owner when he was in one day. Nuttin'. They still have me hooked on those darn Mocha coffees. Just the thing to kick start me in the morning. read more
