It's honestly amazing that people are rating this place five stars. There is a fat, gross, obtuse looking manager/supervisor that has been there far too long. She has answered my phone calls, she has met me face to face, and every time she speaks to me, she takes some of her miserable existence and she tries to spread it out to me. I had a doordash go terribly wrong. Every single doordash goes wrong, but this one in particular, we had spent over 30 dollars and everything was wrong. I called in because I was so upset. I asked her to just empathize with me. She remained steadfast and told me some jargon, in a very demeaning way. I then said "Listen, I'm not trying to get free food or anything, I just want you to apologize for what I went through" and she refused. She hung up on me. This level of service has carried on throughout the years. I've driven up to the window to find no one there and a "Sorry, come back later, we're cleaning" only to find out that one kid was the only person there and everyone else abandoned him. I've asked to buy 5 hot mustards at the window to be told "we're not going to sell that to you" and I had to argue with her that I would pay. I just want to end this with I don't think it's any one person, but I think it's the collection of people working there. If you're not like this troll, stand up and say something and fix the issue. The food its self is also a problem. They are doing something to the fries. They are never fresh, even right after being pulled out of the frier. They taste terrible and the oil coats your tongue. The service here was absolutely amazing and the fact that it didn't take them 30 minutes to get us situated (unlike Quincy Illinois ). I believe that the employees, essentially the one with red hair at the second window, deserves a raise. Food is hot fresh and they got our order within less than 5 minutes as we were pulled forward to the third window. read more

I went through the drive thru Fri 12/20. Upon taking a bite of my cheeseburger I found the longest black hair wrapped around my bun, extending into the burger, causing me to vomit with the thought of someones nasty hair in my food. GROSS! Giving you all the benefit of doubt I hung on to the hair b/c I was on my way to hairdressers. My hairdresser says it is definitely not mine. I'm very disgusted, grossed out, perturbed, etc. !!! Has got to be one of the worst McDonald's for customer service I have been in. Complete lack of urgency. Patrons coming in with wrong orders from drive thru or returning from the dining area because something was wrong with basically no acknowledgement that they are even there. Waited a good 10 minutes for our order. Did not hand out drink cups until the rest of the food was done even though I tried to flag down the associate to get them (usually had back turned to the counter). Ended up with a chocolate shake instead of vanilla, which then took 5 minutes to exchange. Will choose someplace else next time I'm in Fort Madison. read more

My orders are NEVER right. No matter how simple it is. The people are very slow. There's ALWAYS a wait for your food. Which more often than not cold which makes me believe it just sits. I'm diabetic the drive through and lobby says is open 24/7 we came here to get me soda so my blood sugar wouldn't drop because I was feeling low we didn't want to call an ambulance to cause a distress and ended up having to call a sister with l glucagon shot as an emergency which made her drive more than 16 miles to get me with just a written Sign saying lobby is closed which is always great putting my actual life in danger when they're open 24/7 would not recommend read more

My grandchildren and I like McDonald's foods however at this restaurant they are pretty slow on completing your order.
