I cannot help but feel a bit nostalgic when I walk through the doors of this Mickey D's. I spent many days and nights bringing my children here when they were growing up. It's funny how a fast food restaurant can bring back so many good memories. Lately, I always use the drive thru and have not ventured inside the actual restaurant, until today. The recent renovation has it looking ultra modern. It's as clean as I remember it. This location has always provided excellent customer service and has always gotten our orders accurate. Although a lot has changed, in regard to prices...I still come here when a craving hits. Only this time, I stick with the special priced value meals! McDonalds has gotten away from friendly customer service. They are only about the money now. The food is too expensive. And the menu board is misleading. The board says, "$1, $2,$ 3 menu. But the items are not $1,2,or $3. Look at the picture below. And the other picture is of a smoothie how they handed it to me. I asked the employee to fill it more, and I was told "That is how the machine fills it up." No, thank you. I will skip McDonalds for a while. The other Yelper wasn't lying when they said this is the best McDonalds!!!! Ever since they got their remodel I have always had fresh food the orders are always correct.The staff is mostly a young staff that are efficient and quick.The inside is really nice especially now that they have self service kiosks which makes ordering easier. BEST MCDONALDS IN THE WORLD. I'm not kidding either. The staff has NEVER gotten my order wrong no matter how ridiculous and specific I am. I always go for a late night snack when I'm high. I usually get a McGriddle with just egg, two hash browns, and a half sweet/unsweet iced tea. Even when my boyfriend needed the sonic toys, they were able to give me the specific ones I asked for. They are always pleasant even though they're usually dealing with a line at 12 or 1 am. The food is always hot and fresh. I know it may seem odd that I'm complimenting a McDonald's so much, but it really does help the staff to see positive reviews. People are quick to leave negative ones and I don't feel that's fair considering how amazing the service is. It's MCDONALDS. I'm not going expecting the meal to be gourmet. I absolutely love it here. Good fights, angry workers and good flipping food. But when I'm yelled "no" when trying to order I was caught off guard. I just wanted my caffeine and over greasy food, is that too much to ask for!! I know the worker who said that, but what if it wasn't someone I knew?! What if I was denied service before I could even order?! With that being said, this place holds true to my heart as I've been coming here for years now. literally hated it here. My friend ordered from here and the worker put her finger in my friends face with a whole lotta disrespect. I told the worker she better get her attitude together cause my friend didn't do anything to her and she told me she was making my food and to get away from the counter. I asked for a manager and the manager came out and tried to get in me and my sisters face , let alone the fact that my friends sandwhich was bitten into visually. IMO, McDonald's is supposed to be reliable for 3 things: Quick Service, A good cup of coffee (with apple Pie) and clean bathrooms. I don't eat their regular food. That being said, I visited this location twice this week . At approx 8am there was 1 counter person , who was also responsible for making coffee drinks, and there was a line to the door. A 10 minute wait at McDonald's is not acceptable. Oh, and the apple pie was burnt. The next morning at 6:30am there was No one at the counter. No one acknowledged my entry, All workers with their backs to the counter. After about two minutes someone actually turned around and took my order. A good cup of coffee and an over cooked apple pie. Take my advice , stay away from this location. McDonald's corporate ought to investigate this embarrassment of a location. read more

Only McDonald's worse than this is in Roosevelt. Service is trash, they only take cash at random times and when you can actually place an order 50% of the time they make you wait by their side door so they can pretend to have prompt service. I'll start by saying that I stopped eating McDonald's food a few years ago. However, there should be no harm in running in for a hot coffee, and iced coffee, or even a soda... SHOULD. This location has become a hub for local homeless AND drug addicts alike, asleep across the booth seats with their shoes off, nodding off while sitting up at the tables... Disheveled people begging you for money while you are in line. Just really unacceptable. The bathrooms have also become gross. I hope the local kids are not still hanging out here because I'd be pretty concerned for them. Not planning on coming back here ever again. I went to the McDonald's on Merrick Road in Freeport, NY, two weeks ago. They had drive-thru window open as well as order to go available at the counter. While I was there they would not permit me to use the restroom. The employees claimed both restrooms were out of order! I went back a week later just to see if they were telling the truth. Apparently still out of order, my assumption was correct: they were being dishonest. If you're open for business then your rest rooms should be too! Shame to the Freeport Management for closing restrooms, your employees are dishonest. Worse manager ever . I walked in and order at 3:14 am . After a 15 minutes wait for an an order of four mac chickens i decided to get a refund because i was running late to work come on 15 + minutes ?? They either run out of soda (especially the Coke and Dr. Pepper, they never ever order enough!) Or they go cheap with the syrup. The kids from the local schools are there between 2 and 4. It's crazy! Since i live 2 blocks away from store, we have been going there about once a week for 10 years. so its about 500 times.Of which Atleast a 100 times, we have food missing and when i get back to the counter, they always ask for a receipt like i am lying about missing food. And yes its true that they forget to salt the fries. The fries taste like the oil hasnt been changed in a month. Never written one of these before but I was treated with such disrespect here. I work in the service industry and this staff needs a RUDE awakening on how to treat not only customers, but also human beings. The nighttime staff was completely disrespectful and when we tried to politely tell them our order was wrong they yelled at us telling us we were wrong.
