Fast Food is not fast anymore, but at least it is hot and fresh when you get it. I stopped by for a quick and light lunch and it was chaotic. I'll admit, it was 12:30 PM, but with drive-thru, app orders and those of us ordering inside at the counter, it was crazy. The staff was hustling and doing the best they could. My order was simple, a Double Cheeseburger, Small Fry and Small Soda. When my order number was called out by a manager, he did apologize for the extended wait. I live just about a mile from the restaurant and when I got home to enjoy my meal, it was still warm and hit the spot perfectly. I had an appointment in the area and decided to stop into the Godfrey McDonald's for a quick lunch. It was non on a really nice Tuesday. The drive thru line was almost out to the street. I went inside and immediately noticed the interior was not clean. Trash n the floor, trash at the drink station, and a general smell of trash. There were only a few customers inside. I went to a kiosk to place my order. The kiosk was not accepting payment and I had to go to the counter. I ordered a bacon Quarter Pounder Meal-large with a half tea/lemonade to drink. The young lady behind the counter took my payment and made my drink. It was a lemonade with a splash of tea. I found a table and about 5 minutes later, an employee brought my meal. The fries were cold and had the flavor that tells me it's time to change the oil in the fryer. The burger was fine. I worked for McDonald's a million years ago and then, their standard was QSC(Quality, Service, Cleanliness . Today, their score is a D for all three aspects. read more

made a mobile order 15 minutes before I came to the location. go threw the drive-thru and get told to pull forward to spot one. Waited about 10 minutes to get our food. After watching about 10 cars get their food immediately from the window. What's the point of doing a mobile order if you have to wait twice as long to get our food. Plus messing up my order and having to go back in to get it fixed. read more

I ordered thru the mobile app and decided to have it delivered to my car. The order went thru without issue, and I pulled into the parking lot and the designated spot for pickup. I noted there was another car waiting when I pulled in. The drive thru was very busy, so I felt my decision was the best one. I waited nearly 10 minutes and neither I nor the other car were served. The drive thru continued to be busy. I also saw several cars were pulled up into waiting areas. Another 5 minutes rolled around and I noted the other cars that were asked to pull up were gone. Furthermore, the drive thru was slowing down, and both of us in the delivery pickup were still without food. Finally, at 20 minutes, the other car was serviced. I heard the young lady apologize, and say they were swamped. At this point, I was ready to go into the restaurant. I decided to give a few more minutes, expecting my order. By thos time the drive thru had cleared out. Soon enough our food was delivered. It was fresh and the fries were hot. The crew member was duly apologetic, using the same reason given the other customer ("We were swamped"). I will be hard pressed to do this again at this location. I have used it at the Bethalto store, and was promptly serviced. I considered calling management concerning my experience, but assumed that if manager was on duty, this behavior was approved. read more

I have about had my fill of the idiots and assholes that they employ at this McDonald's. They can never get an order correct! I go through the drive-through to get two plain hamburgers and when I get home I've got mustard onions and other BS on them! I have to drive back to the McDonald's, no one wants to make eye contact they finally hand me two plain hamburgers with a "sorry"! my fiancé wanted to get our family some mcdonald's breakfast, he went right at opening. he waited in drive thru for roughly 20 mins before someone told him over headset that their cook didnt show up. i understand being short staffed but at least let us know when there's a problem instead of us just sitting there waiting. never going back to this location. read more

Rude drive-thru. Didn't get the order correct. Seemed really put out to tell us the sodas they carried. A google user said this place has a problem w flies. Amazing, the food was SO fresh and the fries were salty and amazing, it's just as good as the McDonald's in hamel and I was impressed!!!

The lines are long and slow, employees rude, food is never fresh. The inside is cluttered and filthy and can be seen from windows.

Once again I decided to test the mobile app. This time I ordered it and chose to go in to pick up my order. The ordering part of the process once again was easy, even with me having to change my payment method. However, once I arrived at the Godfrey location, my travails began. I walked in and was met by 3 different employees who greeted me. As I looked around to determine what my next step should be, one of the greeters turned to me and, noticing my phone in hand, directed me to one of 2 kiosks, and advised I should start there. I held up my phone with my order number and said, "already done". I then went to the counter and had similar success. The app said I should "look for my order at the pick-up point". I saw a display to the left of the menu, but it showed "no Wi-Fi signal" or something similar. The team member at the counter couldn't find my order and called a manager over who also couldn't find it initially. She then checked with the display by the grill and found my order. She advised it would shortly be ready. So I waited. I watched as order after order came out. I once again was feeling left out. I overheard the manager that previously couldn't find my order direct a crew member to take an order out for a mobile pay customer. I realized it was my food. I stepped up and asked what it was, had them verify where it was ordered, then advised it was the order I requested to pick up 10 minutes earlier. My hope is that someone from McDonald's might read this, or my previous experience, to improve on this service. The app works great. The issue is the human touch. read more

I went there and got a fillet of fish and the bun had mold on it. When I asked for a replacement the counter person was pissed.

I usually go to a different McDonald's, but was in the neighborhood and stopped at this one. I'm sorry to say how disappointed I am. Out of three happy meals and two Big Mac meals, only 2 happy meals were correct. I asked for BBQ sauce for nuggets and it was on the screen, yet there was none in any of the bags. I had ordered a large value meal and didn't get the large fries, rather a medium. Last and worse both Big Mac's were barely Luke warm. Very unhappy and hope someone will take corrective measures read more

We arrived at around 5:30 pm, Saturday November 11th. This is the second time in the last month we've dined in and this will be the last. The tables and dining area are generally not clean....the window ledges are dirty, debris. No clean tables and the Soda Dispenser area/ketchup, etc.....was filthy and not in good order. The manager was dressed in a green shirt, that looked like he had slept in it for a few days, wrinkled and generally not well groomed......which made you understand why the dining room looked the way it did.
