Such a cute and cozy environment with great service. I've never had a bad drink here! Just tried the strawberry cream iced latte. So good. Not too sweet or bitter. 10/10

Lovely little coffee shop in Alton. We like to visit the other locations as well. They have sooo many flavors/add-ins.

Decided to come here last minute since it was near our hotel and it did not disappoint! Staff were friendly and provided amazing recommendations. We should've gotten a large because how good their coffee was.

This place is so cute and the customer service is AMAZING!!! I love how I am able to drink the coffee here as it's allergy friendly. Came here 2 times while visiting family in the area. Not disappointed with the quality of the product, the price, and the customer service! Definitely will visit this place when in the area again!

Ube Latte out on the town
    Natasha M.

While in town, I wanted to do my best to support local businesses. My trip to Germania was well worth it. I have literally ran past this location and was intrigued by their drive up/drive thru concept of ordering, which appears to be well functioning. I was charmed by the interior which appears to be an old bank. The barista was very knowledgeable and recommended the limited time only Ube Latte, which I got frozen. It was very tasty and lasted a long time. I took my latte with my shopping on the Parkway and it lasted through several aisles of looking around. I'm looking forward to checking out the craft beer on a future visit.

I think about the monkey mocha every time I'm in Alton. I love this place. The coffee is amazing. It's one of those coffee shops you just have to sit down in and enjoy the vibe. They have a great menu and the staff is super helpful. Love the old building too. It's about $5 for a regular cup but that's about the price of any regular cup of coffee this coffee is actually worth the price

One of my favorite places to get coffee. It's nice to see a small business doing well in the community.

Knowledge and willing to share ingredients and labels as she helped me order Gluten/Dairy/Sugar free. We had yummy greens with eggs and turkey sausage (hold the croutons). The poppyseed vinaigrette was dairy free and just perfect. My matcha latte and Clyde's coffee latte were delicious. Troy had pizza and he loved the crust ( he had regular but they DO offer GF crust AND vegan cheese!). Sam's French Toast looked amazing in all its gluten-filled glory. We also tried the immunity shots from CJ's Juicery and they were dynamite. If we still lived here full time I'd be making the drive over from STL once a week for that breakfast salad and matcha. The menu is varied and thoughtful, altho I would love to see them find a way to offer at least one gluten free bread (I bet their avocado toast rocks!). I understand it is not an easy undertaking for small kitchens to manage proper handling of GF if it's not their focus. However I promise those on a restricted diet can absolutely find something here due to Hannah's expertise.

However, this review is about them, so let me focus on them only. If you go to Post Commons, you gotta get a biscuit. Their biscuits are homemade and they are delicious. My personal favorite biscuit sandwich is the Sausage. In addition to the sausage patty, it has cream cheese and pepper jam. The pepper jam is what really makes this sammie special. If you're wanting a more hearty breakfast, you can create your own plate with items from the A La Carte menu. I've created one with two scrambled eggs, bacon and breakfast potatoes. The potatoes are cut into little cubes and fried to a crispy golden color. It's a great place to meet friends for a cup of coffee. The staff is cordial and makes you feel welcomed. Why go to a chain coffee shop, when you have a unique one in a old post office building? There is, no reason to go. When: February 4, 2026 Why: Biscuit Sandwich

They have a delicious looking menu with lots of good looking sandwiches and some yummy desserts. I opted for a winter special of the granny grilled cheese and it comes to the side of soup and I got a mini cheesecake on the side. The girls working upfront are so sweet and took my order quickly and answered all of my questions. They also did a great job of bagging up my order to go with utensils and napkins in the bag which I really appreciate. They also even tape closed the box so nothing spills. When I got home and sat down to eat, the food all looked delicious and made it home safe because of the careful packaging. The granny grilled cheese was the perfect mix of sweet and savory that I adore. It was a little messy to eat, but I was eating by myself at home so I didn't care. The tomato soup was the perfect addition to a snowy day. it was warm and flavorful. The cheesecake was also delicious. I got the mini one so I could convince myself I was being healthy but wish I would have gotten a full sized slice because of how delicious it was. I got my order to go for a couple different reasons but one is that they don't have the largest inside seating area and it tends to get pretty full. It's nice to come on a summer day because they have a pretty large outdoor seating area that you wouldn't be able to use in the winter is parking but there's a lot of spaces in the area.
