Ugh... What happened? Leaving Granbury late Sunday night there are not many quick food options, so we decided to grab an order to go from this McDonald's, rather than wait 90 minutes and eat at home. We should have waited. We ordered three food items and none of them were hot OR fresh. Big Mac was barely warm. Fries were barely warm and terribly OVER-salted. McNuggets were barely warm, stiff and stale. The vanilla milkshake was OK, and was the best part of the experience (the cherry on top was a nice touch), but it was not enough to wash away the taste of this horrible meal. This will be our last visit to this location. PS. We are not fans of fast food, but sometimes we succumb to the convenience. read more

More than enough times I have attempted to choose dine in when the door is locked well before closing time. This past time I was not welcome to dine in to a locked door. I then proceeded to use the drive thru. Once in line at the 2nd drive thru lane I made it up to the order menu. I was told to please wait. I waited about 2 minutes to be told "please be patient, we are short staffed". I should have taken that as a hint that my service would be non existent. I watched as 4 vehicles in the 1st drive thru lane had their order taken and were able to proceed forward. I asked if I could be help and was met with a response of "sir, we are short staffed... be patient". I let them know that 4 other vehicles have been served that arrived after me and that is when they said... "we are short staffed.... ". I realized that they wouldn't be short staffed if I was not a customer. I left without being served and will not return. BE WARNED... Consistently bad service and bad food. On my last visit I paid for my food and was told to pull ahead. At the delivery window I was rudely told to pull around the building and someone would bring my food out. When I pulled around there were three cars waiting already. I waited 5 minutes and was about to go inside when the food came out. I got the food and drove away. I grabbed a French fry out of the bag and found they were cold. I turned around, went back and talked to the manager. She said "oh yeah, you're the 8th person to complain about fries being cold and I don't know what's going on". I asked for a refund. She never apologized for the bad food / service and didn't offer a resolution other than the refund. The guy who was waiting in his truck in front of me came in complaining he waited 15 minutes for his food & his order was incomplete. Again she gave no apology or resolution. Ordered door dash. Got to me quickly. However the order was wrong. Everything except the drinks

I've given them several chances and every time my order is wrong or so nasty I can't eat it. If I ask for extra tartar sauce on a fish sandwich, that doesn't mean I want it swimming in tartar sauce. Put it on the side! I also have never heard of putting cheese on a fish sandwich. It looked like they had put it on there and then realized it was wrong and tried to scrape part of it off. I also thought that they put lettuce on their fish sandwiches. No lettuce! Three days ago I ordered sausage egg and cheese biscuit with salt and pepper and that was it. I got bacon egg and cheese biscuit with hashbrowns and no salt and pepper & that was after me questioning the guy if my order was right and he said yes. I purposely don't eat their hashbrowns because they taste nasty too. I don't know if it's the oil they use or if they've ordered a different kind from years ago , but they're nasty tasting. I'm never going back! Their food has gone to pot. The buns are so soft that anything you put on them like tartar sauce or anything just makes it mush. The service is awful too. I don't make this claim lightly. I was in food service most of my life and take this very seriously because that can make or break a business. I just hope the manager actually read the reviews. McDonald's in the past was what you would normally picture for a fast food restaurant. Speedy, hot food, price friendly. Ever since the new manager April has come into play though, you can tell the environment has definitely dropped into the deep end. Constant unhappy employees due to poor management make the experience very memorable of what you wouldn't want to expect. The manager above April is also her husband, so if she doesn't do exactly what he wants she then "has to hear about it at home" and I quote this from multiple employees there. Due to the conflict of interest in the work place, she treats her employees with no sympathy and gives them too stern of punishment for simply being human. A lot of the employees here are extremely unhappy. McDonald's is not what it used to be anymore. It's very heartbreaking to see those struggling in the workplace just to make ends meet with such a ruthless uncaring manager. There's not such thing as a "work life balance" if you work for this manager at this particular McDonald's. You work. And that is all. Management that cannot sympathize with employees when they have family emergencies or death even in the family will create nothing but a rotating door for employment. read more

Went to get ice cream around 7:30 pm, lady who took my order was extremely rude. She said they are cleaning the machine and no I can't have a machine. Could have been a lot nicer about it and not had an attitude then there would have not been an issue. We went to the McDonald's on 377 in Granbury and placed our order inside. We then got our drinks and sat to down wait for our food. We waited and waited. We watched all customers served, but us. My husband went up and ask the cashier what the hold up was and gave her our order number and then we continued to wait. He went to the restroom and I waited. I finally grabbed our receipt and walked up to the cashier and asked her what the hold up was. I explained that we had waited while everyone in the place had been served and they had come in after us. We did not order anything special that would require more time. She asked for the receipt and I handed it to her and by then my husband had come out of the restroom so I went to sit down (I recently had back surgery and am unable to stand for long). We received our food and then someone, I can only assume it was a manager, came to our table and very loudly said she did not appreciate me throwing the receipt at her cashier and yelling at her. I did no such thing and told her this. She wanted to make sure she made a scene and all the customers could hear her. We should have immediately demanded she go and look at the cameras to see that this did not happen but did not think of it until we had already left. I was embarrassed and astounded that this happened when I in no way was rude to anyone. I will note also that not a single one of the employees I saw were wearing a name tag to identify them. It's amazing how bad McDonald's has gotten. I placed an order on the McDonald's mobile app for a pick up order. It was lunch time so I wanted to avoid the long line at the drive through. When I arrived, the lobby was closed with a sign that said short staffed. I walked in to PICK UP my order, not sit down and eat. John (who identified himself as the Assistant GM) told me I had to go through the drive-thru to get my "PICK UP" order. This is exactly what I wanted to avoid. I asked him why he couldn't just HAND IT TO ME???? He said I wasn't supposed to be in the lobby. So, I walked up to the drive-thru window and he said I had to be in a "car"??? He refused to give me my order. I asked him to show me how to cancel my order on the mobile app and he said I had to call "customer service"...I guess because he doesn't provide "customer service"! I come here frequently because of its location, always unfriendly staff and horrible service. Usually the staff never greets you and talks in Spanish once you place your order. Just an example of my experience this morning.... I ordered a #12 (sausage mcgriddle meal) at the drive thru, she tells me they are out of sausage so I told her bacon would be fine. Sat in line for 13 mins. The older lady at the window is never friendly, and she stood there with my order in hand talking to another employee. When I got it I said I needed the hash brown and a straw. She said oh we're out of hash browns but I didn't charge you. I wouldn't of waited that long if she had told me that when I ordered. Worst experience ever. This location is convenient for me, I stop here often in the mornings as it is on my commute. I normally get a hot apple pie. Lately, they've been out and I don't have time to wait. So I called ahead of time, the person who answered assured me in the 15 minutes it would take me to get there, the pies would be ready. I order in the drive thru, they say they are ready just got to put them in boxes, so they have me pull up to wait at the last window. I'm ok with that, she said it would take a couple minutes. 6 minutes later, I'm still waiting. And after 10 minutes of waiting I have to leave because I am super late for work. So I call and let them know, and I explained myself and the person on the phone didn't even listen to me. She cut me off and insisted she'd bring it to the window and hung up on me!! Had she been listening to me, she would know, I'm no longer at the window! I'm well on my way booking it to work, late!! They obviously don't care that they literally just stole from me. That's stealing!! I wonder how often other people get stolen from because they don't have time to wait on incompetent people. I've worked many many years in customer service, yes even McDonald's, way back in the day. I know how flawless and quick a well ran fast food restaurant should and could operate. I was the first customer at the counter this morning. I watched two clerks take 3 drive thru orders before asking for my order. She took the order and disappeared. I watched the kitchen staff prepare my order and it sat there for several minutes before I could get the clerk's attention. I asked her to give me my order and her response was " that bag is empty" She waited on another drive thru customer and then handed me a bag. I knew that wasn't the correct order, I checked it and handed it back and had to watch her wait on another drive thru customer before giving me my order. By this time, my order is cold. A fifteen minute wait for fast food is ridiculous, especially when you are the first one at the counter. read more

This store is a literal joke. Do NOT apply here, if the general manager (Maria) thinks you're going to be late and not show up then she won't even consider you. I applied because I have a newborn I need to take care of and she knows that. I was told to go in by a manager to apply because there was a job opening and a few days later my sister (a worker there) said Maria told her she wasn't going to hire me because she thinks I won't come in on time.
