My uncle had the Rueben with chips, aunt had the club with chips and my mother had the BLT with chips. Everyone really enjoyed what they ordered. After we ate 3 of us ordered the peach cobbler with one scoop of vanilla ice cream and the other ordered the black berry cobbler with vanilla ice cream. The cobbler was fantastic. The service was good our waitress was very nice and even though they were busy our order came fairly quickly. The Cafe is an old mid to early 1900's repurposed gas station. Once you walk inside the cafe now has book shelves along the walls and register area. You are free to grab a book and read it while you are there. There is also a garden area outside you are free to sit at and eat/read. It being Texas and all you will probably avoid it in the hot months. We ended up here because most of the restaurants were closed. We were there on a Wednesday. I walled into one of the shops and asked were they recommend we grab lunch and was told the Storiebook would be a good choice. I would definitely recommend.

My personal favorite is the club sandwich. Cant leave out that have to top off every meal with cobbler and ice cream, I like the blackberry, wife likes the peach. Have a lot of books and kids play area inside. Very comfortable setting and the employees are always friendly and attentive.

It's right next door to where the address on the Yelp Page will take you, but it is formerly the "Bakeshop." The staff mentioned to us the former building/house was being renovated to become an AirBnB or something. We were looking forward to patio seating given we had our pup with us, but the restaurant didn't have any, so we opted for drive-thru. The restaurant itself has a small parking lot. The woman who took our order was very kind and informative, as mentioned previously. I ordered an "Iced Latte with White Chocolate" and ordered the "Breakfast Burrito," which contained sausage, scrambled eggs, and cheese. The latte was good, creamy and sweet with the WC flavoring. The burrito was also good, not amazing, but good! I should have ordered 2 of them, it wasn't too big, so keep that in mind. The cheese was melted inside and the sausage was super flavorful. There was a section of my burrito in which the sausage was actually cold, which took me by surprise, but other than that it was good. Pricing was decent for what we ordered. We would come back if we were driving through again!!

The menu is packed with so many delicious options, but I keep coming back to my all-time go-to: the corned beef hash paired with crispy hashbrowns, three eggs over easy, and buttery toast. It's hearty, perfectly seasoned, and hits the spot every single time. My wife loves switching it up with the Healthy Heart Choice and their incredible blueberry pancakes--light, fluffy, and loaded with fresh berries. She says they're some of the best she's had anywhere! What really makes this place special is the warm, small-town feel. The service is always friendly and attentive, the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and it's just a joy to bring the kids or grandkids here. They love it as much as we do--it's become our go-to spot for family breakfasts that feel like a special treat every time. If you're in Granbury, do yourself a favor and stop by Firehouse Cafe. You won't regret it! Highly recommend.
