I was at the drive-thru and there is a sign advertising the new Spicy McChicken meal just before you pull up to the speaker. I ordered it. The line in front me of me was very long and it took forever to get up to the window to pay and then it took forever to get my order which I took home less than two miles away and when I got home I discovered my sandwich was plain with only three pickles on it... NO SPICY SAUCE, NO TOMATO, NO LETTUCE!!! I hate going to the McDonalds at 7420 Kennedy Avenue in Hammond, IN because they are so slow and love to stand around and talk with each other or I have even seen them on their phones while I am waiting for my order! Worst customer service ever.. The drive thru was a horrible experience...all I ordered was a fish sandwich. Sorry the staff was under staffed, but that should not have an effect on great customer service. We were there August 8, I understand being understaffed can be frustrating but yelling at customers as soon as they pull up to the speaker is just unnecessary and unprofessional. Then explaining that you're not making anymore of a certain item due to being understaffed, also uncalled for, just say you're out of it The gentleman working the window and passing out food was very nice and courteous. Takes forever to get food. After driving 12 hours I would say this is by far the most frustrating and annoying experience I've had today. If you're driving through and planning on stopping, I would recommend skipping to another town or trying a different location. read more

The service at night is so horrible it's laughable. That's coming from a very patient person.. Old, nasty cold food and you have to wait over 10 minutes every time and you're lucky if it's correct. I have never been to this McDonalds and ever got my order right, context I'm a college student at PNW and have been to this McDonalds countless of times and they have never gotten my order right. Went through the drive through in the middle of the COVID lockdown and was handed the wrong order twice. I handed the food back to them hoping they were not going to hand it out as you never know who has the Virus and the food should be made fresh since it was in my car and I touched the food. Sure enough they handed the food out but I was not able to catch the people because I was waiting for my correct order. I am personally not sick, but I just want to make people aware because they might be doing this with other people's orders. They finally hand me my order on the third attempt after having to have several workers look at my receipt which was for only one meal. The worker now has an attitude and says they have the right order now. I pull out of the drive through and open the bag and they are missing the large fry. I drive back through the drive through because the inside is closed and they are upset with me like I forgot their fry. One worker ask why I am back and I explain it and they just hand me a fry and say here you go without any acknowledgment of what happened. Spent 15 minutes getting completely wrong orders and then they mess up a third time. No refund offered or anything. read more

I don't think you can close your restaurant to patrons who need to enter for ADA reasons or use the restroom. No signage says your closed, drive thru only, because of covid. Idk what local law excuses you from turning away patrons who need access this public facility. read more

We did a door dash. Receipt is correct. He dropped it off to us and our order is wrong order missing cheese burger Mcchicken and didnt even give us a straw. This has to be the worst location in the nation. If after sitting in 10 min lines JUST to order in a drive thru didn't steer you clear, and you actually got stuck in the line, when you got to the window and saw 4 workers standing in a office chatting/on computers/cell phones you have to think it's a joke. Then you get the food and it's all over held, nasty garbage that I wouldn't even feed to my dog. Posted pictures and complained and it would appear mc donalds corporation will allow any franchisee to take their name, and represent their products although the standards are poorer than a goulash stand in Pakistan. FOOD POISONING!! I visited this McDonald's on my 3 hour drive home from O'Hare Airport on 28-December-2018. There was half-eaten food on the tables, both toilets in the ladies' room were filled with urine and feces. The restaurant closed at 11pm and I heard (possibly) the manager tell a potential customer who asked to use the bathroom before they closed--that he "better hurry up, because ain't no one gonna be here in a few minutes." I thought to myself...."they're just going to lock up the restaurant as filthy as it is and not clean it? Have they not seen the condition of the ladies' room?" AND I GOT FOOD POISONING about 10 hours after eating there. I'll leave out the gory details, y'all know what I'm talking about though: both ends. I was confined to my bed for 2 days over New Years and missed celebrating with my friends. All because I wanted a cheap, fast meal on a long drive. Last but not least, both ketchup nozzles blew compressed air. No ketchup. At least the Barq's seemed to be mixed at the correct ratios...... I've worked in food service: It's not difficult to keep a restaurant clean and to serve food that doesn't make people ill--but the employees have to WANT and VALUE it. I tried the new Mushroom Swiss Burger - not good. The burger and mushrooms were fine, but the Swiss cheese was hard and not melted. There was a horrifying sauce covering the entire burger- so much that it was impossible to even pick the burger up. I had to scrap all of the sauce off to even try to eat the burger. Stopped for a breakfast combo meal in the drive thru. Only got the sandwich and drink, and usually get a straw in the bag for the drink. After driving away, no damn straw. Parked went in grabbed a hand full of straws, dropped all of on the floor, held onto the one I needed. I really try my hardest not to leave bad reviews but I have to really have been push to my limit. My boyfriend drove to this McDonald's because the other ones in the area are pretty bad. Even though it's out the way we took a chance. He brings the food home (12 mins each way) my burger is completely burnt and my fries were "OKay". I immediately took my food back and exchanged it for the same order and I requested fresh. Before pulling off I check to make sure I had everything to only get home 12mins later to see they just warmed up another pre made burger. I called to let them know the issue and in the middle of me talking they hung up. I called back multiple times to only be ignored. We placed an order at 7:03 pm. There were 4 or 5 cars in front of us. We didn't receive our food until 7:38 pm. A 35 minute wait for four meals! No explanation. When we got home, we realized we were missing two drinks, dipping sauce for nuggets, and napkins. The food was room temperature. I don't have high expectations when I eat at McDonald's, but I expect warm food and timely service. I was disappointed on both counts. The manager didn't even offer a refund. read more

By far the worst fast food establishment I have ever been to. I have visited this particular location twice this week. The first time I ordered a large fry and ask to make sure that it was fresh which we always do because they have had a problem giving customers cold old stale fries for some time now. When I got home my large fry wasn't even filled half way and it was stale and greasy! The second trip I asked for a large for, I came home to see that it was raw, undercooked and super oily! I spoke to the manager after the first occurrence and he was not only rude but super defensive when I was bringing the matter to his attention in a nice way. Please do not waste your time or money at this QSR establishment. There is obviously a lack of training in food or staffing. I would recommend this to no one not even my dog. This fricken mcdonalds is kinda dirty but not noticeably. The staff can sometimes get really familiar with customers. Last time, I was made fun of or hit on, I'm not really sure, I had to get back to work. But the staff aren't as bad as a couple years ago, meaning they don't have an attitude about taking orders, they're alright. Oh, and the ketchup is orange and really acidic.
