It is curious at this McDonald's that the parking lot is full when there is nobody in the dining room. How is this possible? Are there commuters using this lot as a parking drop off and then leaving their car all day? Also, McDonald's has started a trend where there is no place for parking for dining room customers. At this very location I found myself having to cross the drive-through lane to get into the building...... That's how bad the parking space was and I refuse to do that anymore . I pulled into the drive-thru at 12:41 AM -- well before the posted 1:00 AM closing time. The automated voice greeted me, but no one took my order. After waiting about five minutes, I pulled out and saw one employee smoking and another taking out the trash. Clearly, they weren't closed yet, but they also weren't serving customers. If they don't want to serve until 1 AM, they shouldn't advertise that you're open until 1 AM. It's frustrating to be turned away when you're still technically open. read more

It's snowing and took a walk to McDonald's with my boyfriend because our cars snowed in but anywho we walked there and the dining is closed ok cool so we walked to the drive thru window she saw us and immediately shut the window after her last car and my boyfriend knocked on the window to get her attention but it took her a minute to come back to the window and when she did my bf asked can we order and her reply was "it would be better if you were in a car but yea" and that's when I replied and told my bf I'm good we don't have to order here. This is a super busy McDonald's -- especially during lunch hours. It's like a war zone in the parking lot but they tend to handle it like professionals. I should've known better but I was craving a Carmel macchiato so I had to. I waited for a bit to get it but it was quite delicious! Made right! This used to be good food good service. My lady and I love having Mocha Frappes in the AM we're both elderly and with mild Stomach issues, hence AM Frappes are good. This Place started recently with every excuse for not having Frappes. Now it's the Orders being messed up also. Supposed to open at 5 am M-F, now anywhere from 10-30 mins late and nothing is ready so expect another 10 mins to get your order, McMuffins are always burnt. This one has several issues, first being when order is taken, having to repeat my order 3 times. Ordered a kids nugget meal, no nuggets, who's bagging food and who's checking behind? Last visit for me was when the drink maker preceded to put my drink lid on his shirt, then on top of my full glass of tea. I kindly asked for a new one and he did not understanding why, but did. Then I try this place again, same kid is stocking lids, removed them from the plastic sleeve and holds all the lids against his shirt then stocks them. I asked for a manager this time, but female manager seen no problem with cross contamination of any sort. Her comment; I touch your food-my problem was does my food touch your clothing? I believe this to be Store #3601, if my memory serves me correctly. I went through the drive-thru for what should have been a quick and uneventful visit. The issue began at approximately 12:35 that afternoon, when I pulled into the drive-thru line. I started back about three cars order point. It took approximately 10 minutes to move the three car lengths for the opportunity to place my order. A very simple order. A cheeseburger, large Coke with light ice, and a strawberry-banana smoothie. They were unable to provide the smoothie as the machine was down. From the order point to the payment point, it took approximately 15 minutes, moving inches at a time. It then took another 2 minutes or so to get to the actual food window. When I arrived to pick up the food, I was handed the two items that I ordered by a young man. At that time, I asked to speak with the manager. A woman in a light blue shirt came to the window. I addressed her advising that I had been in line for over 25 minutes to get my order. Her explanation was that they were short staffed. I explained to her that this was not really my concern and that is something that she needs to take up with her employees. I advised that she might want to consider closing one or both of the drive-thru order points in order to drive the customers inside. She told me that they were backed up inside as well, and the proceeded to slam the window shut on me. I stayed at that window awaiting someone to open it back up so that I could re-address the issue with the manager. Side-Note---Kudos to the young man at the window that was handing out orders, as he realized the situation and immediately started to collect completed orders and bring them outside to customers waiting in the car line. Meantime, another young lady opened the window and told me that I had to move, that I was holding up the line. I explained that I would move when the manager apologized for slamming the window on me. Another female employee then got behind that young lady and stated matter-of-factly that the manager did not owe me an apology. She then proceeded to state that I had to move and that they had called the police. I then advised that I would leave when the police arrived. The next major issue was when one of those young ladies came to the window, told me to move and that if I did not move, she would throw HOT WATER at me, as she picked up a cup. Of course, I said, please do that. Knowing that we were in a stalemate, she also slammed the window closed and proceeded to flip the bird at me through the window. With all of this said, this was a customer service situation at its worst, and is wrong on so many levels. As soon a I got home, I immediately called corporate customer service explaining the details as mentioned above, I specifically asked if that conversation was being recorded and was told that it was. The young woman in corporate was extremely nice and handled the situation appropriately. I asked her to pass the information on to the owners/operators. Within a very short time-frame, I received a call back from a woman who stated that she was in customer service at the McDonald's Hickory office. Again, I readdressed the situation with her and was received positively. When she asked how to proceed, I advised that perhaps the owner operators might want to take a trip to Charlotte to visit this store and to see what was really going on. I offered to meet with them to further discuss. At that time, I asked that at a minimum one or both of the owners give me a call. On Saturday, February 8th, I left a message with the Hickory office stating that I had not received a call, and that this will not go away. Fast forward to Monday, February 10th, 2020. I still had not heard anything at all from them so I placed a call back to the Hickory office. The young lady that I had previously spoken with at the Hickory office spoke with me again. I explained that I had yet to hear from anyone. She explained that that she had passed the info on to the regional manager and was disappointed that I had yet to hear anything. I iterated that my expectation was to hear from the owners. After speaking with her, I called McDonald's Corporate again to explain my disappoint at not hearing anything from the Hickory owners. I figured that this might shake things up and I would hear something. Much to my dismay, today is Wednesday, February 12th, 2020, and crickets. read more

Long wait in Drive through, only to get home and find my order was incorrect. Asked for 2 McGriddles with no cheese, received 2 McGriddles with no egg, only cheese and sausage. Tried to call to speak to the Manager, however the phone was busy for over an hour before i gave up. Customers should not need to open every sandwich and inspect it to make sure they are right. So I came here and ordered three COFFEES, they were very simple, and we had to wait in line for ten minutes and then when we get to the window they only had two. They told us to go and wait, we waited for 10 more minutes. Then we saw someone pull up and wait for 2 minutes and they got their FOOD first. My husband went to get me one chicken biscuit. They had him pull up for one biscuit. When he bought it to me the biscuit was hard as a rock and we dont live 5 min away.
