Culver's is just plain good, chicken, fish, burgers all excellent. If there's any down side to Culver's it's the wait, been to Culver's in Hickory over a dozen times and 10 to 15 minutes is standard wait time. If you're in a hurry keep driving, but I will say the food is worth the wait. read more

There is good reason why this chain is the best burger joint around this area! The limited time burgers that come out every few months are always astonishingly good. The interior is super nice remodeled and very clean. At times the lines are long trying to order the food, but a little known fact you can try. You can immediately go to your table and order online and pay from your phone using the QR code card at your table and get your food sent directly to you. Who doesn't want to skip the hassle of standing in line especially with hungry kids during the peak busy hours. Try it next time, it's a game changer. This not to detract from the great staff. The staff is great. Always friendly and welcoming you in to the restaurant. The meal i tried this time is the roasted garlic and bacon pub burger with of course cheese curds. I also tried the new mac and cheese. The burger was legendary. The culinary creators are great at combining great ingredients together to create taste worthy dishes. The new limited time cheddar on cheddar mac and cheese definitely puts them on the playing field with this latest dish. Don't ever go on Sunday for lunch. I tried the to go system and it was a crowded mess. The parking is limited and chaotic. When I finally got my food, it was cold and greasy. Tried the walleye, the fish would have been good if it was crispy. My two pieces were soggy, my wife had one good crispy piece. The slaw is good. Two meals cost me 35.99. Clean, attentive and friendly staff. Both a check mark. Tenders are crispy, beautiful white meat, done perfectly, and juicy. Burger is flavorful, but...dang they're scrimpy for the price. Definitely a higher end fast food place so you're going to pay a bit more...and I'm good with it, but, don't be flimsy with your patties when you're charging for something more. I love Culver's but I am so sad that they have opened one in hickory that absolutely STINKS. I have visited several times since opening always hoping for a better experience. Always disappoints. The servers are rude and act like orders being wrong isn't their fault. Each time I have come-I have gotten the same thing. Different price each time. Gap of $10 different pricing. I asked to order a fish sandwich once and they said sorry I'm not sure how to order that and laughed. I have never met ruder staff. Tonight they have messed up my order once again. The service was good at the register but Iree (i think her name was) served us our food and made a comment saying "interesting name choice" and it was just my signature others nickname, I found this a little rude but to each their own. We stopped at Culver's while traveling because we love the one at home. We entered the drive-thru line and about 5 minutes in, regretted that decision as we were stuck, not able to get out. About 40 minutes later we were on our way. To be fair, the employees were super friendly, the order was {mostly} correct and the food was hot and delicious! Absolutely worst service ever. We waited a while which was fine, it's new. They are new. They are learning. We got our food and some items were missing so we went back to ask.
