I had arrived at Hobby (from Oakland) at a little past 7 PM. My bag came out relatively quickly, the Avis bus was right there, and a short time later I was on the Gulf Freeway heading towards my ultimate destination of Westheimer and Highway 6. Further up in College Station, Highway 6 does indeed run both ways. I previously made mental plans to stop at a recommended place inside the Loop for Dinner and then make a leisurely drive up Westheimer from there. However, as I'm hard wired to want to get to my temporary Hotel Home first, a better option was to stop at Specs for some wine, get Cuban takeout at a place near the Holiday Inn, and then relax in the room. The Specs part went just fine, as a picked up a nice Galacian White and a Portuguese Rose for the long days ahead. However, the Cuban place was closed, and by the time I settled into the room, it was late, and all I wanted to do was to walk a short ways for takeout and relax. Logan's Roadhouse was the nearest place, but the menu wasn't all that interesting and I didn't want that much food. Most everything else was a little far on foot, except for this Micky D's. So......which wine do you think went the best with my snack wraps and fries? Trust me, I'll do much better with my dining options over the next few evenings. The service is the worst I've ever seen at a McDonald's. They should be embarrassed. Never use curb service. They won't bring your food to you. I've never seen a qualified manager there, as well. Totally pathetic. read more

What's the purpose of having hours of operation? I'm tired of pulling up 10,20,30 even 40 minutes before closing and getting a "sorry we're closed" message. I emailed a complaint about a drive through issue that occurred one evening. An employee was extremely rude and the manager Evelyn did an excellent job taking care of it. I quickly received a call from the general manager and was given an apology and offered a free meal. I was notified that the rude employee was fired as well. I'm never happy to hear that someone was fired however I doubt it was just that incident. Fortunately Evelyn was there again and took care of me to get my free meal. She was professional and kind as well as offered me an extra drink for free. I've had ups and downs at this location for 15 years but mostly good my biggest complaint of course is when they stop serving ice cream at night! read more

Ok every time I pulled up to McDonald the stupid jingle from the commercial stuck in my head. All the smiling faces from the commercial it's a lie. The drive through experience is one of the worst. Knowing it's gonna be a long wait wait for the drive through, I decided to give it a go during the middle of breakfast rush. I ordered the sausage McMuffin and hash brown and the orange juice. No special order what can go wrong right ?? Wrong !!! First took a long time for me to get to the window, but that is ok they are busy. Then when I get to the window they told me they had to change out the orange juice would I like something else? First of all how the hell you run out of the orange juice in the middle of your breakfast rush. Second of all if I wanted something else I order something else, and why didn't you tell me that when I ordered at the speaker. Guess the timing is really bad. Then the icing on the cake came... They hand me the order without apologized or thank you. Well that went really well with kind of mood that they put me through. Leave it for the pros at McDonald to give the best for customer service. Before I drove off I just had to said to them: "Thanks for waiting and you welcome for the money I spent." Caught them off guard the manager came up and said thank you sir. Stopped at McDonald's for a cup of coffee. I ordered a large cup of hot coffee. The manager on duty took my order. She did not ask me if I wanted cream or sugar. She gave me my coffee. I took one sip and the coffee was cold. I immediately informed her that it was cold. She just took the cup without saying one word. She never said I'm sorry, let me get you a fresh cup or how long it would take for a fresh brew. She just walked away. I had to ask her if she was making a fresh pot. The manager had someone else make the coffee and give it to me. I have never walked into a Mcdonald's and experience this kind on treatment from a manager. Two stars for the hotcakes. I liked the old pressed meat nuggets better than the new white meat nuggets. I might get a lot of weird looks, but the fries are only average. Yogurt parfaits are not bad. McDonaldland cookies for a snack. Filet O'Fish is better than all the burgers. No tartar sauce. Grilled chicken is okay. Milkshakes are fair. Breakfast Burritos can be hit or miss. 3 stars because I'm not a McDee's fan but was hungry and needed to get something quick. When I drove in the drive through was long so went inside. One person at the counter ordering no issues. Took my order pretty quick and turned it around quickly. Just ordered a fish sandwich. While sitting inside noticed a person came in with a cane and needed assistance. They did not hesitate to assist the woman. Also noticed a guy who had some problems with his order and they were fixed quickly with not issues. The facility was clean, the news was playing, (Astros game would have been better). Overall I was fine with the visit and the service and would recommend. read more

I have to say that most people don't expect much or don't pay attention to many fast food places, I went through the drive-through on Sunday and Maribel was so polite, and had a smile in her voice even before I reached the pay window. Went tonight around 9pm. Very understaffed,only two young unprofessional guys were there. Lack of service and food was cold.

Arrived to this McDonalds at 11:47 after confirming on google they were open until 12. Upon arrival I was told they were closed by an automated message at the speaker so I pulled up to the window and asked if the hours were wrong. Guy wouldn't answer. Slightly heavier Hispanic man. I then pulled up to the actual door to see and sure enough it said "Drive thru 6am-12am" so I backed up to food pick up window and the manager wouldn't talk to me. He/She simply sent the "manager trainee" a young light skin African American lady as not to inconvenience themselves. The trainee said they started closing at 11:45 due to covid which makes absolutely no sense being that Texas is fully open, no masks were being worn inside and what does 15 minutes early do in a "pandemic". Very disappointed with the answers I received and I even had another lady.. a nurse in full uniform probably getting off work from a hard day walk to the window from her car behind me and she was very agitated as was I. She told the lady she was going to call McDonald's corporate and the lady said "call who you want". She probably didn't care because corporate McDonalds obviously isn't going to hold there employees accountable. The McDonalds is also off on Highway 6 which is rather busy at all times so the whole 15 minutes is kind of unintelligent as a business owner if it was there decision which is why I'm not buying it. I arrived here today with my daughter and her teenage friend. Both 13. They ordered their very simple orders. Iced Lattes with fries. A girl named ONAYA brought them a hot coffee took almost 20m. My daughter very shy and politely said no ma'am I ordered a ice coffee. ONAYA looked at her asked her three times "you didn't order a hot coffee" and my daughter answered each time no ma'am. This employee rolled her eyes at my daughter walked away and threw the drink in a nearby sink. I grabbed the receipt said excuse me to this employee to point out she had gotten the drink wrong and the receipt even says iced so there wasn't a reason for this employee to get upset and preteens for HER mistake !!! She began to yell at me !!! Tell me to be quiet and kept placing her hand up and walking towards me. I told her to return our money !!!! Step said I'm not returning nothing and said that girl can give you y'alls money. Back. A very soft spoken manager on duty heard this all and just said shhhhh to her employee acting out!! I begin to ask why is she allowed to act this way to the manager about the employee and ONAYA yelled she has a headache and will SPIT in all our faces !!!! The manager did nothing !!! Nothing. I asked for the GM. Was told his name was Victor no number provided just he's in a meeting. I filed a police report on ONAYA who threatened to spit on us for her mistake !!!!
