Overall my experience at this McDonald's was not enjoyable. The service was slow and the staff was pretty confused by our order as we had a mobile and a pick up we had placed at the window. I don't think this is their fault but I think the app should have a more simple to use platform. When I got my order my drink was not filled near to the rim of the cup which was also kinda annoying. I decided to get dessert after picking up my dinner from Oryza (see previous post about that) and stopped at McDonald's on Riverside on 04/15/20. I ordered 2 apple pies ($2.38) + a large sweet ice tea ($1.00). Tea was great per ush, but the pies were gross. They tasted like they were not cooked all the way through. They were doughy and didn't have the same consistency as they usually do (cooked all the way, brownish, etc.). This was upsetting as I was already have a bad experience with my dinner. I ended up eating the chicken by itself which is quite peppery which I like but whatever is going in the disgusting excuse of a muffin it was overpowering as I didn't taste the black pepper at all. McDonald's allows mobile ordering for lobby pickup but their lobby is closed, forcing patrons to only use the drive thru. However, no matter if you live across the street and are unable to drive, McDonald's will confirm your order and not allow you to walk through the drive thru to pick up your order. They accidentally gave me wrong sandwiches and I went back and they were expecting me because they knew they messed up and fixed it right away, even offered me a card for the inconvenience but I declined because it wasn't a big deal. Just wasted an hour of my life! Ordered my food via the mobile ap. My order was placed around 0140am Drove thru the drive thru, went to both windows and was told to park. Waited for 20 minutes. Called the store and was told to go thru drive thru again! I ordered 2 McDoubles and 2 McChickens without lettuce before work at about 10:30 PM. I pay for the order, all's fine and well whatever. I get up to 2nd window they have me pull forward to 3rd window. No problem, should be an easy quick order shouldn't take long whatever. I watch 9 cars pass me after getting their orders from 2nd window. Then someone finally showed up to third window and I'm in a rush so I take bag and go. I open bag 5 minutes later, I received 4 McChickens all with lettuce. Not only was an easy order messed up, but I was over charged because the McDouble is more expensive. I've come to this McDonald's many times as it is the most convenient for me, but this is by far the worst one I've been to. This is not an exaggeration but literally 4 out of the 5 times I've been there in the last two months my order has been incorrect, and I just now was there and went through the drive through where I was left sitting for 15 minutes before I had to go inside to be helped because I saw they took another order before me and then continued to let me sit there. Then I get my food and leave and get home only to discover on top of this they messed up my order again. I guess the problem with this McDonalds is that it changes staff so often it's hard to tell if you're going to have a nice experience. I'm a frequent customer and so far I was lucky to never have any problems. The food is indistinguishable from other McDonalds and the service is timely. I guess that's what you get in a college town, but I don't think they accurately reflect the service for when normal people go there. I've gone there several times during daylight hours. I'm at the drive-thru. The voice from the box gives me a total and tells me to go to the second window. (Late at night, it is common for one window to be closed.) As I pass the first window, a teenage girl leans out and shouts, "Come back here, bitch!" I obey. She asks for a different amount of money from what the box said. I go "Ummm?" She says "Did you have [what I ordered]? That's [the amount she said]." I pay her. She fumbles with the register for two minutes and gives me an amount of change that cannot be explained by either of the totals I was given. She offers no receipt.
