I have never seen a McDonald's operate quite like this one. For starters, trying to place an order at the actual cash register seems to be an inconvenience to the employees. More often than not, you are left standing there wondering if anyone is going to acknowledge you. Meanwhile, the drive-thru appears to receive all the attention in the building. (Sometimes, they stand around doing nothing completely just to avoid the cash register, ignoring you and very much noticing you.) Once you finally manage to order, be prepared to wait. Fifteen minutes seems to be the bare minimum, and I have watched customers stand around waiting for their food while drive-thru orders continue flying out the window, or the workers don't seem to bother to make the food for the people inside waiting. I understand that restaurants get busy, but when the people standing inside are consistently waiting this long, something clearly needs to be addressed. The atmosphere is another issue. Nearly every employee looks absolutely miserable to be there. One employee even openly said that they hate working there. I appreciate honesty as much as the next person, but perhaps that is not the sort of thing customers should be hearing while waiting for a Happy Meal. I am not asking for a red carpet or a personal serenade with my Big Mac. I would simply like to be acknowledged when I walk in, have my order taken in a reasonable amount of time, and receive my food without feeling as though I have been forgotten. Management really needs to take a look at how this location is being run. Customers should not feel like an inconvenience for choosing to walk inside instead of using the drive-thru. read more

Stopped by this morning to pick up a few cups of coffee. I know many say "eew you eat there?" Well I happen to think that McDs has one of the best coffee and sweet tea around. This particular morning I ordered a big breakfast with a coupon my co-worker gave me. I just wanted a coffee. I had a separate coupon for any size coffee with an egg McMuffin purchase. I figured I'd give the sandwich away to another co-worked. When I announced this to the drive thru person, to my surprise he asked "how many people are in the car?" Surprise because I've never needs asked this, I answered that it was just me and but have an order for my co-worker. They proceeded to tell me that only one coupon would be honored. Granted, it wasn't a big total $, bit my thinking quickly resorted to "its the principal" of things. I pointed out that it did not say this in the coupon! They held on to a 'no', so I drove up and picked up my order with the rudest drive thru Persons. There was even a 3rd employee leaving back from the cash register trying to get a glimpse of me as if I was some sort of weirdo that had just committed a crime!!! What a headache just for something so simple. Society is turning to no couponing because there are just too many limitations, exceptions, exclusions, yada, yada, yada....those mega billion $ companies are certainly NOT out anything by honoring a coupon. Go elsewhere Now they make you order from the kiosk. Ordered at 5:19. Got our food at 5:45. They were not even busy yet. Missing stuff from our order once arrived. Went back to the front and got to deal with mr personality. Dark hairs short guy that should not be dealing with the public. He said he would bring our stuff in a min. He shows up in a hurry drops off some of what was missing. Yet still had to go Up front. Watched this guy deal with others and did just as bad of a job. McDonald's was as expected. Food was hot, shake was cold and fries were crispy. However the service at the drive thru was beyond expectations. Our ambulance cannot fit in drive thru. The service was absolutely horrible. Mc Donalds is a food chain known for their speed and the service displayed here falls well below standards. Some processing needs to be sped up or it is very unenjoyable for customers. We sat in the DRIVE THRU line for 40 minutes when it wasn't even prime meal time. I waited at the screen to place an order while the other lane continued to have their orders taken. After 5 cars went ahead of our car I had to get the attention of another car by honking horn and asking them to tell the person inside they aren't taking orders in one lane. Extremely frustrating and I have seen this happen another time at the same location . Perhaps train employees how to pay attention and better manage lanes at dinner time. read more

The service was really slow but was during the dinner rush but line did move quite slowly. Ordered cheeseburgers without ketchup and received with ketchup but even worse was the taste was awful as bun was burnt so ended up throwing those away. The fries must have been a few hours old as they were barely warm and really chewy. Three of the five items we received went into the trash. This was definitely one of the worst visits to this restaurant and that is saying a lot as the service nor food quality are ever comparable to other McDonalds we visit but with the limited choices of fast food in this town, left with not too many other options but would recommend others to go elsewhere. read more

DO NOT WORK HERE! Wish I could give negative stars for this place! Many of the managers have MAJOR anger issues they'll take out on you for no reason then blame you for making mistakes due to stress from the toxic environment even though I let higher ups know many times & filled out 2 harassment forms I never got back to for and wound up getting fired because I handed out the wrong bag that a manager handed to me to hand out & you're so rushed you so you feel like you don't have time to double check the bag a lot of the time. Easier to get rid of the employee that's being abused for no reason whatsoever than deal with HR & or even just expecting the same if not better behavior from management as they do from everyone else! Seriously the most shady and crazy awful bass ackwards place I've ever worked for even tho I did an above and beyond job always! Am so happy I don't work there anymore so likely for the best! This appears to me to be a well ran McDonald's. From what I was reading I was very concerned. The gal who took my order was helpful. I asked if there were any specials. She checked on her register and said yes. And told me; and I ordered;partially based on that and finished my order. It's a clean store, and the bathroom was clean. The people working the drive thru were screwing around the whole time, they charged us for an order that wasn't even ours (make sure to ask for and check your receipt), they did not even apologize for messing up the order. OK, so it's Don's. But I eat a lot of fast food because of reasons and this is likely the worst one I've ever been to. Unfortunate it's in my home town. Waited 45 minutes for a double qpc value meal. Lots of people back there, but they were all just looking at each other wondering. Someone came in from the drive up and wanted their money back because of the wait. They asked to talk to a manager. One of the employees said "there are two managers here, but they are in the cooler yelling at each other". LOL read more

Went to this location after doing some shopping at Carver MN. My first thought after walking in this store was GROSS. There was toilet paper on the floor as we walked in. I wanted to turn around and walk out but my kids were starving. Then at the counter this mexican gal helped us and was so pre-occupied with her air bud in her ear she got our order wrong. She was very loud and I was absolutely not impressed at all with her!!! Does Mcdonalds really allow their employees to listen to air pods rather then their customers??? VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!! We went there on 2/1/2020 at 5:14 so whoever that girl was she needs to be talked to!!! The big women in the glasses who took our order must have been new bc she didn't know what she was doing!! I was in the mood for a chocolate shake so I stopped here on my way home from an entire day of traveling back from Seattle to MN. I had about 40 more minutes to get home. I stopped in the drive through where there were 3 cars that had already ordered waiting for their orders, but the drive through lights were off. I waited about a minute while someone took an order in the other drive through intercom and someone then came to my side. I told them my order of a med chocolate shake and then waited in line. As I waited in line, the lights kept going on and off at the drive through and there was an employee that was in the back using fowl language and smoking. Another employee came out at that time and did the same thing, fowl language and smoking. They started to harass the girls in the vehicle in front of me by telling them they were hot and trying to talk to them, but they wanted nothing to do with the boys/employees. As we moved up in line the employees continued to speak fowl (swearing, talking poorly about McDonald's) and then the one left. As I got up in line further, I see the manager stick his head out of the drive through window and make out with a female in the vehicle a few vehicles in front of me. I put my hands up in disgust and got completely irritated at that point. I found some cash so I wouldn't have to give them my credit card. I finally got my shake about 15 minutes if not more after I ordered and was on my way home. Seriously, it was the worst ... the store was just remodeled not that long ago, so you would think it would be nice, but I will "NEVER" stop here again! read more

I have never had such a horrible experience as I have had with this McDonald's. I live out of state and was on my way to the airport when I stopped in the drive thru 6/11/18. I ordered 5 items, 2 of which were mcgriddles. I didn't realize that one of my sandwiches wasn't in the bag until after I left. By the time I realized it, I didn't have time to go back. I tried calling the restaurant directly but the phone kept ringing and ringing with no answer. I eventually gave up and called corporate who said they would have the franchise owner call me back. I patiently waited... no call back. I called about 6-7 times since and have been told that they would have someone call me back. From the beginning, all I have wanted was my money back for the sandwich that I paid for and didn't receive. The last time I called corporate, they said they would send me coupons since I still hadn't been contacted and it was Oct. 12th. I have not received the coupons. Today, I received a generic letter thanking me for my feedback and my time and apologizing for the lack of service I was given. They apologize for not being able to speak over the phone to resolve the issue, but states they are thankful for McDonald's corporate for sending me the coupons (which I still haven't received). I am so disappointed, frustrated and upset with this entire process. It should NOT have taken almost 5 months to, not only get a reply, but an attempt of resolving the issue. I have not gotten one call/voicemail/message from anyone other than the letter I got from April today. I promise, I will never give my business to this McDonald's again. Have never gone to this McDonald's and gotten the correct order.Went today and ordered a Mcdouble with pickles only and got a Mcdouble with ketchup, mustard, onions, and no pickles. what is wrong here? I had made up my mind I was not going to go ever again but my grandson wanted to. will not let this happen again, I also ordered a chicken Mcnugget meal and asked what drink came with it and could I make it an orange juice. I live in Mankato, and during the school year, we meet our daughter from Minneapolis at this McDonalds two times on a weekend for almost every weekend to pick up and bring back our two grandsons. I was in this evening 7/25/2017 for a quick bite to eat with my grandson that I had picked up at the Mpls airport on our way home to Mankato. If there was a complaint about an old man on this date, it would be me. When we entered no-one was at the counter ordering any food. The only other customer in the counter area was a female customer was waiting for her food. I ordered our food; a double hamburger with ketchup only (no cheese), medium fry and drink for my grandson (his usually order for the last 3 years). I ordered a quarter-pound cheese burger meal, add mayo, lettuce and onion for myself. I paid for the meals and got a receipt time stamped 6:34 p.m. which I did not inspect (assuming what I ordered was what I paid for). My grandson went to the play area while I waited for our food. After 15 minutes waiting there was no food. I made a sarcastic inquiry about our food. Finally, after 17 minutes our food was given to us. I noticed that he was given a happy meal; rather than the meal I had ordered for him. I took the tray into the play area any way where my grandson was playing. I checked the burger as quite frequently it has cheese on it even though we order it without. Sure enough it had cheese on it. I returned it to the counter and asked for a double hamburger, ketchup only as I had order. The night manager looked at the receipt and pointed out that I was given what I had ordered. Looking at the receipt at this time, she was right, but it is not what I ordered. The wrong order had been keyed in which I did not notice. I watched and waited as the burger was remade for my grandson. I saw the burger hit the pickup area and waited for a couple of minutes. There was no effort by the staff to assure that I got the sandwich when it was complete. I finally had to ask someone for it. At this point I was not a happy customer. I asked who the franchise owner was and was given only the name of Dave with no last name. NOTE TO DAVE: I am assuming at this point that you wish to be anonymous: I would liked to have written to you outside of this website in a more private manner; however I was not able to do that.
