I cannot tell you how cool this place is. I wish more than anything that I lived closer to Hastings so I could visit this coffee house all.the.time. The coffee and food was excellent, felt made with love. The business is set inside of an older house which makes for so much room to spread out! We found lots of little corners to hide in and saw a bunch of people when we were there but it also felt like it was empty at the same time? Such a great vibe. There's plenty of spaces to work, play board games, or catch up with a friend which is what we did. The coffee flights were adorable as well but I'm a sucker for a good coffee flight. Adorable! Once again, I am all about giving back to local coffee shops so for me this is a simple choice when in Hastings. Located right off the freeway, you won't want to miss this one. Crossing over the river makes this an entire experience for me. I recommend making a day trip here since there are other shops to explore nearby. This was my second visit where the first visit was for Mother's Day in 2024 but I didn't have time to Yelp it back then. Built in what appears to resemble an old school house, Froth & Cork does things right. While the parking is not giant, you can make your way to the next street up and you will find something. Once inside, the entire concept is unique. It's a blend of new and old with big oversized furniture, old antiques and a warm concept. Many tables have jars of "table talkers" to get visitors chatting. While not required, I appreciated the gesture. Selling soy candles (I bought 2 due to the yummy flavors), chapstick (the clean kind yay) coffee tumblers, and stickers amongst all the coffee drinks and light food makes this place ultra cute. There is a floor level which has seating and lots of board games along with a great bathroom. Upstairs is even cuter being up high with segregated rooms, tables and even an exterior porch (note: this one is hot in the summer bc there is no AC) but anything else inside does have AC. Every table has outlets which made it a perfect place for me to do some computer work. The cashier at the register was kind and compassionate. She walked me through the best way to enjoy my blended coffee drink as I was opting to add protein powder. This is the vibe I want to have in my coffee shop and I truly enjoyed my stay. I drive through Hastings all the time, but had never stopped here. Very convenient location just a block of 61 with street parking right in front. They had 4 seasonal drinks as well as all the traditional coffee drinks. I ordered a mint chocolate mocha that was amazing. In addition to great coffee, they also have baked goods from Hanisch Bakery including donuts, cinnamon rolls, and even my favorite..special k bars. The service was great and the staff was friendly. I love a coffee shop in a converted house. Though on the beautiful Saturday that we visited it was bumping. I'd sure like to come back and read on one of the couches. As far as coffee goes they serve Peace Coffee so I didn't bother with testing the drip. Peace is always solid but nothing to get excited about. My wife and I just split a little speciality iced latte flight. All of them were Little Debbie themed. They were all tasty especially the different whip creams and cold foams. I dislike overly sweet drinks and these seemed pretty reasonably sweet. The only real issue I had was the price seemed a little steep. Tried a few pastries as well but didn't think too much of them. I love this spot! I was their first customer this morning and the worker, who was flying solo, was great. I used the restroom, which was very clean and smelled good for some reason. My "downtowner" beverage was outstanding as usual. The breakfast sandwich was pretty bland, but was as described. This place has a small menu but they perfectly execute everything on their menu. Where do I start? I'll break it down into categories. No particular order of importance. First, I want to start by saying I came on a Saturday at 10am. I was afraid that would be a hot/busy time. It was busy but I barely waited. I got the Iced Downtowner. - YUM. I'm going to think about that for the next week non-stop. Not too sweet. Just perfect. Sometimes coffee places have weird flavored espresso. This was so good. I got the Breakfast Toastie and got a Sausage Patty instead of Ham. *mic drop* That was so good. I'm a sourdough baker and was SO pleased with the sourdough magic they created. It was thinner than an English muffin but not too thin. (I need to know how they make that). The bakery case was stocked well and I was eyeing the blueberry scone - I somehow showed self control and didn't get it. Line moved quick, and had to wait MAYBE 5mins to get my drink and food. The seating throughout the house is so cute. Every room of the house has different seating. Booths, "dining room tables", etc. It was so cute nicely decorated too. The coziness is immediately welcoming and absolutely lovely. Froth & Cork is a repurposed home with tons of comfy seating both upstairs and downstairs. It honestly feels like visiting a family or friend's house and just hanging out sipping coffee. I had to order the Whiteout flight, and oh my goshhh, it was delicious. All of them! The coffee was nice and strong and not sweet. I'm being honest here....I found myself licking every last bit of the cup it was that good and I seriously have no shame. Were able to snag the last pistachio muffin and sticky bun, and when I saw the goodies were from Hanisch Bakery in Red Wing, MN, my answer was yupppp getting those bad boys. Complete YUMMMMOOO! On my way out, I grabbed a 16oz Hastings latte to go. The place was busy and people are constantly coming in and out, I'd say it's definitely a loved spot in Hastings. If you want a prime seat, you might have to wait a bit, but it's well worth it. The menu is fantastic, offering a great variety of coffee, specialty drinks, and delicious food. We tried the Peppy Pesto and Supreme Cheese sandwiches, both made fresh in their on-site kitchen, and they were absolutely delicious. Flavor was good but the person taking orders was not sure how to put it into the system so we ended up getting a white chocolate cold press with sweet cream. Still good but unfortunate we didn't get what we wanted. This item is on their hidden menu on the website. *Iced dowtowner 5 STARS -A latte with white chocolate and vanilla. Supposed to come with whip and cinnamon but Hot girl summer is in 3 months so I did half the sweetness and no whip. It also surprisingly came with a mini stroopwafel which was delicious. Loved the flavor of the coffee, WOULD GET AGAIN. When I picked up the cold press, the barista kind of scolded me on not knowing how to order the iced white turtle cold press... that is exactly what I ordered, it was the cashier that had fault in the process of not knowing how to put the order in. Slight turn off so had to give a review for that interaction. Wine options were very slim pickings! They do have at least one moscato, red, and white wine though. Lovely ladies working that crushed the rush, when we stopped in about two hours after open the first floor was packed with people. Yet the space is accommodating with seating available in the back of the house, upstairs and on the patio. We got the tangy turkey toastie with provolone, raspberry jam and cream cheese. We also got the ultimate toastie with bacon, roasted red peppers and salami. Both toasties came with lightly salted kettle chips, napkins and the toasties had a crunch to them. There were so many syrups available but I went with blackberry and I added oat milk to my cold press. There are insulated cups, jewelry and even lip balms for sale, there is contactless payment. With a bustling atmosphere and quirky artwork I could see this being someone's favorite place. Iced coffee flight, need I say more?? I was PSYCHED when I saw they offered coffee flights and the excitement was totally worth it. The flights are only for iced coffee but that's okay- they were awesome. It was great getting a chance to try all their seasonal flavors. I also got a blueberry scone and a bagel, both of which were delicious. There is a lot of seating inside but every single chair, booth, and surface was taken when I was there. I got lucky enough to snag a little table near the window upstairs. There's more seating outside but it was a cold, rainy day when I was there so everyone was trying to sit inside. Service was quick and the baristas were so sweet even though they were dealing with a line that literally went out the door. I HIGHLY recommend stopping by if you're in the area! I wish I had more time currently to write about Froth & Cork; I may come back to add to my review here when I can because I could go on for hours about this place. My partner and I come here every once in a while for a treat and every time they knock it out of the park. Tangy Turkey always crisp and sweet, coffee always smooth. Even when they're swamped at a rush period the workers always seem like they're keeping their cool and this May morning particularly the team seemed on it. This shop does a rotational of changing flavors with the season, as do many coffee shops and franchise corporate whatever locations have nothing on what Froth offers. Dude, their Mayflower drink is a lavender and honey drink and I swear this must be what Olympic gods describe as ambrosia. This place called my attention a few times before so I decided to stop by today since I was looking for coffee or hot chocolate. I went in I was acknowledged immediately I ordered hot chocolate and I went to the restroom I checked the place windows lights everywhere. Quick service. Chocolate was good. Many people sitting downstairs an upstairs and different room and some kind of walls in between so you have a little bit of privacy and you don't have to suffer from the grinding sounds of the coffee machine or the cappuccino machine.
