I went to McDonald's at 2300 Gulf Fwy and used the kiosk to order a big breakfast with steak. However, I received a big breakfast with pan sausage instead. I took a picture of the incorrect order with the receipt to address the issue later, as I couldn't return immediately. When I went back, I spoke with a manager named Carolina. She seemed annoyed by my complaint and offered to make the steak. I explained that I had placed the order 30 minutes ago and didn't want the food anymore. She initially refused to refund me and then tried to refund me for a coffee and other cheaper items instead of the steak. It was clear she was trying to minimize the refund to $0.56 for a small coffee. I felt extremely disappointed and thought Carolina was biased despite my proof. I insisted on a refund for the steak portion. She continued to give me attitude and said I should come in immediately next time to get the food redone, implying it was my fault. Carolina and another coworker spoke in Spanish and pointed at me, Carolina started to make me really uncomfortable. If Carolina is this rude and lacks customer service skills, she shouldn't be a shift lead. She needs additional training and possibly demotion. This seems like a broader training issue. read more

Ordered a single coffee and it took 20 mins of my life away that I'll never get back.

I eat some different items like Fish , chicken sandwich, and Big Macs, pies, muffins. And the McRib my favorite. However, I've never eaten the McNuggets so I decided to order an 8 piece instead of a second fish sandwich. I got the Sweet and Sour and the Honey Mustard sauces. I tell you right now, I don't se how anyone can eat these garbage nuggets. I could barely eat a second nugget and I just spit it out. I am not sure how to write this review. Let's start with the facts. We had just gotten off the Carnival Breeze, this was the first Mickey-D's we saw, it is RIGHT off the freeway, we dove in, and IMMEDIATELY wanted to smash our faces into a brick wall...at high speed, while on fire, and being attacked by a rabid badger, which was also on fire. We ordered a 20 piece nugget. Kidding-you-not it took damn near 20 minutes to get our nuggets. My wife and I sat in amazement as we counted no less than 6 people standing around behind the counter, doing God knows what other than wasting oxygen and staring off into space, while 1 gentlemen, presumably the manager due to their different uniform, did ALL the work. He was making orders, wrapping them, expo-ing them out, running the fryer, all while 1 other lady salted fries and parceled them out. 6...people...out of these 6, one person struggled to get orders right. Another would take the managers expo-ed orders, turn around, and yell out the customer number. And the establishment? Filthy. Diabolical. I would only have eaten at a table if I were paid. I know I shouldn't expect more, but I do. At least the nuggets were fresh. That alone saves a star. And the other star goes to that manager...damn that person is underpaid. read more

All the staff seemed miserable and annoyed to be helping me. I ordered my meal and when I asked for my soda they gave me an empty cup. And there wasn't a place to grab a drink so I asked if they could get me my soda they looked irritated to be bothered. And all laughed together and continued to not get me my drink. I asked the manager for my drink , she went to back to "get it" came back and acted like I wasn't even there. And let her employees all act rude to guest and ignoring people waiting. After asking for the 5 th time they finally got my a drink. Mind you there was no one in the restaurant. Which made it more irritating I would understand slow and irritated service if it was busy. I feel the need to tell you how awesome this McDonald's has been after the Hurricane Harvey. They had the store up and running right away and were feeding droves of hungry people. Flooded people, first responders, people weary from cleanup and helping others. The employees were all working as hard as they could. They greeted everyone with a hello and a smile. The food was hot fresh and amazing. These employees deserve recognition for what they accomplished. read more

I dread their summer workers because they have no customer service skills whatsoever. Especially in the drive thru where they make you feel like you have just ruined their day for pulling up. Just tried ordering off their WorldWide Menu and was reading right off their menu board and got scoffed at by the order taker because THEY had no idea they had new items even after I repeatedly told them it WAS ON THEIR MENU. And then he was rude to me like I was being insane ... FFS this location needs to get it together with their customer relations. If your bathrooms are filthy, so is your food. Wish I could give 0 stars. Was driving home from Galveston and realized how good some iced tea would be. Before ordering, I hit the ladies room since we had such a long drive ahead. There were 2 stalls. One was locked from inside and the other had a floor covered in toilet paper with poo poo everywhere! So it was either go in there or crawl under the door of the other stall. I asked the manager for help. He just stared at me. There were 2 girls laughing in the back. They said they would have to crawl under the door to unlock it but nobody offered or went in there. No apologies and nobody gave me any TP. Another woman came inside & went to the bathroom. She came out about 5 seconds later. She asked if somebody could unlock the stall door or give some TP to her. The employees wouldn't respond. Everyone taking care of the drive through folks. She & I both left. She said, "This place is disgusting." My husband asked where the tea was when I got to the car. I just told him to drive as I took my shoes off and placed them in the trunk. First off, they wouldn't take my Royal Caribbean Sea Pass card as payment. Second, I got this piece of paper that lists out everything I just ordered and the price I paid. I think they called it a receipt. HAS THIS WORLD GONE TOPSY-TURVY!? I expect to just go up to a cafeteria line and just get whatever I want and walk away without paying for anything. Or go to a the dining hall and order a million starters, entrees and desserts and say "Thank you" and off I go. Oh right. This is how the real world works. If you just came off a cruise, be ready to see the same people you were on the boat with at this location. Be nice to them. You'll never know when that person might come in handy during the zombie apocalypse. The location is a standard McDonald's. Not dirty, but not super clean. The staff is pretty average, nothing notable. The bathroom smells like disinfectant. There are plenty of seats. Perhaps I haven't been to a McD's in a while but their ketchup dispenser is just a pressurized spout. That was a little off-putting. read more

Let's get the the obvious out of the way.... it's McDonald's. If you're here reading a review for McDonald's, chances are you want to know how this one compares to the others. If you're American you know how they taste. This place is ALWAYS busy. I've never been passed this place and seen it without a line. It's the last food place you can stop by before crossing over to the island. That might be why. And the drive thru is 24 hours. I can't really vouch for the inside, as I've never stepped foot in it, just through the drive thru. The food taste the same, it isn't better or worse than any of the rest, but once they started rolling out with their all day breakfast menus is when then started messing up with my orders. Several times I would get the wrong mcmuffin. Not once. Not twice. Not thrice. Several. On one occasion I did notice my english muffin a little more burnt. Can't complain about the severs, they're actually pretty friendly. But for some reason they can't get my breakfast order right. Speaking of which, if you do order from the breakfast menu, it takes longer I've noticed. On 2 or more occasions I've had to park next to the side while they prepare my order. I'm hoping this has to do with the adjustment of serving an all day breakfast menu. I remember asking a long time ago why they never did it before, and they said because the breakfast items need a different cooking temperature than the burgers. Oh well. I hope they figured it out by now. Overall, it's just another McDonald's. Just make sure you check your order before you drive off. And make sure you have the right sauces you asked for. read more

After waiting for over half an hour my husband went inside the store to ask for our money back. They said they could not give us our money back because they had already BEGAN to make our food. Went here on Wednesday to get two cups of coffee. Got up to the drive thru window for maybe a couple of minutes when the girl say to pull over to the side mama. At the time it was 0656a. Waited and waited for two cups of coffee. O she did say they were making some. You'd think they would have coffee for that time of morning. So got out of my vehicle to see what was the hold up tapped on the door one girl raised her hand as if to say they coming. Went back to car waited another 3min,so went back and tapped again. Finally a young came stating that they were debating on who was going to bring the coffee out and fussing to me how Diane the manager was lazy. Didn't need to hear any of that just needed my two cups of coffee. Was on my way to a volunteer service, which I was late bc NoOne wanted to bring me my coffee that I paid for. Waited thirty minutes in line just to order (with only one car in front of me). Horrible. Wouldn't have waited if I didn't have kids with me and this being the only place around here open. I'm guessing there's only two people working. Took just as long to get food. I'll remember to stop somewhere else before I get back here again. Slow slow slow. This is horrible for even a McDonalds.
