I had a smooth pour over here and an unsweetened hibiscus tea both were delicious! They have a great variety here. They also have about 5 different loose leaf teas. You can basically build your own frappe type drink too and mix different flavors. They have homemade baked goods for sale. This is way better than other coffee shops and cheaper too! Highly recommend coming here. They are 100% non profit as well, everyone working here are volunteers. I can't believe there aren't more places like this. I hope this becomes a trend. Ok so I was over by the Mall of the Mainland scoping it out as my headquarters for the upcoming Zombie Apocalypse. It was a daunting task and I needed some caffeine to get me through. Using Yelp I was able to locate some caffeine at a place called Coffee Connection which was right next door. Its a simple place and it turns out is a non profit as well. All the employees are volunteers. Now they may not be Starbucks quality Baristas but they were extremely friendly and they made me a decent Cappuccino and my daughter a caramel Frappe. The prices were reasonable. It seems they have live music on some nights. All in all a nice place to get your caffeine fix and give back to the community. read more

This is a quiet place to stay, with a good atmosphere. They have a variety of drinks: lattes, espresso, americano, high quality coffee from different parts of the world, hot chocolate, Frappes with coffee or flavored, iced tea, many flavored tea, delicious smoothies, sodas and snacks to give you more options. Coffee Connection is absolutely wonderful. The volunteer staff members are kind and genuine. My mom and I tried this place for the first time this morning. We were pleasantly surprised and so grateful to have tried it. I highly recommend this place to any Galveston County locals. There are so many options and the coffee is absolutely amazing. Absolutely love this place! The staff is extremely friendly and the coffee is really good. I wish they had one on every corner so I didn't have to go to Starbucks when in a rush. I try to adventure out and try coffee at various restaurants and found this place on yelp. They were friendly and from what I learned they give all profits to charity. Also they don't push their religion on you which is important to a lot of people that are hesitant to try to places that are open about their religious stance. I actually drink mostly starbucks and some people love it and some don't but saying that I totally loved the frappe drink I got at the connection. Not sure if maybe the girl was new, but i ordered an iced vanilla latte, i wasn't able to taste it until i got on the road but it was so bad i didn't drink it and i poured it out. Definitely not a latte, i saw her pouring coffee from a pitcher, and had no flavor whatsoever and way too much milk. read more

While waiting for an appointment with the VA Clinic I wandered into the Coffee Connection, and discovered Coffee heaven. Coffee that is locally, freshly, roasted, and has a peacefu,l friendly atmosphere. Prices are amazingly inexpensive, and all profitsare donated to different charities each month (mostly local). I have discovered that the coffee in this little shop is far better than the franchise that will not be named, who do not support our military troops or allow guns in their stores. Either in Seattle or any other part of the country. You know the one with the little mermaid? Anyway, this coffee has all the flavor with none of the bitter taste if you would. Of course if you like the bitterness, they can accomidate. Many, many different flavors and styles of brewing. Some of the best esspresso I've ever had! Oh! I might add that the prices are very affordable. They don't like to tell you but if you can't afford something, you usually can here. They donate all their profits to local charities. Every month, a different one. And a special fund is set up for military veterans and police and 1st responders. FREE! But even though I am a veteran of the US Navy, I generally pay it forward anyway. Our real claim to fame is that we are a non- profit shop that is staffed by volunteers; our vision is to be an asset to our community by giving our profits away to help others. We are connecting with various non-profit ministries and organizations to help them continue to do what they do well.

Established in 2012.

A group of people from our church had the vision of a coffee shop that would enable us to supply great drinks while generating resources to help others. We built the shop out ourselves, and received training through an internationally certified barista trainer.

Meet the Manager: Tim F.

I have been a Pastor, a Superintendent of Operations, the administrator of a private school, and even a number of years as a volunteer firefighter. At Coffee Connection I am a working manager, I love to make drinks that bring a smile to the faces of our customers, and to chat about the issues of life.

The donuts are amazing. Truly the best I've had in years. But the real star of the show has got to be the breakfast tacos. For about $5 you can get the largest, most filling taco I have ever had. The flavor is out of this world. I don't live anywhere near here but it would be worth planning another epic road trip just to have another of these tacos.
