This is genuinely the worst mcdonald's have ever been to. They kicked me out for ZERO reason, food was awful my lettuce was brown and odd tasting. The service was awful one of the managers kicked me out for no reason and multiple staff were disrespectful while ordering. I have tried to use this restaurant on my way home from church on Sundays several times, arriving shortly after 11. Today, I gave up and walked out without ordering. The scene behind the counter always seems frantic. Perhaps the restaurant is always short-staffed. The manager seems to be trying to do a lot of the work by herself. There's just so much one person can handle. It takes longer than it should for someone to acknowledge a customer is standing at the counter ready to order. The employees behind the counter look right at the customer and then just look away as though he were invisible. The person who finally tries to take the order does not know how or doesn't know the menu and prices--or both. One of them overcharged me. When I questioned the price, I soon realized it would take more time and trouble than it was worth to get it corrected. I am fortunate that the restaurant closest to my home never seems to have such problems, but the Forty Foot Road location seems plagued with them. read more

Waited for over 25 minutes for breakfast order to just get it wrong. Manager kept looking at us, but didn't seem to care how long it was taking. There were about as many employees standing around not doing anything as those that were doing some work. Use McDonalds ALOT and usually don't give negative feedback, but this was absolutely a HORRIBLE experience!!! read more

After last night I need to update what I wrote about this particular restaurant because it's getting worse. It's McDonald's. We should know what to expect. The food quality is uniform that's its selling point if you don't like it, this ain't gonna change your mind because it's set. It is not haute cuisine it's McDonald's but individual places do have a vibe and this one has gone from 'don't care' to 'yeah, whatever.' More than once I've gone in for food to find the staff chatting away and not really noticing or caring there's a customer there. Weekends are even worse. I know most of these are kids in their first job but the abject failure of management to get them motivated shows. Now I'm sure this one survives on the business from the local high school just up the road so they probably don't care but in all honesty over the years this place has slid downhill. I use to say, not in cleanliness but I really don't think that applies any more. I went in last night, a Thursday, at around 6:40 and there were no customers waiting for food-which should warn you there's an issue here. Two women, who by no stretch of the language could be called "kids" and were by their uniform the counter staff, were looking into and talking to people in the kitchen area. I stood. I waited. I kept waiting. I'm pretty sure for all their attention I could have walked off with the counter displays or held the opening ceremony for a mime convention and they would have been oblivious. After several minutes of being ignored, of the staff not even looking to see if they had customer and, no other customers came in, I left and went elsewhere but not before I had a chance to look at the place, I knew what I wanted so there was no point in looking at the menu. The shake machine seemed to be in some distress with several paper cups balance on trays beneath the openings, as if there might be some leakage? Far worse though was the state of the floor. Not for the first time I saw there were a large number of spilled french fries on it and it would be only a small stretch of imagination to say it was carpeted in them. Certainly it would be hard to walk there without stepping on one and as I said this is not the first time this has been seen in this McDonald's. Likewise there was a small pile of unopened cartons of the dipping sauce on the floor in traffic areas. Now I don't for a moment think these fries were going to end up in anyone's dinner but the state of the floor speaks volumes for their food handling techniques and I'm pretty sure that does count as a health code issue and we can't say that those cartons of sauce won't be served. If not they are wasting a lot, if they are, THEY WERE ON THE FLOOR, around the spilled food. I use to use this place for a quick grab but no more. This has gone down hill and is sinking into the muck at the bottom. For staff service and basic cleanliness there are serious issues here and not only is there no sign of it being corrected there's every sign it's getting worse. There are other McDonald's nearby, Burger King, Wendy's. Go to one of those. This place just isn't worth the visit and would be something Ray Croc would be ashamed of. read more

Took a coupon to this location on my way to work at 6am to BOGO and the manager who says her name was MCKAYLA,refused to honor,although the store is 1 of 8 that the Kaplan Family owns.I asked this manager for Mr. Kaplan's business card and she refused.I then went to another store that is also owned by the Kaplan Family,and they not only accepted the coupon,but apologized to me and stated that the previous manager was totally wrong. This manager should be fired.Not suspended but fired,because she showed no professional skills at all. read more

Yesterday took the grandkids out to McDonalds. Of course they want to sit near the playground. There were a few benches in the back which they had signs don't sit here. So we found a table that was obviously dirty, Firs5 thing I had to do was wipe the top. Around the bottom on the floor someone had obviously spilled something and that was covered in napkins. so after wiping the table had to ask someone to please wipe the floor. The food is going downhill, always liked the quarter pounder, that was a dried piece of beef falling apart before I could eat it. If it was not for kids would never eat here. read more

This location does not have any sense of urgency. Waited a good 20+ minutes in the drive through for a simple meal. Drove up to the window to pay and saw workers just standing around not doing anything. I get it, some people dont have the skill to man the fryer or its not their job but management has got to do a better job in training, allocating tasks and actually managing their employees. When the drive thru line is going around the building for a lunch rush, there should be some type of protocol to prevent customers from leaving upset. I've never heard so many people honking in a drive thru line before. NOT a fast food location at all and corporate should probably step in and do something. read more

There is a McDonalds closer to where I live so I am not always passing this one, but on the off chance I'm coming down Sumneytown Pike or I'm at Weis I'll stop by. I'm not a fan of the narrow parking lot and narrow drive thru entrance, and the service to get the milkshakes ready was a bit slow. The food was decent and it got renovated so it looks nicer so that are both pluses. read more

Zero stars is the correct rating...Ordered food - different person came on speaker and asked a question I could not understand. Had to ask her to repeat it multiple times. Pulled up and paid for order - moved to picked up window. Person at this window looked at me and asked what did I order? I asked how do you not know since I just paid. He threw up his arms and pointed at the monitor. A different person comes to the window and asks the same question. I had to remember the 10 things we ordered. Received order - was missing items. Asked for the missing items and person threw their hands up like it was my fault. I get errors happen but in the end there was no sorry or any type of apology. Let me set the scene first; it's before the rooster is up, I'm picking up my mom at the airport and I forgot to grab my protein shake. I pull up to the McDonald's drive thru and I'm quickly greeted by a cheerful woman. She takes my order, at the window for the money I see her computer is clearly acting up. She handled it like a champ and with a bright smile. Computer issue fixed, she must be the only person there this early because she meets me at the next window. Here I can clearly see the mechanical drink machine has hulk smashed the cups and is beeping up a storm and refusing to spit out my much needed morning coke. Still keeping her cool she takes a cup to the self serve machine in the dining area, gets my drink and gives me my perfectly made sandwich and with a smile we exchange good byes and have a great days. I wish her name was on my receipt because that lady is what service should be like! On a separate note this McDonald's is my normal one and they do typically have good service. They forget you need a straw with your frappe sometimes and I rarely get a centered burger, but still above average. read more

Over the past few years this McDonalds has gotten worse and worse. On November 26 I visited the drive through for what I thought was a qick meal. There were around 8 cars in line must have sat there for 15 -20 minutes or longer. Finally got up to the window to pay but no one was there! So I beeped the horn and someone finally came and took the money but no excuse or apology for the long wait. Many Of the employees act like you are doing them a favor. Terrible attitudes and long waits. Was there again ( inisde) over last weekend to the tune of employees yelling at each other, and long waits for food. I will be going somewhere else where the service and people are reasonable. read more

Please be aware of the price switch that a certain manager there knows about but won't honor. They display one price on the drive thru menu and then charge a different higher price when you get to the window, bait and switch. When i called the manager out on it he got angry and threatening. We actually got into a verbal back and forth. I mentioned he should honor what's listed. I could not believe he was representing one of America's largest corporations. I haven't seen him in awhile so maybe they canned him. I won't go back because he's a loose cannon and he's scary. read more

My boyfriend and I went here last night for dinner and the customer service was ridiculously bad. I'm usually not one to complain about any type of service even if it is bad but this crossed a line. While my bf was ordering his food the lady taking our order (ig she was a manager idk she had purple hair in a ponytail) she gave him the most attitude and was like "IS THAT ALL?" while looking like it's the last thing she wanted to be doing. While I hadn't ordered my food yet, she gave us the total and I just paid. So because she was in such a rush for no reason, I had to go back up and make a second order just because I wasn't able to order my food. Then as we sat down she basically told us they were closing which was fine and she told us we could eat real quick but then she kept walking back to the section we were sitting in, making us feel disturbed and uncomfortable and rushed, forcing us to take our dinner to the car. The food was fine but I was very disappointed by the interaction between ourselves and the employee. read more

The food is good and most of the employees seem nice, but the one guy working there named "Alex" or something similar (has huge ugly spiked up hair) is one of the rudest people I've ever come across. Treated his employees lower than dirt and was quite rude to me and my family. read more
