My son and I were looking for a local pub where we could enjoy a decent sandwich and an adult beverage. We happened upon Stove and Tap, and are very pleased that we did! We both found beverages and food that suited our preferences (it should be noted that the menu offers a variety of options). My son declared that his burger was one of the best he has ever had! He said it was perfectly cooked and required no additional condiments to be added. I enjoyed my turkey club, but I think a more accurate name would be " Turkey Blt with Avocado on Ciabatta" because that is what the sandwich is. Regardless, I would order it again. We ordered the pork belly bao buns for an app. The pork was painfully dry and the buns themselves were also dry and brittle. We do not recommend at all. I got the mussels in white wine broth with pasta. The broth was bland and mussels weren't to die for, but overall I enjoyed and the portion size was truly insane. My husband got the shepards pie and it was the best shepards pie either of us have ever had. Would be open to trying again but hope the food quality is more consistent next time. read more

We stopped into Stove & Tap on Monday, January 26, 2025 after being snowed in for two days. We needed to get out of the house! We go to Stove & Tap often, but this was our first time visiting during happy hour, and it was a welcomed surprise. A solid selection of appetizers at reasonable prices, and everything we tried was good. I ordered the deviled eggs, a slider, and a shrimp skewer. My wife went with the turkey club, which she really enjoyed. Sitting at the bar made for quick service, and the bartender was friendly and attentive, which always makes a difference. We'll definitely keep Stove & Tap in mind as an easy after-work stop to take advantage of their happy hour. The food was good but the service was very lackluster. We had a party of 7 with automatic gratuity and it showed in our dismissive service. We ordered a chowder that was apparently tomato based and the server did not notice or care that she took away a full bowl of soup. Stopped here on a friends recommendation. The inside is spacious with high patterned ceilings, hardwood floors, porcelain hex tiles under the bar stools (nice touch), a mantle with bookshelf and mirror near the entrance and a gorgeous antique style front and back bar really enhanced the throwback ambiance. The staff was friendly and prompt. They gave my son some crayons and a Winter themed coloring page that doubled as a kids menu. At four the kid colors way better than I ever did! The kids menu had all the usual suspects: chicken fingers, burger, mac & cheese, grilled cheese, cheese quesadilla and buttered pasta. All the meals come with french fries, celery & carrot sticks, sliced fruit (oranges) & dessert (choc chip cookie) for $10. That's a pretty good deal. Shame they overcooked my sons burger! On the regular menu they have an mix of classic brunch/breakfast offerings, sandwiches, apps and soups/salad. My buddy ordered the brisket mac n cheese at $13 and ate about half. He said it was good. We split an order of Smoked Chicken Wings - $16 hot, Korean bbq or sticky garlic. The server recommended the house 'Stove sauce' on them instead which we did. You only get six wings in an order (they put a seventh on). Didn't detect any smoke, but the meat was fresh, fall off the bone, decent portion size and the sauce was tasty. I'm not sure what they put on the side, but it was some sort of garlicy blue cheese. I had the Wagyu sliders at $19 gruyere, caramelized onions and truffle aioli. They were a small portion, but loaded with flavor and delicious beef. My buddy had the Brisket Dip $19 slow roasted brisket, cooper sharp, horseradish sauce, beef jus... served with fries or salad. He said it was good, but needed more horseradish. Beer wise they had twelve taps which was about half represented by IPA's. I enjoyed a 12oz pour of local von C Stony Creek East Coast IPA $7 and a Fat Head's Head Hunter $8. Both were extremely fresh and delicious. The prices are a bit high for the portion size, the beer prices are average for craft. The kids burger being charred was inexcusable, but the cookie made my son forget that happened. We had a great experience at Stove and Tap! We made reservations through Resy, which is recommended at busy times. They have a good selection of wines, beers and cocktails. I got their margarita and my husband got a beer. Our server, Mercedes, was great. For food, we got two appetizers: the burrata and the bao buns. The burrata came with perfectly toasted garlic bread. It was delicious! The bao buns could have had more pork belly (there was a tiny piece in each one), but the flavor was great. We shared the brisket dip sandwich, and it was very good! We love salt and seasonings, but the sprouts were to the point that they hurt to eat. We took them home, and the next day roasted an entire butternut squash with no salt (just olive oil and black pepper) and mixed with the leftover sprouts and that was delicious and the salt leveled out. The Korean bbq wing sauce was fine. I would get a different flavor next time. Deviled eggs were good. And the Cesar salad, pear salad, and tomato soup were also good. Nothing remarkable. The food came out very fast and our server was incredibly nice and attentive. I'd definitely get the max and cheese next time. Perfectly cooked and flavorful. The biggest disappointment was the service. Very lackluster. For a quiet evening, there were only 4 others at the bar and we sat and waited 15 mins after our glasses were empty and food was finished before someone asked if we wanted to order more. I had the Parmesan encrusted salmon entree and it was OUTSTANDING but I like salmon so I am a little biased toward salmon! The seasoning was very flavorful and tasty. Even the pasta on the entree plate was excellent and again very well seasoned and tasty but a seasoning that was different ffom the seasoning on the salmon. We had no special service needs from Bethany but her service was also very good. My wife had tuna seared tacos and they were a very nice blend of flavors. Would have to say the brisket Mac and cheese was probably my favorite out of what we had, and we did have leftover Mac and fries among making these a full meal for both of us. This place is a cute little gastropub on the corner of the main drag in Lansdale. We came for a late lunch, so the restaurant wasn't packed. Due to this, the food came out hot and quick. We had the deviled egg appetizer. It was tasty, but I was bummed at the quality of the product. 2 whole eggs cut in half was $7. For our main dishes we ordered the 2/$17 combo. Well worth the price. I had the French dip with Caesar salad. The bread was crisp and the meat was soft and full of horseradish spread. I am not a fan of tomato's in Caesar salad. I think they don't belong, however in this particular salad I didn't mind it. My husband has the crab and potato soup and he was amazed with how good it was. We can't wait to come back. read more

TDLR: Great service, great drinks, great happy hour prices (ask for hh when you reserve/walk in, it is only available in certain spots) We went for happy hour after work and were pleasantly surprised by the lovely staff and atmosphere. Our waiter seated us at the high tops and took our IDs and later gave me a free drink because we share a birthday (taurus twins!). We ordered the house cabernet, the moscow mule and the margarita. All three were yummy and I was FEELING the happy in happy hour! From the happy hour menu we got the spinach and bacon flatbread and the loaded fries. The flatbread was fantastic, the cheese was ooey-gooey (great cheese pull, wish I got pics!) and definitely satisfied my happy hour craving. The fries were filling, they came with shredded pork I believe and cheese. I fished around for the un-loaded ones to dip in our side of ketchup. We stayed and enjoyed the lively atmosphere and our waiter came back to check if we wanted last call for happy hour prices. As we chatted, we heard the start of live music (fun surprise!). They had a live singer / guitarist jamming to some tunes which fit the vibe. Note: Happy hour is only available in certain areas of the restaurant, I think they said high tops and bar for sure. I just went here for lunch with my Grandpa and my mom today. This was my first time here but my mom has been here a few times and always enjoyed the burger. My Grandpa arrived early and was already seated but we couldn't see him. The hostess took quite a long time to acknowledge us and then direct us to his table. We felt ignored. There were waters already on the table waiting for us. We looked over the menu and had to flag our waiter over. Orders included: the mushroom soup, the turkey BLT and the Brisket dip. There was another table that arrived after us. They ordered an app and had their food made way before ours came so I am not sure what was going on with our service. The food came out and everyone was enjoying their sandwiches. However, my soup was lukewarm so I asked them to send it back and heat it up. The soup came out nice and hot. Well as I was eating my soup, I noticed there were pieces of plastic in my soup! Can you believe it? I brought this to our waiter's attention and he took the bowl away right away. He then informed us that the manager would be out in a "few seconds." At least 10 minutes went by and we had to flag our waiter over to get the bill because we had to go. He came over and said the manager was too busy to meet with us. We were in total disbelief. How is a manager too busy to meet with his paying customers that could have choked on some plastic? The waiter then said they would take the soup off the bill.... should have had the whole meal comped. What an awful experience and I won't recommend coming here. read more
