As an employee of Lowell McDonald's (for almost 2 years), and as a long-term customer, I must say I have found several reviews of my work both comical and distasteful. Many reviews are based on assumptions rather than accurate knowledge. One customer posted that a manager, at 10:30 pm, claimed (via drive thru speaker) they were the only manager in the store. This is a fact. This customer also wrote they saw a manager at the first window. This manager was either the SAME PERSON or the customer doesn't realize what a manager is. Either way, this customer's claim is not valid as we ALWAYS, and I mean ALWAYS, have just one manager after 7 pm. Another complaint was of bone in a McChicken. This really made me laugh. The McChicken is a completely boneless patty. There are no bones in any of the products in our store. This claim is a blatant lie. I do realize it's a McDonald's. We don't serve the highest quality food. That's a given and you decide to buy it. We all try our best to provide customers with satisfactory food, even the customers who we can never please. As an employee I've seen plenty of customers who lie to get more food or falsely complain in order to get a refund. 99% of our customers don't get the wrong order, but no one posts about good service and food because no one ever cares when we do things right. So don't assume that we are all terrible or that our food is bad, based on the few incorrect ravings of unhappy customers. Personally, I believe most of our food tastes good. We are faster than our nearest competitor, Burger King. Yes, we make mistakes, but I've never, ever, even before I began work at McDonald's, gotten the wrong order. read more

It seems like every time we go there are order is wrong to the point where the franchise owner can that's how come I know his name is name is Ken I'm not going to say his last name let's try to make it up to me with giving me food that was made wrong for free but you know it comes to a point where you tell a person how you want your food and it don't make it right and it literally leaves a bad taste in your mouth you got to scratch your head and say why the hell am I spending my money here. More to the point is when you order a quarter pounder and you tell him you just want ketchup no pickle no onion especially no cheese and you get home and it has everything on it and you can't eat it because you're cheese is dairy and you have a problem with dairy and you can't scrape it off then that's a big problem and you go take it back can you get attitude. I'm not paying for attitude I'm paying for you to make it like I want it. the funny thing to me is these people want $15 an hour you got to be freaking kidding me you better be lucky that you're making what you're making. read more

I was in a hurry and opted for a quick meal at McDonalds. It was aroind 7 PM anf I wad not sure they were open, as there did not appear to be any lights on in the lobby. After driving to the order station and waiting more than 5 minites with no response I decided to leave. When driving by the payment window I saw an employee just hanging out I asked if they were open and she responded yes and said she could take my order I then gave her an order for the special for $3 which included one sandwich and another one for $1, small fries and a coke slush. I paid by card and advised I did not need a receipt. As I drove away she advised the total was $15. Unfortunately, I paid little attention. I picked up my order. When arriving home, I realized there were three sandwichs, one at full price. Other than the fact that the order was far more than I expected to pay, the three sandwiches wete unedible. They were tasteless, cold and had no condiments on them at all. The whole time I was on site at McDonalds, I was the only customer. When driving out, I noticed a line of car across the street at Lowell's newest fast food restaurant. I now know why. I will never return to a McDonalds again! The experience I had at this location is enough for me to never go back. It's more than enough for me to drive the extra miles living in Lowell, to Greenville, to go to a place where customer satisfaction and common decency is offered. I had ordered a large fry and thankfully I checked the bag before getting home this time, and yes by this time I mean this is not the first time this has happened to me. My large fry was filled halfway, so I went back to McDonald's expecting to be given a large fry (filled the way it's suppose to be) for free. Instead, I was appalled at the accusations put on me by one of your shaggy haired workers when I was only trying to communicate an error with him. I myself have worked in customer service, but other than that I have the common sense not to argue with a customer at my place of employment. He asked me for my bag, so I handed it to him where he then went through it with his bare hands. Then, he proceeded to hand me my bag back and told me he didn't have proof I didn't just eat the fries, and come back to get more for free. I am absolutely shocked by the lack of following COVID protocols. I mean where did he think I wanted it back after he sifted through it with his bare hands? Kinda weirded out they have a "floor" employee that brings you your food, checks on you, asks if she can bring you anything or clear anything. Nice I guess, but when I come to McDonald's I don't want to be waited on like that lol. Play area is a lot nicer than what we're used to (coming from wayland/Dorr). read more

This is one place my granddaughter wants to go when she comes to visit. We ate there several times last summer. The last 3 visits showed the lack of attention given to the eating areas. Given the small number of diners, there should have been time to wipe down all the tables and seats. It took several minutes to find someone to do it. Even then, the job was poorly done. We ate quickly and left. The last visit was the deal breaker. The bathrooms....need I say more? Haven't been back since. read more

I went to this Mc Donalds on 2/11/20, I decided to order a Big Mac since I haven't had one in years and a med fry, it was pretty bad and I loved the guy that after I waited 10 minutes at the window the guy opened the window and said "here" and handed me a bag, I had to look to see if my order was in there. I got home and the Big Mac was so dry I threw it away, and of course the fries were cold, but they always are. There are other fast food options in Lowell so I think I'll give up on Mc Donalds. read more

I am mad. The initial manager was incredibly rude. Upon arriving the drive thru, we were greeted with a "Good Morning. What would you like to order?" at 11:00PM !!! I am offended that they didn't even know what time of day it was. After my colleague ordered her 20 chicken nuggets, the manager promptly asked "What dipping sauce would you like with that?" My colleague misheard and replied with "a bottle of H2O." The manager got snippy and said "You want a bottle of water for your dipping sauce" in an absurdly sarcastic tone. She then asked if we needed anything else added to our order, but abruptly and rudely cut my colleague off and said "I am the only manager on duty and I have to answer the phone." After our order, we went to go pay and the manager was hanging dangerously halfway outside of the paying window, like a vulture, for us to pay for our order. She greedily grabbed our money and we pulled up to the food window. This proved that we were blatantly lied to about only having one manager on duty, and I did not appreciate it. There were clearly 2 managers !!! And the second manager was rude as well considering the second she opened the window she said "Your order is clearly going to take a minute so it's going to be a wait." I did not appreciate the implication that my oder was too complicated. I was not impressed. This also was not a "fast food" type of wait, this was a "5-star restaurant" wait. I will absolutely not go to this McDonalds again if I have another experience like this. I am not the type to curse, but what a shitty management staff. I feel embarrassed for my colleague, and I felt as if I wasn't welcome. I only hope that the day time managers are better. read more

What can you say about McDonald's? It's a place that serves something for everyone, with a range of prices. This location remodeled a few years ago. Although there is now less seating than previous, it is still adequate. The atmosphere is full of rich colors and modern touches, like lighting fixtures, architechtural touches, etc. Oh and there's the "fireplace". Compared to other restaurants in town, this location is quite efficient and quick. Rarely do you wait more than a few minutes for your food. Thumbs up from me. Also, there is the play area for kids. Not that I have any or even use this part of the restaurant, during the day it seems there are dozens of kids there. If you asked them, they'd probably give a thumbs up too. read more

Upon arriving to McDonald's we were promptly greeted with a "Good morning!" when it was 10:30 p.m. I ordered a 20 piece Chicken McNugget and when she asked me what I'd like for a dipping sauce I thought she was asking me what I'd like to drink so I said a bottle of water and she asked sarcastically "You'd like a bottle of water for your dipping sauce?" I, being very confused, corrected myself and said I would like sweet and sour sauce and a bottle of water to drink. Then she asked in a very rude tone if I'd like anything else and right before I could answer she told me to hold on because she is the only manager on duty and she has to answer the phone. We pulled up to the next window and I clearly saw there were three people working inside two of them being managers, so she lied to me and I don't like liars. We waited at least five minutes for our fast food. Doesn't seem very fast to me noW does it. Thanks a lot McDonalds. YOU ruined my night and YOU embarrassed me in front my colleague. read more

Every time I come here the employees are rude, my order is never how I've asked for it. I'm always getting cold/ room temperatures food, if I ask for everything to be dropped fresh maybe will I get one thing that's fresh and hot. I'll ask for a dr. Pepper and I'll be given a cola. I have never done a Zero star before but we just went through the drive-in at this McDonald's and I had to report this. First, the recorded voice came on so my husband starting telling his order. Then a voice came on that said "I'll be with you in a minute". We decided just to get a free frappe that I had on my app instead of ordering something else. Then when we pulled up to the window to pay, the cashier tried to scan the app but told us that he didn't think it would work. We asked him to just punch in the code as we know others have done. He said he had to get a manager, git this young woman who then told him that if the scanner didn't work, that they couldn't keep discounting food. When I asked her about hand punching the code in, she said that she couldn't do that. We could see the frappe made already in the next window but she wouldn't change her answer. Conserding it's McDonalds it is actually kind of decent. They have expanded their menu to include some less unhealthy options and the one in Lowell has been renovated recently and has a warmer feeling than most I've been in. I seem to find myself going to McDonalds about once a year and this is one of the nicest around. read more

First off this McDonald's is the slowest McDonald's I have ever been too. It took almost 20 mins to get a order that wasn't big at all. And when I got home the fries was cold, the meat on on sandwich was dry and ruff the cheese was hard the bun was burnt. The other burgers was told no onions but there was onions on them and the last burger (McChicken) it was cold the lettuce was Brown. The employees are not overly friendly and the place is dirty. The family restroom in the play area is gross.

We went in with a coupon tonight for buy one frozen drink get one free. No where on the companies website, nor anywhere on the coupon was it mentioned that the coupon had to be printed in color to be valid, however when we attempted to use it, we were refused because of this. They claimed it was the managers rule. When we questioned it and pointed out that no where on the coupon was that requirement mentioned, the simply shrugged it off and basically gave us a "too bad for you" attitude. Very poor customer service. When I requested the General Managers contact information, they refused and instead gave me a number for a general line. This is not acceptable and I will make this information known. read more
