This place deserves 0 stars! How the manager has let this place get so awful, I'll never understand. Flies are EVERYWHERE! They have fly glue strips hanging right above the sink in the women's bathroom and dead flies all in the corners of both men's and women's. Flies all throughout the lobby and you can see them all in the kitchen. Floors do not look to be properly mopped and sticky as hell. Crew was not friendly at all except for a poor old man who was the cashier. Younger gentleman was making food and saw we had been standing there for a while, asked if we were waiting on food but before we could answer, he walked away and ignored us. The soda fountain was not draining from where people dumped their drinks so sodas were just piling up. Will NEVER go back on my trips to Maryland. read more

Night crew needs to get it together at least morning crew and afternoon crew as a brain. The GM should be ashamed of himself. If I had to rate this place it would be -5 stars as far as the night crew crew when it comes to the morning/afternoon crew they do an outstanding job. read more

It works for "basic purposes." Very friendly staff here. The employees have often been here for some time, which is nice because turnover is a real issue. Always am greeted cheerfully here, and I do think the employees make it happier. A cozy dining area, although considering its proximity to tourist spots, adding on would probably be a good idea. Usually go here for breakfast, yet have done all meals. As we all know, the Golden Arches isn't exciting. Yet for a quick meal it works. The drive thru can be really busy here. The staff do their best, but it can be quite a wait. A lot of it again, is it's a tourist heavy area. Thank you for the nice breakfast a couple days ago. read more

This is, without doubt, the worst McDonalds I have ever been in. It took us almost 30 minutes to get our food. McChicken and McNuggets. Really tough order to fill, huh? Un-Mcfriggin-believable. First of all, I am a former McDonalds employee. Granted, that was over 40 years ago, but I know what the franchise expects from their employees. If you enter any McDonalds anywhere in the world, you should have the same acceptable experience and the same quality of food. This particular store never got that memo. In fact, this is the store that Seinfeld's George Castanza would say does the exact OPPOSITE of everything that should be done. It is an awful place. The restroom was unusable and disgusting. The manager was not managing. There is a lack of urgency in their approach to their customers. They clearly don't care about what they are doing. It is pathetic. Please wash the blender between uses. Don't dig through your McHair when making (or not making) my McFood. There is food in the kitchen begging to be served. We can see it back there....you aren't fooling us. Oh....and clean up the flood of urine standing in your restroom. DO NOT come to this particular location. It should be closed, condemned and shuttered forever. If you go here, be warned that you will never be the same person as when you entered. This McDonalds will carve out your soul and fill you with hopelessness. What a fiasco. I was going through the drive through at 7:37 on Friday, and guess what time I left? 8:04! I was waiting in the drive through for 24 MINUTES. First off they only had one working window, so I just assumed that was why they were so slow. I was incorrect. I proceeded to sit there and wait. The car in front of me got to the one working window and waited there for a few minutes then paid. Then they were told to into a parking space to wait for their order. When I pulled up to the window they asked me what I ordered, and it shocked me how they couldn't keep track of my little order. I noticed that they were doing this to everyone and I was utterly shocked. I paid and they told me to move into a parking space as well to wait for the rest of my order. As I was sitting in the parking lot watching the car that was behind me at the window, I saw that they received their order within 5 minutes of sitting there and drove away. I brushed it off containing my anger, but the car behind them had a BIGGER order than I did and waited for about 2-3 minutes then got their whole order (which was several bags) and drive away as well. At that point I was just sitting there watching all of these cars drive away and then I realized that I had been waiting for about 20 minutes. I knew they forgot about me and the other car in the parking space due to the cars behind us were receiving their orders and we were just sitting there. I went inside to try to get help, but NO ONE WAS AT THE COUNTER. They were all focused on the present cars in the drive through. People started to go up to the counter too and people weren't even forming a line, just a crowd. Once the employees noticed they did start to help, but at an extremely slow pace. They were asking what everyone order and all of that, so I just left. I couldn't wait any longer because I had a job to be at. I already do not make much money so this was detrimental to me. It was supposed to be my breakfast and lunch so I felt starved. I felt robbed. I am surprised people still go to that rubbish, garbage, dump of a building. If you can't run the business right, do not have it at all! Period! Stay away from these shady businesses guys and be safe out there! read more

I have been so tired of the McDonald's around home having terrible wait times and sloppy service. This place rocks. Was packed drive Thru and inside. Ordered off kiosk with 5 kids and special orders. The order was 100 percent accurate and the employees were courteous and friendly and had great attitudes. Great job. Thank you for good management and caring. read more

When Burger King across the street closed down, you would think that this McDonalds would have used this as an opportunity to dominate by offering great customer service and good food. Instead they posted a tasteless message on their sign, that said "Bye BK" and have messed up every single order we have paid for. No one should have to drive 20 minutes back to the store because their order was incorrect and then have it messed up again. It takes a lot for me as a customer to leave a negative review, but I'm done giving them any of my money. read more

For something as basic as "NO CHEESE " on a double hamburger, clearly the person who took my order wasn't listening or just playing around too much. Going through drive thru and order a McChicken had to wait 10 mins for my food unwrapped my McChicken and there was no bun on it . Really I have worked in fast food that's poor leadership and the fact that the manager was the one banging up the food is unreal that she couldn't tell there was something wrong with the sandwich. read more

Service was fine but as has been noted in previous reviews there are lots and lots of flies in dining room, bathroom, etc. urinal was not working and flooded the bathroom. Needs some attention to cleaniness read more

Overall, staff was friendly and I received my order quickly but there are sooooo many flies in the bathrooms and a few out in the lobby as well. So nasty and not appetizing. I do not recommend stopping here. read more

This McDonald's was a disappointment. The counter woman was nice but the food was pretty gross. The fish sandwich sauce was watery and did not smell fresh. The hamburger meat was tough. This place would not serve me because of my skin color. I was driving back from college and missed the JMU exit so I decided to stop by here. When I arrived to the drive through, no one was responding so I thought maybe it was closed. Mind you though I saw a car in front of me get their food and leave. As I was driving away, I saw that the drive through windows were open and people were ordering inside. I drive by the window where there was a white man there. I kept saying hello so talk to him and ask if the dive through was not operating but he turned his face around and closed the window and walked away. I did not have the energy to walk out of the car and go inside the store but if I did best believe I would've gone inside that kitchen and made my own food. read more

Stayed in New Market for a little while, upon entering the McDonald's, it was visually dirty. The tables weren't wiped down and the trash cans were overflowing. We walked up to the counter, the girl who was taking orders came off rude. She didn't smile and seemed annoyed to be there. After we got our food and went back to our motel we noticed that our whole order had been messed up. They completely ignored our meal alterations and not only THAT, they didn't even give us our nuggets but when they did, they were old. Not sure if it was busy or they were short-staffed, but we waited forever the drive-through, and there was only one car ahead of us. And then after that car, we still waited for a bit more, and the lady forgot to give us the receipt. But she seemed flustered already so no biggie. Anyways, we got the McDouble and an oatmeal, both of which, were fine. Just something to hold us over for the long ride home. In any case, the lady was really nice though. Scary place! I wish that I could give it no stars. One of the women preparing food was wearing her mask around her chin and several had masks below their noses. They got our orders entirely wrong (missing a drink, no straw, no napkins, no ketchup). We were in the car by the time we discovered their mistakes and no way were we going back inside. read more

I've ordered from here a few times since it is basically the only fast food in New Market. The service is ok, but they have screwed me over by not giving me the food I ordered multiple times and giving me the wrong food. One time they asked if I wanted a receipt and I said no, that time I drove off without checking my food and when I got home I was missing two orders! It seemed like they tried to pull a fast one on me because I said I didn't want the receipt. The food usually never hot either. They needa get their sh*t together! read more

Only 1-2 employees was wearing a mask or gloves. Most of the employees was not wearing a mask at all or if they were wearing a mask, they did not wear the properly. Some of the employees adjusted the mask after I was waiting to order. read more

I know it's just McDonald's but the least you can do is serve good tasting food smh. The fries tasted like sticks of cardboard with the bare minimum of salt you could possibly get outside of bone at all and my quarter pounder tasted like nothing. After a rather extensive order for my family at the counter, The employee asked that I reinsert my credit card for a refund transaction. Ok...no explanation, but done. When we sorted out the order at our slimy filthy table, It was apparent that our order for chicken tenders was not included. I again waited in line fir an explanation, and was told, "tenders won't be available for 45 minutes." No other offer of assistance etc. So I politely asked if could make an order my my entree, and the employee said, "go ahead...do you want nuggets instead?" Why wouldn't he have given this info at the time of the original order??? When I finally received my order and was able to join my family, I found that there was no ketchup included. I scoured the condiment bar, but found none available there. I dutifully returned to the back of the line, and cycled through to the same smug counter employee, and asked for ketchup please. He responded, "Its at the condiment bar". I told him that there was none there, so he then disgustedly left his post to inspect it himself. Finding none, he then marched back behind the front counter, grabbed a black bin, and set it on the counter for me to presumably take some packets. No apology offered. This is hands-down the worst McDonald's visit I have endured. The service, cleanliness, and availability of product is pathetic, and far below any other franchise I have visited.
