This review is honestly less about McDonald's itself and more about what I got, because listen... the Grinch Meal?! So cute. McDonald's partnered with The Grinch this holiday season, and I had to try it. I was genuinely excited. You get the option of nuggets or a Big Mac, fries, and the fun part--your fries come with this dill pickle shaker. And let me tell you, that shaker was EVERYTHING. It gave the fries this really good, almost parmesan-style flavor, and I loved it way more than I expected. The nuggets were crispy and good, no complaints there. The box itself was festive and fun, and the Happy Meal "toy" was Grinch socks, which honestly felt like a little adult Happy Meal moment--and I was here for it. The socks were a cute bonus, but overall the meal itself was just fun and festive. It felt like a holiday moment. Now, about this McDonald's location in general--I come here all the time with my son after school (what kid doesn't love McDonald's?). The atmosphere is pretty chill. The music is always bumping--lots of reggaeton since you're right near Spanish Harlem--which honestly adds to the vibe. That said, it could be cleaner, and there isn't a lot of seating. Tables fill up fast, so you're either sharing space or waiting for someone to leave. Usually, it works out because it's very much a neighborhood spot--you see families, friends, middle school kids, all of that. Service is hit or miss. Sometimes it's a little slow, sometimes it's on point. But if you're a regular and they recognize you, things definitely move faster. Overall, the Grinch Meal was a win--cute, fun, and tasty. Convenient location when in the area and close to the train station. Service is quick when not during high peak hours. Order via mobile for pick up, through the kiosk or at the counter. If you have the app, you can earn points with every order. Prices have gone up but there are special deals. They do have special deals based on sports teams wins...sign up if you haven't. Just finished a month of playing McDonald's Monopoly where you can win prizes including food, points and more... been awhile since eating McD's but always good have have once in awhile... fries are good. I'm not sure what all the hate is about - this tiny Mcdonald's is bustling. With the new Mcdonald's app and the pickup option, this is really great for a quick to-go option. I ordered a double cheeseburger and got a free medium fries through the app, paid less than $3, and was able to pick up my food within minutes. I was surprised that they didn't include ketchup with my order and there was no ketchup anywhere around, but the fries were fresh and crispy so I didn't really need it after all. read more

I am reviewing McDonald's today. Everyone knows what it tastes like. Like America. It tastes no different from every McDonald's I've been to. It is reasonably priced for Manhattan standards. The Big Mac tastes like every Big Mac I've eaten. The fries were decent. The mcnuggets were good. Ambiance is full of freedom and capitalism. It wasn't that busy so it didn't take me that long to get my food. I didn't stay to eat but I can tell it's not the cleanest mcdonald out there. So in conclusions, if you're craving mcdonalds then this is a fine place to go to. If you want better burgers and fries, I would go elsewhere. read more

I usually get McDonald's food delivered from 3rd Ave. & 103rd St. Or I pick it up at 3rd Ave & 84th St. or B'way & 96th St. Today the only McDonald's delivery available was from this restaurant. It would be difficult to mess up this order more than they did today. I asked for no cheese on my double quarter pounder. I texted the delivery person and asked him to please make sure there is no cheese. I ordered a smoothie and an ice cream. The burger came with cheese slathered all over both burgers and the smoothie and ice cream were both missing. The restaurant refused to resend the order. I did get a refund for the 3 items but my wife got no food so I had to order from Joy Burger instead. read more

This McDonald's has received some considerable improvements in the last couple of months, which is why I am giving it an updated score of two stars instead of my original score of one. Here are some of the new features I noticed: - Considerable technology improvements, including a screen to track your order and a separate touch screen ordering system - Getting a functioning display TV after the old one had a bullet hole from being shot - The workers have been getting orders correct at a much higher, but still abysmal rate - The floor and cracks are no longer grimy with shit and crack cocaine, and there are no longer tiny shot size bottles of hard liquor lying around - There is no longer a homeless guy bothering you at the door and asking for money so he can buy crack. There have also been some sad changes, most notably in the McDonald's rewards and deals app. - There is no longer the deal of a free 6-piece chicken nugget with any purchase. I used to stop by every evening and buy a $1 large soda, then get the 6 piece. Now I do not come as often. - The buy one get one free McCafe is now no longer buy one get one free, but buy one get one for 1 cent. This may seem like a minuscule change but now toppings and add-ons costs at least 50 cents extra each. I used to be able to add unlimited chocolate syrup, caramel, extra whipped cream, etc., but now doing so would result in me paying $20 for the McCafe's when I used to be able to get them for $3-4. Now it is only possible to add an extra drizzle of strawberry syrup, and when I asked for it, they didn't even have any. Disappointing. But overall, good changes. read more

Food Poisoning, I eat here on a regular basis and never had a problem. On Saturday, 5/13/22 I ordered 2 sausage egg and cheese and 2 apple pies. I became Violently I'll about 4 hours later. We all know what happens when you are poisoned by food. Well, it was about 3 in the morning the next day when I was able to hold liquids but I couldn't get out of bed until today, 5/15/22. I've only been here during lunch hours and it can get a big crowded. Yet I think the manager here is quite good because she helped me resolve an issue. I had ordered an iced coffee one day and asked for very little ice, since it was still cold outside. When I left and started drinking my coffee I noticed more than half the cup was filled with ice so I was a little upset. I ended up going back and asking if something could be done, I showed my receipt that stated 'little ice.' The manager was polite and offered me a replacement coffee. Has yet to get a single of my orders correct. If I say no onions I get extra. I say add shredded lettuce I get lettuce leaves. Half the time I don't receive my drink and have never received any condiments I asked for. Idk how y'all can stay in business with people who obviously don't care about the customer.
