This location is about a half mile from my apartment. When I'm visiting the Conservatory Gardens or the nearby museums I sometimes come here for brunch. My favorite is the big breakfast. I'm known for completing a survey to get free cookies. They're fresh baked daily. The food is fast and service with a smile. It's typical McDonald's. It's Hit or Miss regarding cleanliness. On 9/11/2023 I visited McDonald'. I had an excellent welcome treatment. I felt very special when I did my order which it was # 130. Then I had this cleaning agent in the place that was making sure that all areas were cleaned.I wanted to use to the restroom. Carlos is Performance Excellence! All I know is that every time I visit the McDonalds on 103 and 3rd Avenue, and Carlos happens to be at the counter taking my order, my day has become brighter. Besides getting the order right, I am one of those people who are a little extra (as my daughter would say)  . I never really like things they way they are when it comes to food. This McDonald's location is rated higher in my opinion based on consistency. Orders are made quickly and on time. Good quality is good and what you would expect from a well run McDonald's location. The dining area and bathroom is currently closed due to CoVID restrictions. I suggest placing a mobile order to avoid having to stand in line. Mobile kiosks are available to order at as well. The staff are friendly in my experience. This is a predominantly Spanish location so the staff are equipped to communicate in both English and Spanish. Love this! Everytime I order from this location, they always forget to put my items in the bag. How hard is it to check the order before its sent out?? This particular order they didn't put 3 burgers in the bag, the last time they forgot my kids nuggets. Stopped in for breakfast yesterday morning. It was bustiling. I was wondering why are all these school kids in their uniforms up in McDonalds at 11AM? why the hell aren't u in class? HAD to have the newly restored steak egg and cheese bagel, that's back on the breakfast menu. had errands to run before I got there. I said let me preorder my food on the app cause I was running late, knowing breakfast usually's a wrap at 10:30. Done. Got there a little after 10:30, and breakfast was still on and poppin. It went to 11AM. Ordered a hash brown, and a large coffee as well. The app currently doesnt allow you to stipulate how you want your coffee creamed. WTF. So I went up to the counter, and asked for two half & halfs. The lady politely asked if i wanted her to put it in. I declined. Let me do it. The food was good. Hash brown wasn't hot, but I coulda asked for a fresh one out of the oil. When I go here, I never have a problem. I believe that some people receive the service they get, because they're out of pocket with people. Never disrespect the people who make your food. If I could give zero stars I would! This place is one of the most unprofessional locations I have ever entered. I order on the app knowing the employees in this location are always found talking instead of filling orders. I came in to visit to purchase breakfast on a Sunday morning and I bought my service Dog into the location with me and they tried to go back and forth with me stating my animal was not a service animal when indeed she is. I have proper documentation. As I approached the register Edna stopped me and said she cannot take my order because I have my dog. Than I said to her she is a service dog which indeed I did identify her as than she argued back saying no she is not than went and got her manager Rosa. Rosa came and when I told her the occurrence she made me feel just as uncomfortable. Following customers began to argue with me due to the fact that I speaking about this issue. I told them as a former McDonalds manager I know policy in regards to people with disabilities. They need to educate their staff on this issue. If they need help below I have taken information from the ADA's website to help educate them so no one else with a disability will feel uncomfortable as I did. The staff are really nice, they talk with smiles on their faces, and they are very polite with courtesy. Food are excellent and served in a very short time. One thing I'm not happy with is that the clean lady who only speaks Spanish ignored me when I asked for the password to the bathroom. I ordered a happy meal and asked them beforehand if it brought the Pokémon cards in it. Both the cashier and manager told me yes and when I placed my order and received it, I went straight home without checking because I was confident that they wouldn't mess my order up because I was the only customer there at the time. As McDonald's restaurants go, this has been one where I can always count on getting in and getting out in a reasonable amount of time. I've really only ever been there for breakfast (quite a few times when I first moved to the neighborhood, and occasionally since then when I don't have time to eat at home) and it just never ceases to amaze me that I can get in line, order my food, it's ready in 3 minutes (with napkins in the bag) and I'm on my way. I don't expect a whole lot from fast food establishments. And a shocking many can't seem to master the basic art of serving people and getting them on their way. This restaurant has it down pat.
