They kind of jip you on the extra fudge in my ice cream, we asked for extra Oreos in my friends McFlurry since there was just a little on top, and they just added more on top, so it was a vanilla ice cream with Oreo piled on top not mixed in at all like your typical McFlurry, they must've been in a McHurry even though we were the only people in like (now I see why), a choke hazard to put it kindly. My wife ordered an apple pie because she wanted a warm snack. She said it was totally cold and I didn't hear the end of it the entire way home. My mum and I visited this location early for breakfast around 5:30am, first off the lay out of the location is rather dumb. We had to walk through the drive thru (which doesn't seem very safe) to get inside and we almost got hit by a speeding car trying to order. The place was very dead inside but it took forever to get our food. The lady behind the counter was singing and talking to I'm guessing regulars instead of taking our order. Then had to stand and wait for two meals for a good 10mins also they hadn't cleared the board of previous orders so my number wasn't even up on the screen when my food was ready. She kind of just placed the food on the counter and didn't even look at me. If you aren't a regular I'm guessing they don't really put in effort. Every time the ice cream machine is broken. How? Why would you let me order it and wait for it? Then when my order comes you tell me there's no ice cream. Also I had to wait 30 min for apple pies because they were out of them. The cashier was even pushing for me not to buy them because the staff working were complaining they didn't want to make them (how hard is it, seriously? They come premade!) Overall it's a stressful location full of teenagers working that want to do the bare minimum. Two of the workers were horse playing in the back. Lowest score I can give. I am not able to review the service or product, because I didn't receive either. I waited, and waited, and waited to be served, or at least acknowledged. The cashier was busy counting a kids bag of change and very concerned about it even though the kid was not, more interested in chasing his friends around. The last straw was when one of the managers at yhe back of the kitchen YELLED up to the front to one of the employees to help on cash. If this manager was yelling to the front, she could have easily acknowledged me in the same manner. That would have kept me. Something is seriously wrong with the mcd's in newmarket.. this visit was the most stressful moment of my life. The drive thru was rough so we went in, hoping to grab some last minute snacks for a quick Canada day get together. Even though there were a bunch of cars in the drive thru, the inside was moderately empty and clean so I thought "how bad could it be?" Bish, you were wrong, Amy. There were printed signs all over.. it looked like it was typed up by someone who just learned to write "We con not make ice cream, machines and dairy are broken" wat. Excuse me? Newmarket's ice cream machines are always down so even though they have signs outside telling you to come in and cool down, NAH B. YA CAN'T. No cones, milkshakes, mcflurries. I guess you can cool down the the ice that comes from the soda machines. Also we waited around 20min for our order.. don't even know why until this other lady that was waiting for us told us that apple pies were not made, thus the delay. When is consistency a bad thing? The food always tastes the same at every McDonalds location. The interior and exterior always looks the same. The service at the counter is always the same process and outcome. And I often get a messed up order at the drive through. Consistently. Regularly. Latest example: I order a sausage mcmuffin with egg. What do I get? Egg but no sausage. That is not even on the menu! It must be a game, like "what are the chances I'll come back to get my order fixed after I have driven away?" This is a game that balances distance away vs cost of item vs annoyance factor/resignation. The staff probably bets on the outcome. Bet on me not returning. read more

The golden arches gleamed in the sunlight on an almost spring-like winter afternoon and so I was inspired to stop for some fries and pop (usually on my prohibited list of foods to eat). This location has an unfortunate below street level location so even with an expanse of windows it has a depressing basement atmosphere. The parking lot is tricky with narrow access on the drive-thru side and I could envision the possibility of cars colliding. Charming counter service couldn't make up for a seven customers in front of me wait. Fries were over-warmed and disappointing. read more

I had to spend a few Saturdays up in Newmarket. I came to this McDonalds to have a coffee and hang out for an hour or so. I can only drink decaf coffee. Every time i order from other McDonalds, i tell them that when i get my decaf coffee, its usually luke warm. I absolutely hate luke warm coffee!! Here at this location, they offer to brew a new batch of decaf for me and they said it will take about 6 mins. I don't mind waiting. Then when they call my number, they say - sorry for the wait. Really happy with how they treated me. I get my fresh hot decaf coffee everytime i go here! Place is clean, for the hour that i'm there, i see an employee go around wiping tables. As mentioned in another review, the parking is not great at this location. Drive thru is usually busy. Other than that, good service. read more

Not the 'cheap and fast' option anymore. Yesterday we went for two medium milkshakes and had to wait in line for ten minutes. Once we got to the front we were charged $8.11. They were just basic chocolate milkshakes, nothing special. Today we went to the grocery store and got a tub of Breyer's Caramilk Ice cream and a 4L bag of milk for $8.24 with a two minute wait in line. We went home and made much nicer milkshakes. Then this morning, we had cereal for breakfast with some of the leftover milk and more milkshakes after dinner. I'm not going to bother going to McDonalds for milkshakes again, we can make them for ourselves much cheaper and suffer through less of a line. This was one of the absolute worst McDonald's restaurants that I have ever had the displeasure of stepping foot in, It was around 7 pm & was not busy (maybe like 2-3 customers) and it took me TEN minutes to finally see a worker in the front, who I then had to alert that she had a job to do... Constant issues with food being wrong! I use door dash to order from here and every single time something is wrong. Last week they sent the driver with someone's Uber eats order which wasn't ours. Contacted door dash and they put a new order in and redelivered it, mc Donald's gave us our original food that had been sitting there over an hour! Needless to say it was ice cold. Drove back to the store myself and the manager was so rude and just re made the order and argued with me about how it wasn't old. I pointed out to him the original TIME STAMPED receipt was attached to the bag which was over an hour ago. He ignored that of course...today we order again and the burgers all say "no onions" on the receipt, sure enough they all have onions. Gave us a Mc double instead of a double cheeseburger as well.
