The staff at the drive through were so sweet. McDonald's is no five star restaurant, but I think this location deserves better ratings for a McDonald's. The staff were so friendly and they brought out Birdy while I was waiting for my food. I never leave reviews, but I had to go out of my way for this review to say the staff looked genuinely happy to serve me and not the performative smile "have a great day". Also the food was better than usual. My fries weren't over salted and they were CRISPY. If I could give this place any less stars I would, it's unfortunate that you can't go below 1 star. All I ordered was a Big Breakfast platter with hot cakes and sausage. I made a special request to trade the sausage for an extra biscuit, cause I love a warm McDonalds biscuit. How to start................ Ok well now that I waited I can pretty much correlate that with the "fast" part of this place. Every time you order anything but a drink be prepared to pull ahead. I am the idiot however that randomly stops in forgetting how "fast" the service is. Recently I was pulled around... yes I know I blame myself because I have been fooled way more than three times. But whatever, maybe fries were out.... Or maybe they just ran out of two burgers for the Big Mac. So my positive benefit of the doubt side gave credit. So I was like cool at least my fries and or burger will be nice and fresh. So after sitting around for about 15 minutes, watching cars run out of gas from idling during their wait, out walks my food. So as I remind myself of the positive thoughts I place my hand into the bag expecting to feel that hot crispy salty fry that just came out. Well it did come out of something but it was most likely the refrigerator. So on to the burger, this has to be fresh right? What else did I have to wait so long for? As I fight my way through a wave of lettuce that makes up 95% of the meal I take a bite of a well you guessed it, cold burger. So who knows what the hell is going on with this place. Here's the feedback I gave the McDonald's website a few minutes ago: "I ordered two orders of the two Cheeseburger meal. While the service was great, I do have a complaint about a food safety issue with my order. One of the Cheeseburgers had an approximately 8" long x 1/8" wide strip of clear plastic underneath the slice of cheese. My wife bit into the plastic, noticed it had an unusual texture, and pulled it out slowly thinking it was an onion. The plastic strip was transparent, irregularly cut, and could have been part of a bag or packing material. I just thankful she didn't swallow the plastic, because a person could have easily choked on it. While I don't think the plastic was placed into the burger intentionally, it does show that someone preparing the food was careless." We waited for our food to get delivered to the table, they forgot the egg in my egg mcmuffin. Just needed the egg added, but I waited 15 minutes for another one. Started getting mad then. Then get back to the table, still no drinks (ordered a latte and frappe). At that point I was steaming. I told the manager they needed to get their sh*t together, was refused service. Finally some nice young lady got the drinks, and after trying to get the manager's name, no one would give me her last name. But she finally calmed down enough to refund us our meal. I still complained to corporate. I'm not usually that person, but a half hour for a meal at McDonald's? Yeah, no. The franchisee was supposed to call me, but I get some assistant instead, so the owner is probably some rich b*tch who cares less as long as their franchise is making money. I explained the issue, got the excuse that 5 people called in and there was one woman in the grill. I said I saw the one woman in the grill, but there were at least 5 up front, who could have made the drinks. I mean this particular McDonald's has like a 2.5 rating on FB, so there are issues. Anyway, I get a couple free meals, the coupons are coming in the mail. I didn't want free meals, and hopefully I can use them at a different McDonald's because this one sucks. Had a tough figuring out how to use the McDonald's mobile app but it worked fine after their tech guy helped us. Works fine now. We used a very good coupon from their app that gave a free sandwich with any purchase over $1.00. We had a very enjoyable conversation with John, their tech man. He told us about the many benefits that young people can get while working there to include money for college and textbooks. I always get the Quarter pounder and coke which is always consistent and good. Great friendly staff and managers. Would highly recommend it to everyone. read more
