This is my absolute favorite deli. The mcalisters club is amazing, the bread bowls are tasty and they have some really good cookies to top it all off. However, the star of the show is the sweet tea. For many, it might be TOO sweet, but I find it to be delicious! The service is always great and speedy, the decor is modern and fun and there is plenty of seating. We stopped in, relatively early on a Saturday morning to grab several sandwiches and sides to bring to a friend hang at a winery or two. We should have placed a pick up order online so we didn't have to wait as long, but really...it is just nice that that is an option. We didn't have to wait a terribly long time, we just ordered 4 meals, and that can take a hot couple of minutes to make. And who really likes waiting? No one. Ordering was easy and fairly quick, and the guy taking our orders was pretty dang cheerful and patient, and helped us get everything in order. Our food came out, we got a couple bags, and we loaded up the car and headed out. We should have thought more clearly about our timeline and not ordered the grilled/warm sandwiches. Through the natural flowing of time and the physical existence of reality...those sammies got soggy and chewy and are best eaten immediately after ordering. I opted for a cold wrap that traveled well, and the veggie and turkey sandwich we got stayed its course too. We got exactly what we expected and needed. McAlister's is certainly not a personal favorite, and it is out of the way for my general life, but on the day that we visited...they fit the bill and fit it well. You could do worse. read more

When I was working at a local retail store in the area briefly. A friend of mine said he was going to McAlister's and asked if I wanted anything. I ordered the French Dip which consists of black angus roast beef and melted swiss cheese on a toasted baguette, with au jus dipping sauce. The sandwich was pretty good in all honestly. The cheese was melted thoroughly and the beef was cooked thoroughly. What bothered me was the bread was over-toasted and slightly burned. I really wish I could give this McAlister's a higher rating because their staff is super friendly, but unfortunately I cannot. Ordering carry out from this location is a nightmare. My advice to you: check it before you leave. This should be a rule of thumb for everyone getting takeout, but this McAlister's seems to forget something on my order almost every time! This time, I know it was not the girl ringing me up. She rang my order up perfectly- but the kitchen forgot my pickles as well as the dressing for my salad, which made me pretty disappointed. My family and I stopped in here this afternoon on our way home and this is my first time eating this McAllister's I got a McAllister's club sandwich which is turkey ham that is cheese and bacon on it. It was eight dollars and I got some spud chips and a water overall pretty good I'll give Matt a four out of five on a sandwich for the price my daughters got macaroni and cheese and I both enjoyed it my wife got some kind of bacon avocado sandwich and she didn't like it too well but she's going to buy some cookies and their cookies are huge and she loves sweets so she'll enjoy that so overall four out of five read more

A few minutes later, I got notified by phone it was ready. I checked back in & showed my notification. I gave them my name & they checked the "ready" area but no joy. They asked if I was sure I was at the right location. I was. They asked what I ordered, found it on the computer & said "they had it entered under SA". They turned & picked it up from the "ready" area where it was sitting when I walked in 10 minutes earlier. I've been coming to this McAlister's since it opened. It's been a roller coaster of good and bad over the years. Today we were running behind and decided to give it another try. The menu has changed and they no longer carry Lays potato chips (kinda sad). They now have their own branded chips called McAlister's Spud Chips. A kettle cooked potato chip in varying styles. Stopped in here on a weekday around lunchtime. The line was not as long as I've seen it in other McAllister's restaurants. They had plenty of People taking orders. Each time they would Say "next person please" it boiled my blood. It wasn't friendly at all in regards to town it seemed more like frustration, and it wasn't just one person. Our orders came out fast and so many people.l checked in with us for refills and to take our plates. The check ins is why I scored it a 3 versus a 2. I'm not sure why I even come here for sandwiches when there are so many better places around! This franchise is descent, if you happen to be right there and it's convenient than it's worth a stop. Today I tried the King Club, this thing is much bigger than the picture! It's ginormous! My potato soup was good, oh that's why I come here! For their soup! The grilled cheese for my son was absolutely horrible, just not very cheesy, it's for a kid so no need to keep it all healthy by shorting me on the cheese. Lol. The Mac n cheese was pretty bad too, just bland and didn't taste like cheese at all. This location is very close to where I work and have worked for the last nine months. However, today was only my fourth visit despite how good the food consistently is. And it is good food!!! The whole neighborhood thinks so, because there is always a significant wait. Even ordering online ahead does not exempt you from having to wait in line. I think this system could definitely be improved company wide. But what really limits my patronage is the service. It's not bad service, but it's not good service. I've been in there alone. I've ordered to go. I've been in with a friend to eat in. And on all four occasions, the employees were not friendly, they were curt and not happy to help. Or quick. Back in June McAllister's home office said they would contact me about my order issue after I posted on their Facebook page about an ongoing problem, At that time I had asked for no Green Onions in my potato soup but they had put them in the soup 11 straight times. No one ever followed up in 72 hours like they said they would do.Currently it has been 17 straight times. I know I could check it before I leave but at this point I'm just curious how many times they can screw it up. But tonight we ordered on the App went to pick up our order and one of the sandwiches was completely the wrong sandwich. So my wife took the order back in to get the right sandwich and we had to wait 24 minutes for them to remake the sandwich while the rest of our order got cold. The MGR. should have made that top priority. read more

I had put in a to go order while there eating my dine in order. The to go order was said to be ready at 738. At 740 I asked a cashier she said it was not ready yet. So at 8 I asked a guy that was running food to tables only to find out that he had put my order behind the cashier i asked the first time and it had been sitting there the whole time. I understand that covid is messing a lot of things up. But the cooks in the back we goofing around talking and there were at least 8 frontline employees not very many dine in customers. So plenty of workers things shouldn't be that crazy. Had the guy put the order at the door pickup then I could have saved 20 minutes and my mom could of had a hot sandwich. McAlister's Deli has officially lost my business. Do NOT ever order them through any food delivery service apps. I wanted to love McAllister's so much that I gave them three chances, because when they're good, they are good. But the past three times I have ordered from them, I have been given wrong or incomplete orders. I ordered a salad with honey mustard, it came with ranch. I ordered another salad with honey mustard, it came with no dressing at all. I ordered vegetarian chili, it came with meat. I ordered a side potato salad with my sandwich, no side came. I ordered another sandwich with a bag of chips, no side came again. I ordered nachos, it came with NO cheese. How are you going to have nachos with no cheese? If I wanted a plate of stale, bland chips, then I would have just gone to the gas station. I ordered a brownie, it came with a cookie. I know that during these trying times everyone is doing their best and at the end of the day, these are really petty complaints on my part. But as an essential worker, sometimes coming home after a 10 hour shift, I would just love to receive the food that I ordered. If you want similar items, order from Jason's deli. I hope in the future McAllister's deli can put a little bit more effort into their online orders, because that's the way the world is going right now. I'm just not sure what people see in this place. I've been here a few times now and yet to have anything that I'd come back for. The first time I tried a Chicken Salad Sandwich. It was very clearly bought out, processed chicken salad. The kind that is always a little slimy...! Very bad. The next time I got a Spud. It was the Grilled Chicken Spud. The potato was huge as promised but the toppings wouldn't have been enough for a potato a quarter of the size. I would guess about an ounce of chicken, almost no cheese and few diced tomatoes and I don't think they even put the green onions on there. This item is WAY over priced for what you get. The third and I'd say, final time, I ordered the Southwest Turkey Melt. It should have had turkey, bacon, cheddar, guacamole, chipotle ranch and lettuce & tomato on it. I mistakingly thought that this sandwich would be a bit spicy hence the name "Southwest" but no, not at all. If there was a chipotle ranch on this sandwich I couldn't find it or taste it. I prefer my bacon to be a bit crisp on sandwiches but this bacon was very rubbery. The cheddar was melted as promised and I believe there may have been a smidge of guacamole on the bread. Again, WAY over priced. Why go here when you can go to almost any full service restaurant and have a much better sandwich, salad or soup for less money? read more

I eat McAlister's more than I probably should, but I don't come to this location very often. I happened to be in the area and decided that I really wanted a sandwich. I placed my standard order, but the person at the counter was pretty unfriendly and at one point made me a little uncomfortable about my order (I don't make special requests; there was just something really off-putting about the demeanor.) I kept thinking about it as I sat there eating my meal, and it really made me not want to come back. I will keep visiting the other locations near my home and work, though. read more
