Geez some rough reviews. Located near the interchange of routes 82 & 84 results in an easy to access location. Decent on site parking and dinning room, plus 2 lanes to order drive thru. My order a simple iced coffee via the mobile application, pleasant interaction with the cashier and person handing me the beverage, but the cashier did present my order on the opposite order screen at the drive thru. For me getting in and out via Main Street was not an issue, and it provided easy access to route 84 so that could reach route 280. I mostly just order beverages, and the occasional Egg McMuffin at McDonalds $MCD . Btw McRibs are back on November 11, 2025. read more

This location has been remodeled and looks great. Unfortunately, it is located in area that is in the middle of so much extensive development and construction. that there's only one way in and one way out, of the area. Be careful of all the potholes, closures, and construction zones. The Good: the two young ladies that I interacted with, One was in the drive-through and one was during the order pick up. Both had good energy and made great small talk. They were engaging and friendly. The food was warm. The fries were crispy and the nuggets were what I was craving. it's McDonald's, so it served a purpose for our immediate cravings. The Bad: I originally asked for the small and apparently McDonald's no longer serves small meals anymore. Apparently, it's only medium and large. Maybe it's because I haven't eaten McDonald's in years. But since when has the small been removed from the menu? That's not even the half of it. the medium, literally looks like the size of a small meal. The lemonade was so sweet. I only had about a quarter of it before I had to put it aside. It was as if they took a pound of sugar and mixed it in with lemonade powder. What the heck is an up-charge?! They charge me extra on a drink and had I noticed it before I drove away. I would've returned it. Why is there an up-charge for lemonade? These prices are not worth the quality of the meals. To summarize my experience: nice, friendly staff. Food was hot and ready. Oh! The lines moved quite quickly, which I can also appreciate. But the not so good, outweighs the positive. Soooooo slow. We came on a Friday night around 5pm and it was packed, no curbside pick up spots left and had to circle twice to get a normal parking spot. Ordered via the mobile app for counter pick up and it took about 40 minutes to get two Happy Meals, chicken nuggets and a mcvalue meal. When anyone asked employees for updates on their orders they sometimes ignored and didn't even acknowledge with a "not sure" response. The last time we came around lunchtime on a weekend it wasn't too crowded and STILL a very long wait for our orders. I do appreciate the play center but don't recommend this location if you're looking for decently quick food. read more

I had an online order mishap that was only handled correctly once I spoke with JP, the location supervisor. JP thoroughly explained what happened with my order and gave a solution on how to avoid it from happening again. He also assured me that the problem will be resolved and in what manner (providing me with two different scenarios of what to expect). The issue that I have is with the location manager, Mariela. When initially trying to figure out what went wrong with my order she gave no good explanation, just quick, short, sharp answers and she was very pushy and rude about it. The lines were a disaster inside and outside and other people inside were also complaining about their orders (which most likely explains the poor customer service I received). What could improve here is proper management training or observation into Mariela's role to ensure paying customers are receiving adequate interactions and experiences. I understand establishments get busy but as a paying customer, when problems arise, we just want to be heard, understand what went wrong and be provided a solution to the problem. read more

Terrible service, order missing items, employees act like they hate your presence when you ask for help. I ordered for pickup and right away i got a notification that my order was ready. I get there and employees just look over at me standing at the counter yet they continue talking about non work related stuff while my food is getting cold on counter. Took 15mins to get my food, plenty of employees standing around. When I tell a guy that works there that my order is there getting cold, he rolls his eyes at me lol and walks away. Beware!! If you order late at night through DoorDash please be aware that McDonald's employees will purposely do your order wrong. I ordered 2 cheeseburgers and 1 large fries. They sent 2 McChickens and 1 small fries. Total opposite. I was just glad they sent the food after a long shift. I take a bite of the McChicken it had a bunch of of onion but McChicken don't have onion. After that I couldn't even keep eating thinking that they probably did something else to my food. I had one of the worst fast-food experiences I've ever had at the McDonald's on 185 Chestnut St in Redwood City. I'm from San Francisco but was visiting my mother-in-law at her retirement home nearby and stopped to grab food. I had redeemed a lot of points in the McDonald's app for a Filet-O-Fish sandwich and selected drive-thru pickup. I also had cash to buy my mother-in-law a separate meal, so when I got to the drive-thru I politely asked if I could pick up my mobile order and place a regular order with cash. The employee immediately started yelling at me saying, "NO! We don't do multiple orders!" I calmly tried to explain that I was just placing one regular order and picking up my mobile order at the same time. She kept yelling "NOOO! HOW MANY THINGS DO YOU WANT?!" My boyfriend even repeated the explanation, telling her it was just one order we were placing plus picking up the mobile order. Suddenly her tone changed and she said "Oh... what do you want?" I ordered a $6 McDouble meal with a Coke and asked for a Spicy McChicken meal. She asked what drink I wanted, I said Dr Pepper, and then she yelled that they don't have Dr Pepper. She also said they only had the regular McChicken, not spicy, even though she had just asked if I wanted the McChicken meal instead. She never told me the total for the order -- she just abruptly said "THANK YOU!" and moved us forward. When I later looked at the receipt, I realized she didn't even ring it up as the meals I asked for. Instead of the $6 meal and the $5 meal she mentioned, I was charged for separate items and almost paid around $20. She didn't charge it as a McChicken meal at all and basically overcharged me without explaining anything. On top of the terrible service, the Filet-O-Fish from my mobile order was completely cold. I had redeemed a lot of points for it and it clearly had been sitting there for a long time. I understand people have bad days, but screaming at customers, being rude the entire time, and then ringing up the order incorrectly is unacceptable. Service at this location is awful. When ordering inside, I had to wait 45 min for my food. For whatever reason, they were ignoring customers inside and prioritizing drive thru. Another time, i went in the drive thru and no one replied to me on the radio. I drove forward to the window and the lady yelled at me that i needed to order at the radio. I hadn't been to this McDonald's in a while and decided to stop by and check it out again, but the experience was extremely disappointing. The employee taking my order was rushed, rude, and unclear, which resulted in my order being completely wrong. When I got to the window and tried to explain the issue, instead of helping fix it, the employe threatened to "send me back around" if I didn't order correctly next time. On top of that, my drinks were the wrong size and I was missing an entire meal. Rather than trying to resolve the mistake, the staff continued arguing and claimed that I was the one at fault for not speaking clearly. Keep in mind I was in a full car, and everyone inside clearly heard my order. Customer service like this is unacceptable. This McDonald's is right off of Woodside Road. It has a small parking lot and a drive thru. I haven't been inside but have done drive thru a few times and it's been quick and efficient. They do have some (limited?) breakfast past 10am or whatever their cutoff is so you can always ask if they have your favorite breakfast item. I got a bacon egg and cheese McGriddle recently which is my go to and I like how crispy the bacon is. Horrible experience! Ordered a mobile order for curbside pick up but didn't receive some of my items which I noticed once I got home. When I returned minutes later, I was immediately received with the lady giving me attitude and once I explained what happened she searched it up but the order wouldn't show in their system apparently. I showed her my receipt where it showed my order, the number, the time, and how much I paid but her response was that my explanation didn't match up to the receipt since "it says drive thru" and I said I got it through curbside. At this point she was basically saying it wasn't true and that I was lying. The last thing she said was why I didn't stay waiting in curbside which showed she wasn't even paying attention to what I was even saying and after explaining once again, she responded with saying it doesn't show in the system but she would still do the order again, which is when I just told her to not bother and drove away. Once again, driving through for a pair of diet sodas. We were properly greeted at the drive-thru speaker and then again at the window. The cashier repeated our ordered, collected our payment, and handed back our change, all with a smile and great eye contact. At the pick-up window, the drinks were handed to me one at a time and not in a rush. Sometimes it's so fast, I'm afraid that I'll squeeze to firmly and pop a lid right off. This McDonald's location is a Train Wreck. I went there the other day ordered them small mocha frappe and got a caramel frappe. I pointed this out too the person at the window serving it. She said it was a mocha frappe. I said what does that look like on top? It's caramel not mocha. All the clerk wanted to do was argue about it. They finally supposedly fixed it. So I drove away only to find out they did not blend it properly. Turned out to be mostly ice in the bottom half of the drink. They do this quite often at this location screw it up. !!AVOID!! This establishment is full of thieves! On 11/12/24, I went through the drive-thru at your location to purchase two meals that totaled just under $20. I handed the cashier $40 (two $20 bills), but she only gave me back $1 and some change. I immediately told her that I had given her $40, but she looked at me as if I was trying to scam her and called a manager to open the register. (First window register, KS#13 and Side1 on receipt) They asked me to move to the mobile pick-up station while they "counted the register." After waiting about 10 minutes, the manager came out and told me that the register didn't show the extra $20--in fact, she claimed the register was short. I asked her to check the cameras because this felt unfair and shady. Her response? "If you want to see the cameras, you'll need a warrant from the police." At this point, it felt like $20 had been stolen from me, whether by mistake or otherwise. Counting money is the cashier's main responsibility, and this situation showed clear incompetence. I then asked the manager to file a complaint against the cashier. She handed me a bright green card with a phone number for someone named "JP." I called JP, hoping they'd understand where I was coming from as a customer. I was promised the issue would be looked into, and I'd get a call back within three business days. This happened on a Tuesday, so I expected a call by Friday. It's now been two weeks, and I've heard nothing. What's even more concerning is that if this happened to me, how many other customers might have been affected? This isn't just about $20--it's about fairness and accountability. I trusted your team to handle this situation professionally, but instead, I feel ignored and disrespected.
