We are driving from the region down to IU, and just st through a long back up due to semi accident, so after 2 hours, we needed to use the restroom. We stopped t the McDonald's and decided we'd get lunch as well. First, I went into the bathroom. Besides the smell, I went into the stall with the diper changing station. The garbage can had overflown, and people had set dirty diapers on top. Clearly the garbage had been there since yesterday, as it was only 11am. I knew this had to be the case when one worker goes, "it was just changed this morning. " I call BS. Then while waiting for our order, there was apparently someone in drive thru asking for a manager, who did go over there. As soon as the wi dow closed, 3 workers started laughing t the cutomer. There was a gentleman at the country who was waiting to have his order take . But he had to wait while the register girl retold the drive thru story to her mom, who also worked there. The one she called mom was the one who was coming out of the bathroom with the garbage I had mentioned to the manager and was carrying that bathroom garbage behind the counter. I wanted to puke. We just stopped at this McDonalds for a quick breakfast. The place is easy just off of I65. It was clean and the two employees we encountered were so very nice. They did a great job and made sure we got grape jelly and honey with our biscuits as we requested. It is so refreshing to encounter employees that appear to love their job and want to help employees. Thank you Remington McDonald's! I have to add - it was St Pat's day and there were some patrons with some cool red McDonald's koozies over their large drinks. I want one of those! read more

This is the dirtiest McDonalds I have ever been to and I live in Chicago. Bathrooms are gross and obviously have pee all over them. There are only self checkouts and 7 teenagers standing around while 2 are actually working. Pretty sure they are all related (same parents/cousins). Pop machines and tables filthy. Laziest staff at any McDonalds. That's something to put on the wall. The manager was too busy gossiping to actually put my order together.

It is brand new. They have TOUCH SCREENS inside where you place your order yourself. It is weird...fancy feeling. But then you have to figure out where all your preferred food items are in the digital menu. And the screens are HUGE. Everyone every where can see what you are ordering. It is and interesting development for ordering inside... The dining room area is open and bright and pretty clean. But the bathroom, equipped with sensor-enabled toilets, sinks and hand dryers, was pretty gross. Puddles around the toilets...wet public bathroom floors always skeeve me out....and this one was very...ick. read more

DISGUSTING. The floors clearly had not been so much as swept in weeks. There was a large bucket of water in the middle of the floor. Filthy tables and benches. Giant puddle under a table, instead of cleaning it, it was chained off. All the toilets in the women's bathroom had bowel movements down them. I asked for wet naps to clean a table for my toddler, and was told I could use a napkin and wet it in the bathroom. As we waited, the cashier proceeded to dance behind the counter.... About 3 weeks ago we sat down in the limited seating restaurant and had no problems beyond the Exit Door requirement and now the dining room is closed. Why? There are no Covid-19 outbreaks in any part of rural Indiana. The food was good but McDonald's needs to get its act together and BE CONSISTENT. I'm done with this location. read more

McDonalds never gets five stars from me (I feel incredibly guilty every time I walk into one of these fast "food" places), but this building itself wasn't bad for a little Indiana stop. Therefore, I'm rewarding it three out of four stars on my mental fast food rating scale. Nicely decorated (they had... curtains!), friendly and smiley employees (a good thing early in the morning), quick service, and very clean bathrooms. My husband even had a pleasant conversation with the cleaner while he was in the bathroom!! "How you doing today, sir?" (The cleaner.) "Very well. How are you?" (My husband.) "Good!" This McDonald's isn't too bad. It has been remodeled so it looks pretty nice inside and out. Food is typical McDonald's. It's fast food so nothing amazing, but the beauty of multi-national corporate restaurants is consistency. Your burger should taste the same whether you got in Remington, Indiana, or Remington, Virginia. If you're driving a motorhome or an 18-wheeler (or just pulling a trailer) there is a nice parking area just for you. read more

This little Prissy girl with brown hair that gave us our food at the 3rd pickup because we were waiting on fresh fries, didn't like the fact that we asked for salt and ketchup. After we asked, she snobbishly was like..."yeah" and rolled her eyes...If we weren't in the middle of a pandemic, I would have gone up in there and balled her out!!!! Ok - I don't typically review McDonald's, but I couldn't believe this one! The food was prepared quickly and the staff was nice, but the best part were the bathrooms! They had real decor like a home or nicer spot. The bathroom had paintings and was well kept. Everything was very clean and well decorated and while it was a general McDonald's in terms of food, the sprucing up of the space really made it stand a bit above a typical McDonald's. read more

Typically I would enjoy eating a greasy unhealthy hamburger or indulge in flimsy fries from Mcdonald's but unfortunately I can't do either if workers continuously forget parts of my order. That alone in itself would be fine, since I would just have to go back in and ask for my forgotten items BUT now they expected me to have a receipt which also is fine, but you know it would be even better IF THEY AT LEAST GAVE YOU THE RECEIPT JUST IN CASE. I'm not one to review a fast food joint...lets be real, they are typically spotty on the cleanliness scale and they all serve disgusting greasy food that you just deal with when on a road trip. As others have posted, it's usually not a good use of my time to write a review about a fast food joint like McDonalds. Most I have been to have been relatively clean, but honestly the food is processed crap. We go there for convenience. My husband and I visited this McD's on our way north from Indianapolis. The positive is that there is place to park if you're pulling a trailer, boat, etc. That's where the good review ends. The unenthused teen behind the counter took our order. Nothing special, just a BLT ranch chicken sandwich meal and some chicken nuggets. We waited 10 minutes for our food. Is that still considered 'fast food'? I take a bite out of my sandwich and it's jiggling. I'm like 'what in the hell is this? Gross is what it is. So I take my sandwich up to the counter to the same unenthused teen and I tell him this sandwich is disgusting and I would like my money back. He starts yelling for the manager... KIM, KIM, KIM. Finally, Kim comes over and says, what's the problem? I tell her that my sandwich is disgusting and I'd like my money back as I wiggle the gross jiggling thing on my chicken. She says, oh, that's just some fat. I tell her that it's gross and unappetizing and I would like my money back. She proceeds to give me a refund. Not one... I'm sorry about that; can I get you something else; go screw yourself...nothing. The bathrooms were dirty, the drink area was all slopped over with pop, the floor was filthy and sticky. The list goes on. In retrospect, I'm not sure why we even stayed. Should have taken the bathrooms as a sign to just leave and drive another 10 or so miles to the McD's in Rensselaer. I walked in with my 5 yr old and went to the restroom and all he could say is "this is disgusting and smells like a dirty diaper!" We then order our food and they put 3 napkins with our order. It's McDonald's and it's bad for me. This McDonald's gets a 1 star rating because they have blue print drawings from Lew Wallace High School in Gary, IN on the bathroom wall of the men's room. That is literally it's only redeeming value. The blue prints are cool, but the bathroom smelled like an outhouse. The floors in this restaurant are dirty, no make that filthy! They need swept and mopped. The manager is a slug, or is at the very least as slow as one. It took a few minutes for someone to even take out order and then that order sat behind the counter waiting for the fish filet sandwich. Avoid this place at all cost. Go to the KFC down the road, starve, it just eat the lint ball from your belly button. Any of those choices would be better than this disgusting place. read more

I usually don't enjoy this location at all. Employees usually are too busy talking with each other and management to worry about customers. This evening my kids and I came in and the gentlemen working the counter around 515 and taking care of the lobby; was exceptional! He was asking every table how their meal was- if they needed anything- talked with elderly customers and had them laughing.
