I went through the drive thru tonight. I ordered and then waited quite awhile in the line. Finally got up to pay, the guy repeated my order. It was wrong. So I told him the correct order. Then when I got to the window to get my food, I asked if the cheeseburgers were no pickles and no onions, the response was "yea, I double checked." I pulled up and my daughter pulled out her cheeseburgers and they did have both onions and pickles. So I took them into the lobby to get the right burgers (this is one reason we never go to McDonalds bc her order is always wrong)! I handed them back to the worker that had given them to me. He went to get the right burgers. The "cook" worker took the burgers my daughter had just touched to check, refolded the wrapper and placed them back into distribution. When he was repackaging I thought...no way he will put it back in with others...that's exactly what he did!! I said "my daughter fingered those...I wouldn't put them back into circulation!" The guys says, we'll handle it I know it's a small town (we were driving through on our way to Omaha). On a road trip, in need of good coffee, so we stopped here. Big mistake. It's just after 0600 on a Sunday morning. How big of a rush could they have had this morning? Let's start with no welcome, an employee even walked right by and didn't ask if we had been helped nor said that someone would be right with us. There was only one car in the drive through and no other customers in the building, yet we waited for several minutes without any acknowledgement. I hollered to an employee to ask if the lobby was open. She said,"she is on her way." There were 5 other employees there and no one steps up to serve customers when the person working the register is unavailable? Does anyone there know why they are in business? To make money by serving customers! So we order and go sit down to wait for our food. The tables needed to be wiped down and there was food on the floor which was also sticky. Gross. Head to the bathroom. The handicap stall has no toilet paper and the bathroom is as dirty as the dining room. The cashier is in there too. Hmmm, is she being overtasked when she should be handling customers? I wonder. If so, why? Head back out to the table and the man who ordered after we sat down is getting his coffee. We still don't have ours, so I go to the counter to wait. I watch as it gets made and he brings our food over in a bag. My family is at a table waiting to eat. I ask for a tray. He gives it to me and asks if that's what I want. I'm irritated at this point and say the tray is for here, the bag is for to go. He puts the bag on the tray. Ughhhhh! I empty the bag with its two bags onto the tray and leave the bags there. How hard is it to treat people with courtesy and act like you enjoy serving them? The food: coffee, good as expected and the whole reason we stop at McDonalds; the eggs were over-cooked and rubbery; bacon egg and cheese biscuit was as expected. Not likely to stop here again. My advice to the employees, is as follows. Memorize rule number 1: Greet your customers with a friendly attitude and a smile and get the order quickly, so you don't lose sales from people walking out for being ignored. If you lose enough sales, you will lose your job. Keep the place clean: not only will the mess chase people away, it reflects poorly on you as well as the company or franchise owner. Don't overtask the cashier. Is it just me or was she having all these tasks dumped on her? I felt sorry for her. read more
