WORST MCDONALDS EVER.Employees treatment towards customers is horrible my family and I just made an order through the self checkout screen and decided to pay with cash and when we were in line to pay for our order employees were ignoring us and said " we are currently not taking orders if you want you'll have to wait" I believe this type of action and having this employees working will lead this business to a big FAILURE.Employees should be fired and should start a whole new process again the owner should certified their employees in how to treat and serve their customers before hiring them.We would never come back to this McDonalds we prefer to visit Whataburger in South Padre Island they have better service.I gave them a star because is mandatory in order for my post to be posted but they don't deserve not even a star.HORRIBLE. read more

The Management at this location does NOT know the meaning on checking in online though the McDonalds App. Dues to the Mask rule if you don't have a mask you wait outside once your food is ordered. Now Twice I've done this and waited at the outside dining area for 10 minutes after the app said it was ready. I went inside and talked to the manager because this happened before and the manager said we still have to get in line and check in.. And I was like NO the reason that we check in online is because it tells you we are hear.. The reason why McDonalds made the app was to relieve the line. Horrible service. Staff is not trained. Everyone is mad or sad. Manager, Aleida, treats their employees and customers bad. When I was outside I saw her interact with customers. Ms Aleida yells at the customers and she was being very rude to them. No customer service. In the other hand They gave us the incomplete order. Very disorganized. Staff does not know how to use the app so customers can use it. All staff at this location, that I spoke to, have no idea how the app works . Making it nearly impossible to order. Spoke to several of the staff and told me the same thing regarding ms Aleida. She miss treats their employees and customers. This is not right. I went to McDonald's because it was across my hotel. When I got there the manager was yelling at the workers to be faster. I ordered a Big Mac, bit into it and then realized the bread had mold on it. It made me sick. I took it back to the manager and they didn't seem surprised. At least I got my money back. I'm never visiting this location again. read more

This is the worst McDonald's I have ever experienced. We ordered two number ones medium and a 6 piece chicken nugget happy meal with extra fries. I also requested ranch with the happy meal and also two extra ranches so we could all have one ranch each. When we got the bag there were no ranches even though on the receipt it said two extra ranches. When we told them they denied us. I showed them the receipt and gave them the bag and they still denied us the ranches. Keep in mind my child will not eat his without ranch. They then got the manager whose name was Carlos because we refused to leave without ranches because my child will not eat the food without them. He then with a very rude attitude threw 2 ranches in the bag and shoved the bag back at us. We said we will need one more and he refused. We said we would pay for it and he said no and shut the window and locked it. We said we were not leaving without it and he said he was going to call the cops. Even though on the receipt it said 3. We left and when we opened our bag the fries were cold and were half full. Later that night we both had the worse diarrhea of our lives. DO NOT GO TO THIS MCDONALDS!!!! We stopped here a few times on a our trip to South Padre Island. A great place for Snacks, breakfast on lunch on the go. Or a last minute sundae for desert before bed. This place has a steady flow of customers. My family and I stayed at Comfort suites behind it so we walked over instead of dealing with drive thru traffic. The restaurant was clean and so was the bathrooms. Food was fresh. the Coke had awesome carbonation! Coffee was Fresh! oh and the fries were fresh, hot and lightly salted.. read more

Ok, so if your coming here for value or the convenience to the hotels, don't be fooled! First off: there really is no value in the meals. They are a dollar extra because your in South Padre Island! Your better off going to those fresh seafood places even if you don't eat seafood. Second: if your coming in through the drive thru, make sure to check your orders before you drive off because they not only confused our order but they handed it to someone in the drive thru by accident and received no offer of compensation for our long wait! The person from the drive thru came back to get the order right and staff looked confused as to what was happening then when they finally brought out my chicken sandwich it tasted bland! I was very disappointed at the fact that the person who took my order was very unknowledgeable about the menu. I asked her how big the burritos are and she looked at me with a blank stare. I asked if it was the size of an average taco and she also didn't know the answer. Another friend who came with me, noticed her order was wrong. I also noticed that three other families who were in the restaurant went to the front counter to complain about their order. We went to McD's on SPI to get a large caramel Frappe at 8:00am. The drive thru was a long line and no one inside so we went in, while waiting another 10 cars went thru the drive thru while we waited for one frappe! If I could give a zero review I would. First off, me and some friends were staying at the condos right next to this McDonalds. We decided to go walking because even though it was late at night we saw cars in the drive thru. When we got there we spoke into the speaker for over 10 minutes with no reply we walked around and could see people in there and no one would talk to us or open the window. After about 15 minutes or so we left walking somewhere else, when coming back to our condo we saw again there was cars in the drive thru so we went back and finally someone answered through the drive thru speaker and said they could not take our order because we did not have a CAR!?? and they said we close in 13 minutes and I said you couldn't have told us this 40 minutes ago!? To just go get a car instead of making us think it was closed? Horrible customer service what if I was a homeless with no car do you just not take their order? They won't get your order right, or even give you the fries unless you ask. Nuggets are usually burned. Make sure you keep your receipt until you check your order. Also it's going to take you an hour to order and then another 45 minutes to get your food. So if you're looking for fast move along. read more
