Thee. SLOWEST. McDonald's on the face of the earth. I'm taking classes in Southfield and have stopped at this location several times before class, each with plenty of time, and have ended up late for class each time. It takes a solid two whole minutes for someone to even acknowledge you on the speaker to take your order even if you're the first one in line. After your order has been taken it's 10-15 minutes to get your food. This place needs new management, badly!!! read more

To be quite honest, all of the McDonald's in this area(Southfield & Farmington hills) have gone to the pits. It's like all of a sudden they changed for the worse. I don't know if they were bought by a franchisee or what happened however I cringe just thinking about ordering from any of them in my area. I actually sat in the dining room this time and the employees behind the counter extremely loud and none of them wore hairnets which I know is required. the lady was literally sweating that she was handing me my food which was disgusting. The inside of the restaurant is pretty clean but I'm just disappointed overall. There was another lady in line voicing the same concern that I had. We both promised to call the corporate office and make sure that they are aware of what is going on. I asked the manager a question regarding if the price for the sweet tea was the same at all McDonald's locations and he told me I don't eat at McDonald's I just work here. This place... :-/ If I didn't literally live a few blocks away I wouldn't come here at all, and try not to even now, if I can. Service always slow day or night; the cashiers aren't rude but they aren't friendly either, which I could overlook IF the service were quicker and/or if the food were fresher. Lastly, if I'm going to McDonald's, I'm not trying to be healthy: I want a damn milkshake/McFlurry to go with my fries, burger, McNuggets, whatever... but for the entire history of this location I have gotten anything ice cream related MAYBE twice... their machine is perpetually broken and I know that's a McDonald's trope, but this has to be the one that maintains that stereotype. Consistently the worst McDonalds I visit. Unfortunately, it's the closest one to my house. It appears there is staff issues. In the mornings, the pay window is usually closed, it's very slow. Then 90% of the time the breakfast sandwiches are not even warm, the cheese isn't melted, the English muffin is not toasted, Luke warm hash browns. It's so bad I actually will go to a different McDonalds in the morning now that is out of the way of my office. For lunch or dinner, it is slow, and clearly there is also inventory issues. Whether the milk shake machine is down, they ran out of chicken nuggets over the summer, or they just decide to close several hours early on a whim, this McDonalds is the worst I have been to. It's also apparent the workers hate being there or maybe hate the customers. They lack politeness, professionalism, and quite frankly they just seem lazy and like they do not want to be there . If possible try to go to the McDonalds at Woodward and 13 or 14 mile and Coolidge. read more

We stood in front of the register for a solid 5 mins before any of the 7 "workers" behind the register even acknowledged us. Mind you, there was NO LINE in store. Surprisingly enough, the three cars that were serviced African Americans driving, while we were not. All employees working inside this McDonald's were African American as well. This is the first time I have experienced racial discrimination for being WHITE. SHAME ON THEM.. SHAME ON THE MANAGEMENT AND SHAME ON TGE OWNER. This Mcdonalds is the slowest one I have ever been to. They always mess up the orders too. Make sure you check your bag to see if you got everything. We were in the drive thru and we ordered so the lady said waiting on fries can you pull to the first space. We pulled to the first space , waited 10 minutes. I went inside and my bag was just sitting on the counter. And then I started walking away but checked my bag and saw the salsa I asked for 10x in the drive thru wasn't in the bag. If I could give a negative rating I would, the service was crap, after telling them no mayo on my sandwich they still continued to put it on it. Also, I ordered a pie, and they forgot to put it in the bag so when I drove around to tell them they gave me an attitude and acted like it was my fault that they didn't do their job correctly, not only that but the pie was ice cold! This location is super close to where I live and I com here all the time. It's a hit or miss.. Sometimes the drive through you get done so fast even with many cars in front of you and sometimes it may take forever with just one or two cars in front. Staff is friendly. I always get the fudge sundae and they out hardly any fudge on it... I have to ask for extra because it's 95% ice cream! read more

This is probably the absolute worst McDonalds drive thru ever. The service is HORID. If you want fast food DO NOT come to this drive thru. We never did even order after waiting at least 30 minutes in the drive thru line. Finally drove away after calling the inside of the store and speaking to someone who said he was going to take my order but never did. We sat at the speaker waiting and waiting. They said, "hold on" and NEVER came back. We finally left and went to Burger King down the road. Much better experience there. read more

My child works at this location and when I called to inquire why a day that was requested off by my child and they had my child scheduled anyway and I was told in a rude manner by the Manager Will. I did a favor for your child and gave the day off, but Will didn't replace it with another day. Also when I called one of the crew members were pretending to be the manager. read more

Horrible...Just horrible. Every time I go to this McDonald's (mind you, it's the closest one to my house) I get horrible service, I go through the drive thru at 3AM dead as can be, one other car was in the line and staff didnt answer the voicebox for about 6 minutes. After the 6 minutes, staff comes on sounding like she was too occupied to take our order. I finally order a quarter pounder with cheese meal, which comes with fries and a drink. My boyfriend orders the crispy chicken honey mustard wrap. We wait in line for about 10-15 minutes, no exaggeration while the other car sits in front of us waiting for their food as well. FINALLY, we get the food and the only thing decent about it was the fries. My boyfriend order a crispy wrap and got a grilled and my quarter pounder with cheese tasted funny like it wasn't cooked enough with spoiled ketchup thrown on it. The only good thing I have to say about this McDonald's is that their coke products are great. This McDonald's should fire their whole staff including the manager and hire a new staff/manager...maybe people who take a little pride in their job, I know this is McDonalds and not expecting 5 star meals and service, but not this deadbeat and horrid establishment. Noon on a rainy Tuesday, Southfield Road at 12 1/2 Mile. Very few customers in dining room so service was pretty quick. Staff is friendly, place is very clean. Tile floor is slick when wet. Food was fine but cost $9 for a club sandwich and a medium (smallish) shake. Seating is not terribly comfortable. Modern, two TV's on CNN, free wifi. All in all, better than most McD's. read more

I wish that your slogan that "you want every customer to have a wonderful experience" was true but, it's not. My 5 year old daughter and I went inside and ordered 2, 6 piece nuggets and 2 small fries. When they handed the food all in 1 paper bag my daughter began to ask me why her food wasn't in a happy meal box. I advised her I didn't order a happy meal, she then became upset and I asked the cashier young man who waited on me, if she could have her food in a box. He handed me the box, we didn't want a toy, or drink or anything else for FREE, she just wanted a box. Out of nowhere a Supervisor (lady) on duty grabbed the box out of my hands and said very loudly "THIS BOX IS NOT FREE, CUSTOMERS HAVE TO PAY FOR THIS BOX, YOU CANT HAVE THIS"!!!! She then started touching the food and taking it out of the box with her bare hands. I asked her to not touch my food and she told the workers to make me new food. She then went in the back and I could hear her telling other employees what just happened. I was not only humiliated in front of other guests but I can't believe how my daughter and I were treated, all over a HAPPY MEAL BOX. She should NOT be a Supervisor/Manager and this needs to be addressed asap. I also want to add the young cashier man that handed me the box was very apologetic to me for what the Supervisor did. If you think KFC has a strange aura, then they have nothing on McDonalds. The workers here want $15 an hour to work, but they haven't earned it. As many times as they mess up the order at this location, I don't think they'll get it any time soon. Also, the menu really needs to be revamped. For the same price as a basic combo, I can get a much better-tasting burger at a fast-casual restaurant with better service FOR THE SAME PRICE. Just visited McDonalds on 30161 Southfield Rd. There were 8 cars in drive-thru and 8-9 customers in line inside the store with just one cashier. I believe her name was Janice. Placed my order at 1:37 for two McChicken sandwich and it took them 15 mins and counting before I had to ask about my food. Upon asking a gentleman in green shirt if he was manager, he just looked at me, ignored me and walked away. I asked another person how long before I can see my food and I got same response or lack of. When asked the cashier what was manager's name, she claimed that she is still new and doesn't know anyone's names. Same time another employee looked at me and said "Oh, she knows but she just won't tell you". What the heck??? There were customers yelling for their food who were there before me and after me. When another lady asked for her money back, they just ignored her. All the employees kept walking towards back to avoid having to deal with all the upset customers. 100% failure at customer service and lost at least me as a customer for life. Eventually I was able to get my money back and a name, Nikita D. Yet I keep hearing in news, "WE WANT $15/Hr." read more
