Came up to this McDonalds in Southfield at 8pm and noticed there was a sign in the window that said Drive thru only. Then at the drive they only one of the two lanes was opened. There were employees inside laughing and joking around. This is a shame because this used to be a good location. People were leaving because no one came to the drive thru speaker. I hope the owner knows they are losing money. Oh and by the way this was a Friday night. read more

Groooossssssssssssssss. Not only is this place slower than molasses on a winter's day, I have zero doubt in my mind that this is one of the most dirty, unhygienic restaurants in this area. Case in point: this morning, I stopped in for a really unhealthy sausage biscuit and coffee. I witnessed the cashier handle money, wipe his nose with his fingers and back of his hand, grab a coffee lid and rub his fingers on the inside of it. That lid made it onto my coffee. I was so grossed out that I threw the entire thing away and didn't ask for a manager because there were approximately three people working the front, and they were chatting and on their phones and ignoring the very long drive-thru line. This location shouldn't receive any stars. My girls wanted a happy meal for dinner. We already knew what we wanted when we got up to the window but upon ordering discovered they were completely out of frozen drinks. No biggie right!? Wrong apparently. As I'm trying to figure out what my 6 and 7 yr old want the employee was literally huffing and puffing and I even heard a "my god" from her out of the speaker. We weren't even taking long before my 6 yr old said she wanted a Sprite. Then this employee tells me to wait a minute but doesn't mute her mic before she clearly starts complaining about something else. I assume it's because she feels I'm taking to long but who knows. Regardless she get back on the speaker and very rudely tries rushing me along while my 7yr old is trying to decide on a second drink. This woman continues to huff and puff and have an attitude. I don't need that disrespect especially in front of my small children. I simply stated to her that she seemed very frustrated and that I was just gonna leave and I pulled off from the drive-through line. FYI this whole entire ordeal only took a few minutes. This happened at or shortly before 6 PM today just so if management happens to see this maybe they can figure it out who it was. I have contacted McDonald's directly through their website and I am waiting for a callback. This behavior is unacceptable and should never be tolerated. read more

Took my son to grab a couple McGriddles which are supposed to have at least egg and cheese. He ordered one with meat , one without. The one without was 2 pieces of bread.....no egg or cheese. The one with meat was just 2 pieces of bread and a piece of sausage. No egg or cheese. The level of employee competence is that of a mentally challenged preschooler. Is it possible to 0 stars? I don't expect much from McDonalds or any fast food chain really. However, this location in particular always the food tastes like it was made hours ago. The burgers are always super dry. The fries are always cold never salter. The employees never wear gloves and have their masks around their chin. Seriously disgusted by the employees who work here. If I could give this place a zero, I would, last night I went to get dinner, just a simple meal with a burger, fries, and a soda. Over the speaker I told the girl no onions and no mustard and on the screen she put no cheese. I pulled up to the window and made sure that she got the no onions and no mustard and she says "you said no cheese." I told her the correct order and she just flipped the patty with onions over so I couldn't see it and just slapped cheese on. We went back around to again correct the order and they laughed over the speaker and we're snickering behind the window. By the time I got my burger I felt as if they spit in it so I didn't even end up eating it, by the time I got home I realized they're sprite was out. This place is by far the WORST McDonald I have ever been to. I'd say call corporate but I probably wouldn't be the first to do so and clearly there isn't anything being done about this. read more

KEEP DRIVING TO GO TO A DIFFERENT MCDONALD's!! This is absolutely the worst McDonald's before and after covid. I live a few blocks away and have kids who like McDonald's so we end up going there -- or trying to -- regularly. In all the years we've been going they have gotten our order right ZERO times. They never remember the sauce so we always check before we leave the drive through: no sauce, wrong meal, missing fries-- they keep finding new and more impressive ways to screw up orders. One time they gave us water instead of sprite so now we have to check the drinks as well before we drive away. The milkshake machine is ALWAYS down so don't even bother asking and they no longer offer all day breakfast like most locations do -- if it is 10:31 you will not be allowed to order breakfast. Today I was in the drive thru line at 10:15 but by the time they took my order it was 10:32 and they wouldn't let me order. We've seen the soda machine so filthy that I would not let my kids fill their cups at it, overflowing garbage and flies around the ketchup dispenser: the inside is closed now due to covid and that's probably for the best, but be sure to triple check your order before you pull away bc you can't go inside to get it fixed when you find out it's wrong. Their poor service has been going on for YEARS so you can be sure it has to do with the owner / management. I wish they'd improve because they are so close to my house. We now regularly drive to the location on Woodward which is a mile further away just to avoid this one (I gave them a chance today bc I was in a hurry, so shame on me!) read more

I understand that the milkshake machine is sometimes down. However, I do not understand the rude attitude from the staff when I'm trying to order a small vanilla milkshake. The transaction went like this: Me: "I'd like a small vanilla milkshake pl..." Staff: "Milkshake machine is not working." (glares at me) A far more appropriate response would have been, "I'm sorry. Our milkshake machine is currently not working. Could I get something else for you?" But, in this case, there was no apology, no asking if there's something else I'd like. Just a terse, rude response. I would avoid this McDonald's altogether, but my 8 year old son with Down syndrome has eating issues. As a part of his program to overcome those issues, he gets a reward when he eats his meals enough times. His choice of reward is a McDonald's plain vanilla milkshake. So, this rude behavior was encountered when I was trying to reward my son for eating his meals. The staff at this McDonald's really should be ashamed of themselves for their rotten attitude towards their customers. read more

Not the greatest McDonalds I have been to but definitely not the worst one I have been to. The service isn't significantly bad. It's right near my house and I have ordered a Frappe from here multiple times and they do not fill the cups up very high at all which is kind of a rip off. Food is very good though other than that. The drive thru is quite slow, even with two drive thru lanes it is still quite slow. It's quite tidy inside though, which is different for a Southfield business. read more

Very rude staff. I ordered from the Mobile App at about 10:45 PM and it said this place was open 24 hours. Upon arrival, I selected Curbside Pickup and waited about 5 minutes, finally getting annoyed enough to walk in. Once I did, they said they were CLOSED (at 11 PM) and that I had to get a refund for what I ordered. I then asked them how do I do that and one of them gives me a sassy attitude response 'open the app and figure it out', word for word, while giving me a 'I don't give a s**t' look. I am so very disappointed! We go to this McDonald's every once in awhile and we always have to check our food. Most times it's wrong. Or just nasty looking. So I bring it back in to have it fixed. The last time we went we forgot to check. I know our bad. But when we got home we noticed that the two cheese burgers we had ordered had no meat. I come here often during work. Line is always long since it's only drive thru-which I've learned to accept since it's the closest one to me. Service isn't always the best but it is what it is except for today. Middle age lady working the window had the shittiest attitude and smiled knowing she pissed me off. I did the daily deal for free McCafé drink on the app and ordered the Oreo frappe. Get there, she tries to hand me a McFlurry, i tell her i ordered the Oreo frappe. "We don't got that" so i ask for a different frappe, "we don't have no frappuccinos" I'm like okay can i just get a regular drink if possible? then she proceeds to berate the worker from the speaker for not telling me they were out of the frappes, while having a whole attitude with me. The nice young Worker asks me if i would like anything else i tell her don't worry about it, it was free on the app anyways. Cus at this point I'm over the whole interaction with the other lady. Moment i say that, the other worker is going to say "it's free she doesn't deserve anything to cover for it" then smiles at me handing my drink knowing her nasty attitude made me mad when i was nothing but understanding. If I could give this place less than a one I would. I thought I was going to barf when after about three bites of my egg mcmuffin while driving, I glanced down to look at my sandwich....that gelatinous, slimy goop that was on the bread. Not cooked at all, it looked like flowing snot. I almost puked right there in my car. I dry heaved a dozen times and fought the urge to puke. I was really lucky that I was strong enough to keep it in. the only good thing is that I will probably NEVER ever eat an egg mcmuffin ever again. Don't waste your time coming to this McDonalds. Don't waste your time going to just about any McDonalds these days. The food is rarely any good. The prices are too high. The customer service is non existent. I waited in the drive thru line for over 20 minutes and when I reached the window I was told they could take cash only. Waste of time. How about offering me a free cup of coffee at the very least for my trouble. I understand for many of the employees this is a first or entry level job. I would typically give some slack since most establishments are having a tough time during covid, but this location was terrible even before the pandemic. This is the SLOWEST & worst in regards to customer service. Each time I go through the drive through, my order is wrong & each time I try to go inside... it takes 10+ minutes for anyone to even acknowledge that there are customers in line waiting to order. Today I DARED ask if anyone was working the registers inside to take orders and I got the look of death from the lady whom I'm assuming was the manager. The drink station is filthy, garbage overflowing. Tables , chairs, floor and windowsills are dirty and covered in crumbs. It's obvious that the "management" is either incompetent or just doesn't care. I don't blame the workers as most who have been there are nice and it's obvious that they are understaffed and under trained. It's a shame. read more

I find myself setting in this McDonald's - wishing not to have to speak to its' failing just yet - regrettably having to state my observations - As I have not tried much of the food - yet: This McDonald's - by far - has the WORST customer satisfaction of any McDonald's I have been to, TO DATE! I will tell you what I told the store manager: Every day that I have come here, 1 out of every 3, if not 1 out of every 2 customers have something wrong with their food - from the wrong drink being served to them, to some item missing from the sandwich. As it has been said, "Let others praise you, and not your own mouth." I mention this because when I approach the management about what I have seen and heard from their customers, I was told of the praises of other customers, as a response. When this was the time to listen and take note. And hopefully, make some changes. This place probably does not receive to many reviews because it's not even worth reviewing. The food is ok on a good day, but the the staff on the window at 9am today was getting smart with people because no one could see the note 5 feet above the speaker that read, " No Staff" lightly written in blue ink. To bad because the Burger King down the street was at least trying to fill orders with only 1 staff. That one staff at Burger King was more efficient than a full staff at that McDonalds. read more
