It's been a long time since I've had a burger with more than one pickle on it from this location. They only ever give me one single pickle slice in the middle of the burger. I like pickles and I deserve more than a single pickle if I pay for a burger that's supposed to come with pickles. I don't want to have to order "extra" just to have enough. The same problem exists with the minced onions. I'm not exaggerating when I say they give you 4 pieces of 1 millimetre x 1mm minced onion. Not just sometimes. Every time I go. You can't even see the onions. If I get a hamburger, it's basically just two damp pieces of bread and a skinny patty. And eating at McDonald's is getting much more expensive, very quickly. Where are my pickles and onions McDonald's? Find it in your miserable corporate souls to take a marginal cut to your profits and put the toppings back on our burgers. If McDonald's goes belly up because they put toppings on the burgers that they sell then I guess they weren't doing a very good job of being a restaurant. And why is a large fries almost 5 dollars? Half a bag of potatoes is 4 dollars. Get outta here with that. I'll go to Wendy's instead. People aren't as addicted to the fries as they hope we are, especially since they changed the fries. Over the years they've become hard and tasteless. 20 years ago they were cooked in beef fat and at this point I'm guessing they use the cheapest oil they can possibly source and they're hoping the brand carries them. 4/18/14 Went to the drive thru for two milkshakes. After being told there was no vanilla, I could choose between chocolate and shamrock. I ordered two chocolate milkshakes. When I finally get to the window, the young man working blurbs out the wrong order to me and I tell him I only had two milkshakes. He stops and says "we don't even have chocolate! Only Shamrock! Who took this order? Hang on a sec, would ya?" With that, he put his cell phone down (HE WASN'T EVEN PAYING ATTENTION OR LISTENING TO ME!!! HE WAS ON HIS PHONE!!!) He returned and said there was no milkshake so I immediately left the drive thru. It's very sad that communication is too much for the younger generation to handle and respect at the same time. My three star rating is based on all McDonalds in St. Johns area I've been to. I usually get a drive through order here and it's correct most of the time and generally fairly fresh and put together properly. The dining room at this location is terrible and by far the worst of all the McDonalds I've been to. Since moving to the east end this is usually the McDonalds I go to when I need a quick bite. I was there last night at about quarter to eleven and the place was a mess. There was no ketchup stocked, there were hardly any napkins, lids or straws stocked - in fact there were only few regular sized lids left when I got my drink at the sticky, messy counter. The fries were cold and we sent them back before we even got our full order - the mcflurry order was wrong but I didn't mind as I was curious to see if the m and m flurries are as good as the smarties (they're not) however there was only one table that looked clean enough to sit at. Out of curiosity I grabbed some receipts left behind on various tables in the dining room and found that the mess had been piling up for at least two hours before I got there. I understand the dining room closes at twelve and maybe the staff felt they could leave the clean-up until then but the place wasn't busy and it was a state over an hour before the dining room closed. That's inexcusable. When I left, I had trouble finding a garbage can that wasn't full. I manage to cram my refuse into one barely-overfilled can so perhaps that's why people left their mess everywhere. If I was the owner of this restaurant I would be embarrassed. Twenty minutes would have made the place look a million times better. No one wants to eat surrounded by filth and sticky floors and tables. UPDATE: it's been a few months and it hasn't gotten any better. Last time I went inside was for the build a burger deal as it was half off. I got off work early to get down before midnight to take advantage of the last day but was told by the night shift supervisor that the deal was only 11-7 despite that not being advertised anywhere on the billboard and only seeing it in the fine print on an in-store poster. They decided to throw it in the garbage instead of honouring my order at half price which I in turn cancelled. A few weeks later and i ordered two small coffees as part of their special one dollar small coffee promotion. I had a lattee and a coffee. Turns out a coffee wasn't included as a special coffee despite coffee supposedly being their specialty. I canceled this order when the supervisor refused to honor both at a dollar and tax seeing how the billboard again had not distinguished that in any fine print. I don't know who this guy has working there but more often than not they have no pride. There's a few foreign guys that work there and I'm convinced they're the only ones who care about their jobs and their customer service. His McDonalds location also seems to take their customer service a little more seriously. I'm adjusting this rating to one star. It's the worst McDonalds by far and having lived so close to it the last year, I hope it gets its self together or finds new management. read more

I come here about once every few weeks or so and each time I come they mix up my order. I was reluctant to write a review until now, Today I went back to this McDonalds and ordered two chicken McWraps one grilled and one crispy. As I hate mayo I asked for it with no mayo and just sweet chili sauce, what I got when it came out was two wraps with mayo and no sweet chili the complete opposite of what I asked for. I said no mayo about three times and they still were so confused during the order process. I brought back the two wraps and they gave me back two new ones(IN TEN MINUTES) but they still misunderstood me, they gave me two wraps with nothing on them but sweet chili sauce and chicken! I still wanted the lettuce and cucumber on it. I can say this right now I will be going to a different McDonalds from now on as I can't bear this kind of crap service any longer! read more
