Conveniently located off the highway, in a shared lot with a double drive thru. On this visit, with only one vehicle ahead of me, I still had to wait over 5 minutes to even pay. When pulling up to the cashier's window, I wasn't greeted or even told to wait a minute or anything. The cashier was talking with other employees because she was having trouble with the cash register. She then turned to me to ask for my payment. The employee who served me my food, was very friendly and thanked me for coming. My hash brown was hot and just perfect. This was my first time having the egg and cheese bagel. I ordered it without breakfast sauce because I didn't know what that was. I requested cream cheese and they stated they don't carry that. How do you have a bagel with no cream cheese? There are very few employees with good customer service. The food has gotten me sick multiple times (don't know why I keep eating here) and there have been many times I've ordered and asked for specific orders like no onions, and there is always onions. I order no onions due to allergies. We ordered our 3 happy meals and a Big Mac and it took 15 minutes to get the food - mostly because the entire teenage staff left their post to go join a fight in the parking lot. Real classy. Yesterday on 5/19/25 I went up to McDonald with my boyfriend because for the past 3 days he has went there to eat lunch and just want extra ketchup on burger. But that did not happen for the 3 times he went. So we went there together and I ordered his food just the way he has for the past 3 days. I paid for are food and we got to the window and i checked ALL the burgers and NONE of his had extra ketchup on them. I talk to a lady with pink hair and she took the food back with her hands and touch the sandwich mind you. And then came back and tried handing the SAME sandwich I sent back to be made right!!! I told her I am no taking a sandwich that you touch with your nasty hands (NO ONE WOULD) and she said with a fat attitude well I'll just remake it then. I said ya you would have in the 1st place and she told me to full up and I told her no I'll wait right here because it would not take over a min to make a sandwich. So she left to get me the new sandwich and then i opened it back up and to find ketchup all OVER THE TOP OF THE BUN!!! I talked to the guy that was there yesterday and he was taking to me like I was dumb or something and saying I was being rude when his own employees can't get anything right and my boyfriend told him this the 4 times that his food is not right he did not give a shit about how his employees was making the food or how they gave with there nasty hands all over it. Horrible experience. We got home and realized we were given the wrong order. We tried calling up there and no one answered so within 10 minutes of getting home, we drove back up there to get our order corrected. The manager on shift at the time was super "inconvenienced" that she had to get up and come help her employee with our situation. She then told us she would not make our order right because "it had been too long" we live a solid 15 minutes from there so at this point we were around 45 minutes from original time of order. She then proceeded to YELL at my family and when asked who else we could talk to, she laughed and said "no one. There is no corporate; there is only one owner" so we asked how we could speak to the owner and she turned around and walked away with no response. What ever happened to just making things right for a customer? You gave us the wrong order in the first place; one that wouldn't even feed everyone in my family. My husband and I went to this location tonight and spent $30 on absolutely terrible food. We ordered 5 McDoubles 3-no pickle and 2-no onion a large fry and a medium fry. When they handed me the bag I knew I should have double checked everything. We arrived home and our food was cold! My husband didn't even eat his friend bc they were so cold. My McDoubles with no onions... pretty sure they messed that up, took the patties, scraped off the onions and then flipped the two patties together to hide their screw up. Waited in drive thru lane with one car in front of me for ten minutes as car in the other lane gave there order and pulled around, could here the young girl working the drive thru laughing and joking around with her friends in the car, they finally pulled forward and I was asked for my order, started to give my order and asked to wait a minute. I go to this McDonald's for coffee and an occasional breakfast once a week....if I get Ashley...the service is perfect. This morning it wasn't Ashley and the service was horrible. The cashier in the drive through lane asked me if I wanted the receipt. I said no...and she then proceeded to short change me. I didn't realize it til I had pulled a car length ahead...it was just 75 cents...so no big deal...but I was a wee bit perturbed...and then they handed me my food...I got home...it was the wrong order wrong food....two for two...bad change...wrong order. So, this is not the type of restaurant I would normally review, but I found it to be an exceptional dining experience (for Troy--remember, dining out is relative!) and therefore worth the write up. Every once in a while work brings me to Troy for at least part of the day. It's one of those situations where I don't have access to a kitchen or a fridge, so I'm essentially forced to eat out. There are a lot of places to eat on Highway 47 (i.e the main drag in town), but they're all fast food. Where can a girl get a halfway decent non-artery clogging lunch in this town? Enter this McDonald's. It's the cleanest, friendliest, most efficient McDonald's I've ever visited. Instead of the the usual surly teenagers behind the counter, the employees here are friendly and helpful. The restaurant is clean and modern looking. I always order the same thing--a grilled chicken Caesar salad. The grilled chicken breast is always hot and juicy, fresh off the grill. The salad itself is fresh and not just iceberg, but lots of darker greens like romaine and spinach. Unlike some other fast food salads, the salad at this location is not wet, old or slimy. There's also really fresh carrots and tomatoes, too. All things considered, this is as good a salad as you would get in a nicer sit down restaurant. And at about $5, this is the probably the tastiest, cheapest, healthiest lunch you're going to get in Troy. read more

He couldn't get our order right, we corrected it twice, then he wants to yell over the speaker, "I ASKED YOU IF YOU WANTED THAT!" & " I ASKED YOU IF THAT WAS ALL"! McDonald's in Troy Missouri is my favorite one! I've gone to 3 different ones around the United States. This one is better than all of them. I go a couple times a month, it's clean, the workers are nice and always smiling. Every time I go they don't forget anything. Only once they forgot 2 things, on a busy day. So, I have lived in Troy for 2 1/2 years. I understand McDonald's as a company hires a lot of minors and I applaud them for that but they also need to be managed properly. I'm not placing blame solely on the kids working there, most of them are very nice. This place is mismanaged and I thought things would've gotten better after their remodel but it has not. I have visited here quite often because the number of fast food places in Troy seem to out number the places of nicer sit down restaurants. I've held off on writing a review on just the fact of the food is almost always cold and obviously not fresh, I mean we all pretty much expect that from McDonald's. Every once in a while I might get an order of hot fries with my cold burger but not very often. The real disappointment I have is that at Christmas I bought 3 five dollar gift cards to hand out and just recently I have found out that all three of them have zero dollars on them. I bought them through the drive-through and gave the young lady cash for them. I am so embarrassed and now I'm going to have to buy three more gift cards (not McDonald's) to make up for the fact that I handed out blank gift cards. Also I'll most likely raise the amount on each in order to say I'm sorry. So thanks a lot Troy McDonald's for costing me extra money I can really afford and making me look like a jerk. read more

Just left the drive thru-My order was for a quarter pounder with cheese meal with a SWEET TEA. $8.45. Got my order-young man handed me the drink and stated, "Here's your sweet tea". NO-it was definitely not sweet! The french fries were cold and the Quarter pounder looked more like the size of a regular cheese burger. Oh, and it too was cold. McDonalds is usually my last choice for food when working and especially when the last meal was missed due to emergencies...but from now on, it will not be a choice. I've lived in Troy for 5 years now and this place is consistently terrible. It has been my experience that fast food restaurants in small towns tend to have much better quality than their counterparts in the big cities, but not the case in Troy, Mo at all. The food is lukewarm 80% of the time...no exaggeration. They will sell you anything, no matter how long it has been sitting. I challenge any manager or boss there to get food anonymously 5 days in a row. I am extremely confident your food will be gross most of the time. I guess they get away with it because it is 20 miles from the nearest alternative McDonalds. It is dirty too and there is litter and overflowing trashcans all over the place daily. They are doing a bunch of remodeling right now and I just shake my head because what they need is better standards, not new walls. read more
