I have been stopping at this location for many years. It is conveniently located on our route to the beach. They receive a lot of beach traffic in the summer. My transaction today was on par with the normal McDonalds experience. I went through the drive thru. It was a double drive thru. My order came out correctly. The food was warm, fresh, and good. No complaints. The cashier was friendly. They weren't slow. They had a sanitation grade of 98.5 posted. They met my expectations. read more

If I could rate this 0/5 I would. This McDonald's is HORRIBLE. My family and I were driving by and decided to stop because my son loves cheeseburgers. We waited in the drive through for 20+ minutes just for them to get our food completely incorrect. Ordered plain mcdoubles with only bacon, ketchup and cheese. There were a ton of onions almost like someone just dumped them on top, pickles and mustard. Not only that, they smelled atrocious like the meat was spoiled. Do not recommend this place at all, save your money. Called to tell them and they just said they'd tell the kitchen, not sure how that was supposed to help us and were extremely rude like us being there/calling to complain was an inconvenience. read more

Unfortunately the service we received didn't have much to do with covid-19, this was more on the management and the staff. It appeared they were either understaffed or had no collective team effort getting stuff done. I waited about 10 minutes to put in an order, and another 15 for my food. I had to go back in because they left out an item. The person taking my order appeared very stressed out and tired of working that day. The service is horrible. This is a 24 hour restaurant but the employees will refuse to answer the the drive through or tell you that they are busy switching over to breakfast. Then you can see the employees getting paid to hang out in the dining room and ignore you. I only gave this McDonalds a 1 star because you have to. Took 30 min to get food, no ice in one of the drinks, the worker was mad because she had to work both drive thru and front counter. She was Mad enough to lock the doors to prevent any body else from coming in. There was 3 of us inside. Problem with locking the doors was WE were still in there. I took my food finally and left. Got down the road and the McMuffin was burnt. The worst McDonalds by far. No apology for being slow or anything. I understand being understaff but to have an attitude to the customer too? I sat at the outside lane speaker for over 5 minutes. I kept saying hello. No one responded. A car pulls up. They sit and wait too. I'm thinking they must be short handed. Then the other lane gets their order taken. I pull to the window to tell the manager, that we've been at the outside speaker for over 5 minutes and no one answered. *Sigh* This is my home town McDonald's. On the day that I visited this location, I stood away from the counter to look at the menu to see what I wanted to order. This McDonalds is not up to corporate standards. It's brand new, but the women's bathrooms were virtually unusable because the doors were installed to open inward toward the toilet and it is extremely hard to get it or out. The men's room only had one urinal and one stall even though this location is the main highway to the beach. We ordered a coffee and fries. The coffee was good, but the fries were undercooked and not crispy and not salted. read more

My family stopped here on the way home from a summer beach trip. The lines were long, which isn't surprising, but three things were: 1) The employees all looked as if they had been beaten before starting their shifts--they looked *that* unhappy. This wasn't one or two workers, it was everyone we saw. 2) The orders were filled as slowly as I've ever seen at a McDonalds. We waited 10+ minutes after ordering before receiving our food. 3) The ladies restroom was totally out of toilet paper. On a summer Saturday on a busy highway, and the restrooms aren't checked? Overall the worst McDonalds experience I've had. I give two stars instead of one because I'm hoping that it's usually not this bad. read more

So when I go to McDonalds, my expectations are never very high. I can feed my kids and myself for $7 on a road trip - great! That's what we did...but lots of workers behind the counter had dirty/stained uniforms - not very appetizing. And that men's bathroom... you know when you have to start tiptoeing two feet from the urinal to avoid all the pee puddles that it's time to clean the bathroom. Oh wait are those Starburst wrappers and a beer bottle cap on top of the urinal? Yup. Sure I could have been a good citizen and said - "Hey maybe someone should check out that bathroom". Call me a cynic but its seems like young people are not as receptive to advice/instructions or constructive criticism these days... Unprepared to have someone look at me blankly or roll their eyes, I simply moved on with my life... This McDonald's has been the worst fast food chain experience of my life by far. The customer service was absolutely unacceptable. The workers were rude; their behavior was completely unnecessary and uncalled for. The food was gross, - the fries were not cooked up to par- soggy and flimsy, nor salty, and the sandwhiches were also soggy and absolutely repulsive. When I specifically asked for no ranch sauce on my guacamole and pico de gaillo sandwhich, I was given one that had excessive amount of sauce on it. Upon returning it and receiving another one, I was given a sandwhich without the guacamole or pico de gaillo. This was my second time to stop at this particular McDonalds. I was here 8 days ago. The food was a disaster, the service was terrible and the women's bathroom had a hand written sign saying 2 out of 3 stalls were out of order. I figured everyone has an occasional bad day. So driving back to Charlotte I made my final stop EVER at this place today. I only ordered a hot fudge sundae with nuts. Apparently she couldn't find the nuts so when she handed me the sundae it was melted with hot fudge totally around the outside of the container and on the nutpackage. I sat down and hot fudge was on my hands, the table, everywhere. I went into the bathroom, passed two gentlemen laying on a table asleep, and the same signs were still there saying 2 out of 3 of the stalls were plugged and not to use. I wanted to wash the hot fudge off my hands but a lady was washing her flip flops in the sink! Are you kidding me? This place should be condemned! read more

Well they gave him another one and this one was also dirty on the outside. It's a nice stop between the I-95 and Charlotte, tho. I don't usually do a review for a fast food or chain type restaurant, but this McDonalds has something special. No, not the items on the menu or the location or the building (although it is one of the old style McDonalds that I like better than the new ones with Wi-Fi, small counters, and the video screens); but some of the people who work there. William, who was taking orders and working the register the day we stopped in, is a gem. I don't think you could find a friendlier, happier employee anywhere. He tried to yell a greeting to everyone who entered the door if he wasn't with a customer and thanked everyone who came to his line for being there. And I believe he was sincere, not just following a script. Lisa (the manager?) was very friendly also and came in to the dining room to ask people how everything was while we were there. In this day and age where most of the time you go somewhere and the employees just want to do their job (maybe), get on to the next customer and be done for the day; these two individuals are a credit to Wadesboro, McDonalds and the owners of this franchise. read more

I don't usually do this but when I went to get my breakfast this morning I asked for a smoothie mind you I got one from there yesterday and the lady was talking incoherently she basically told me she's not gonna get me one and when I was trying to repeat my order back to her she kept yelling at me through the window talking about I can't hear you I can't hear you but she was talking over me so she couldn't hear me and she snatched a receipt from him hand which was extremely rude now some shifts they've got decent people but other people they just mess it up for everybody so I really highly doubt that I will be coming back to this McDonald's ever again because that was extremely rude how do you expect to keep a business running when you have rude staff to customers willing to pay for their meals every day how are you gonna be rude to people that makes no sense.
