Can confirm, this great little hidden gym was a lot of fun, both to drive to, as well as experience once we arrived. I love that they have a sugar-free option in their ice cream menu, the only part I would've preferred was that they had more than just that single option (for sugar-free selections). That said I have no complaints, everybody here was very pleasant and welcoming and professional, and the product itself was high quality for sure. I would love to give this place five full stars but I'll hold off until they have a few more sugar-free options for folks. I mean it though it's only the fact that they had just one choice of sugar free ice cream, that is the ONLY downside. But I can tell they're on the way up so the next time I go out there I hope to update this review with a fifth star!! That said, I will say we got two desserts here one was the strawberry shortcake. It tasted absolutely phenomenal, very fresh. I wouldn't be surprised if that was homemade ice cream, and it could've been more than a few hours old shortcake. The second dessert we tried was the peach cobbler with the butter, pecan, sugar-free ice cream, I could not tell that it was sugar-free, some of the best sugar-free ice cream I've ever had, And the dessert itself once again tasted extremely fresh. I made the statement after it was all over, that I can absolutely tell (from my experience today at Peaches n Cream) when something is fresh and when it's not. Nothing in the world better than a roadside produce/ice cream stand on a warm spring day. Come to think of it, ice cream is good anytime. Road up to Monroe to visit some family and made a point to stop by here on the way back to the house. Stopped by and the place was packed. Just what I like to see. Whenever we come home to North Carolina, we have to pick up some stuff that's just hard to get in San Diego. The wife picked up a jars of local honey and apple butter and I got two big ol' packs of country ham. Now, on to the main we reason we stopped: The Ice Cream. The ice cream is homemade but I think they have tub ice cream available also along with regular food. Being the hawg that I am, I ordered a double scoop of butter peCAN ( not pe-caan) in one of their homemade waffle cones. Right off the bat, my eyes popped out. Their serving of ice cream is massive. For the first time in my life, I was not able to finish my ice cream. Still, for all this, the prices are very reasonable. As I stated, I got the two scoops and the wife got one and the total price was less than $10. Waaaay better than going to a Cold Stone Creamery and taking out a loan for a small cone. We stopped here when driving through Wadesboro. Plenty of good ratings to draw us in. They have fresh produce and fruit, plus honey, jams and jellies. The produce was reasonably priced, but I didn't buy any. The peaches looked great and they offered several pre-packed baskets in different sizes. We did get the ice cream though. I love that they have several homemade options. They also offer some Breyers options if that's your preference, as well as peach cobbler, shakes and pound cake (lemon, vanilla, almond). I got two scoops in a waffle cone and chose peach and blueberry. OMG, I would drive back here for the blueberry ice cream alone!! I expected peach to be the star, and it may have been if I hadn't tasted the blueberry first. It was the best I've ever had. Both flavors had fresh fruit mixed in which was a plus. I had to travel through Wadesboro on my way to client sites out in Eastern NC a couple of times recently so I finally decided to stop & check this place out on my way back home. The employees were super nice and they have a nice variety of produce & other goodies like jams, honey, plants, eggs, etc. The strawberries I got here were local & so delish!!! I don't think all of their produce is local....but the berries definitely are! So, on my most recent stop, I also decided to get an ice cream - sugar cone with peach ice cream. Yum! They have a cute little porch area with rocking chairs if you would like to sit & enjoy your ice cream before taking off. When stopping by here on the way back home it kind of sucks because I have to turn left across 2 lanes of 74 traffic to stop in. Then when leaving, to get back on 74... I have to head back towards Wadeboro and then do a U turn to get reoriented in the right direction...but it was worth the hassle read more
